10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and othe world did not know Him. 11 pHe came to His 3own, and His 4own did not receive Him. "Jn 1:9-11

6 pFor God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten qSon, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 rFor God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 s“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, tthat the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For ueveryone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been vdone in God.” Jn 3:16-21

2 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, i“I am the light of the world. He who jfollows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
13 The Pharisees therefore said to Him, k“You bear witness o  Jn 8:12-13

44 Then Jesus cried out and said, w“He who believes in Me, xbelieves not in Me ybut in Him who sent Me. 45 And zhe who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46 aI have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if anyone hears My words and does not 7believe, bI do not judge him; for cI did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

8 w“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. 19 xIf you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet ybecause you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that..."   Jn 15:18-20

6 k“I have 3manifested Your name to the men lwhom You have given Me out of the world. mThey were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word. 7 Now they have known that all things which You have given Me are from You. 8 For I have given to them the words nwhich You have given Me; and they have received them, oand have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that pYou sent Me.
9 “I pray for them. qI do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. 10 And all Mine are Yours, and rYours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 sNow I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, tkeep 4through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one uas We are. 12 While I was with them 5in the world, vI kept them in 6Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and wnone of them is 7lost xexcept the son of 8perdition, ythat the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them Your word; zand the world has hated them because they are not of the world, ajust as I am not of the world. 15 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but bthat You should keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 cSanctify 9them by Your truth. dYour word is truth. 18 eAs You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And ffor their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth." Jn 17:6-19
