He bled to life, not death!

He died for us that we might have Life in Him!

Through the ages, sin has brought envy, hatred and war. In turn, conflict and war brought death and destruction.

From shore to shore and age to age, the curse of sin and death has crushed man's hope and spread despair. Few knew or remembered that long ago, God became man and lived among us!

Centuries before He gave His for us, the prophet Isaiah had given Israel a glimpse of His coming:

He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief....
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:3-5)

Sentenced for the crime of speaking the Truth, Jesus was stripped and beaten. His blood spilt forth as He carried the cross on which He would die for the sins of man. But the drops of blood that fell from His tortured body led eternal Life, not death!

Jesus "bled to life -- eternal life!" And all  who believed in Him were cleansed by the "River of Life that flows from the veins of Immanuel."  Because He bled to life, we have a hope that never pass away. Beyond the grave, heaven is open and the stone rolled away -- all because Jesus bled to life.

"And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb." (Revelation 22:1)

"And they *sang a new song, saying, 'Worthy art Thou to take the book, and to break its seals; for Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for God with Thy blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. (Revelation 5:9)

 What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Nothing can my sin erase
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
Naught of works, 'tis all of grace--
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

This is all my hope and peace--
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
This is all my righteousness--
Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
