Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord: What Every Christian Needs to Know about the Return of Christ (Paperback)

Product Description

Many of us have been told that we will be "raptured out of here before the Antichrist arrives."

But what if this is wrong?

Is this really what the Bible teaches?

In this thought-provoking and freshly examined account of the second coming of Christ, Alan Kurschner traces the key topics and passages, providing compelling biblical evidence that the church will first encounter the Antichrist's great tribulation before the rapture.

Jesus warns us, "Remember, I have told you ahead of time" (Matt. 24:25).

And Paul cautions us, "Let no one in any way deceive you, for that day will not arrive until the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness [Antichrist] is revealed, the son of destruction" (2 Thess. 2:3).

Since Jesus and Paul ominously warn us "ahead of time," should this not be an urgent message the church needs to hear? Are we spiritually preparing our hearts to be "overcomers" for what may soon come to pass?

By reading "Antichrist Before the Day of the Lord" you will discover the Bible teaches that Antichrist will arrive before the day of the Lord.

Topics in the book include:

Also included: Alan Kurschner engages his endtime theology (eschatology) of the prewrath perspective with other prophecy positions such as pretribulationism and posttribulationism.

“This book is well worth the time spent in order to have a good understanding of the Pre-Wrath position on the Rapture. The wide range use of charts and graphics helps the reader to understand the concepts with clarity. … The term Pre-Wrath may be new, but the concept is Pauline and patristic in origin. Kurschner is not a sensationalist, instead approaches the subject from a scholarly perspective to deconstruct the flawed arguments for imminency.” – Tom Klein

“Changing a long held belief can be painful, especially when you find it based upon faulty or incomplete information. For almost two decades I held to a Pre-Tribulational view of eschatology. To be sure I had reservations and questions but until recently I did not make a concerted effort to resolve these issues. … In my opinion that worthy effort was just made a little easier with Alan Kurschner's new book Antichrist Before The Day Of The Lord.

“Mr. Kurschner approaches end time events from a Pre-Wrath perspective. His clear analysis and insightful perspective adds credibility to the Pre-Wrath position. If you are a serious student of Bible prophecy you will enjoy this journey from the Old Testament prophets to the words of Jesus and then on to New Testament apostles and back again. In summary I believe this book to be one of the best written on the subject of the Pre-Wrath position. It has helped clarify to me, several aspects of Jesus' return and its relationship to the ‘rapture’. I would recommend this book to any serious student of Bible eschatology.” – William Struse, Arizona

“Outstanding … In this latest argument for the pre-wrath position, Alan Kurschner has toiled carefully to produce the finest, most understandable treatise so far on what is arguably one of the most important questions of premillennial eschatology: ‘Were the disciples taught by Jesus, and was the early Church taught by the Apostle Paul, to be prepared to encounter the person of Antichrist?’ As developed by Kurschner, the answer is decidedly ‘yes’.

“Finally, one feature of this book to be appreciated is how concise & readable it is. While answering the essential question of the Church encountering the Antichrist before the Day of the Lord, it also contains a great deal of easy-to-understand explanations coupled with a powerful overview of the prewrath position as a whole. The text is 169 pages, plus an additional 62 pages of appendices, plus a scripture index. The editorial work, layout, and publishing quality is commendable.” – David S. Mohler, Dayton, Ohio

“Alan Kurschner presents a clear picture of the Day of the Lord and what precedes it. The Scriptures, as well as the early Church Fathers, clearly stated that the Church would experience apostasy and the rise of Antichrist before the great and awesome Day of the Lord. This should be a book that everyone has in their personal library and should be shared with all who love Christ and His future appearing to rescue His children from the midst of Satan's wrath. My hope and prayer is that those who read this book will come to the same conclusion that I and many others have found: that the Prewrath position is the most plausible of all the position's espoused today concerning Christ's return.” – Al Davis
