Rick Warren's Bridge to Islam: "Do Muslims even claim to worship the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as Christians and Jews do? No.... They believe the Jewish and Christian Bibles are misrepresentations of truth. They believe the Quran accurately and faithfully represents the true personality and will of God....The Hebrew-Christian God is characterized by love. The Islamic god is characterized by war and vengeance. The Hebrew-Christian God provides a clear path to redemption and personal salvation in a fallen world.... The Islamic god provides only one certain path to personal salvation – martyrdom."

Pastor Rick Warren Says Allah and God Are One: "He has built his temple of thousands on a platform of liberal theology.... In his typical liberal fashion, Pastor Warren has joined a movement known as King’s Way. The movement’s goal is to bring Christians and Muslims together without either group trying to proselytize or convert the other. As part of this effort, Warren announced that he wants to create a set of principles that both evangelical Christians and Muslims could agree to in the effort to bring churches and mosques closer together. One of those principles is that we both worship the same God. In other words, God and Allah are one in the same deity." See Unity and Community

February 2012

Rick Warren builds bridge to Muslims: "Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church...has embarked on an effort to heal divisions between evangelical Christians and Muslims by partnering with Southern California mosques and proposing a set of theological principles that includes acknowledging that Christians and Muslims worship the same God." See Rick Warren: Fundamentalism... "one of the big enemies

Chrislam Starts To Spread In America: "Rick Warren, founder and pastor of Saddleback Community Church in Orange County California, addressed the convention of the Islamic Society of North America. Warren stated that Muslims and Christians must work together to combat stereotypes, promote peace and freedom, and solve global problems. Christians and Moslems – faith mates, soul mates and now work mates! ...

“Before we 'shake your hand' in responding to your letter, we ask forgiveness of the All-Merciful One and of the Muslim community around the world.” – Rick Warren in a speech to Muslims." See Warren's P.E.A.C.E. Plan and UN Goals: Part 2

March 2011

Global Peace Forum at Saddleback with Rick Warren and Tony Blair raises serious questions about Global Peace Plan: "Warren and Blair spoke about Warren’s PEACE Plan and his 'Three Legged Stool Plan.' Tony Blair spoke about his inter-faith Faith Foundation. Both speakers were noticeably excited about what they were doing for the world.

"According to a 2010 UK Observer report, 'Tony Blair is preparing to launch a 'faith offensive' across the United States over the next year, after building up relationships with a network of influential religious leaders and faith organisations.' Blair’s foundation is 'develop[ing] a US arm that will pursue a host of faith-based projects.' Given the fact that Warren joined the advisory board of Blair’s foundation, it is safe to assume Saddleback will be part of Blair’s US interfaith arm." See Global Spirituality - Tony Blair, Global Banking, UNESCO and the EU and Can't We All Share One Religion?

Saddleback's Rick Warren to host ex-British Prime Minister Tony Blair: "'Warren told his congregation... 'We will hold the next Civil Forum and present the annual International PEACE medal. My guest will be former Prime Minister Tony Blair.' ...'We're going to...talk about spiritual emptiness, corrupt leadership, extreme poverty, pandemic diseases, and illiteracy and education. These are the five problems the PEACE Plan is designed to (address)." See Tony Blair's Interfaith Foundation

Syncretism, Ethics and Moral Facades (2006): "By putting the issues of poverty and social justice atop his agenda, Warren would like to cross religious and political fissures. 'I'm a bridge builder, not a divider,' he says....What he's aiming for...is a 'rebranding of American evangelism.'" See Rick Warren: Fundamentalism... "one of the big enemies."

Rick Warren’s New Age Health Gurus: "When Rick Warren launched his year-long Daniel Plan at a Saddleback Health and Fitness Seminar, he introduced three key doctors that would be working on this agenda with him. The fact that these three doctors are easily identifiable as New Age 'guru' type doctors is indisputable. ...each man in one way or another has connected himself with various elements of the New Age....     "Why didn’t Dr. Rick pick medical doctors who were Christians? Not nominal Christians, but sincere evangelical Christians!Surely there are highly esteemed, reputable, well-credentialed Christian physicians at the top of their field... But Rick Warren picked the Oprah Winfrey type..." See 3-Legged "Health" Care: The Agenda of Rick Warren's "Daniel Plan"

February 2011

3-Legged "Health" Care - The Agenda of Rick Warren's "Daniel Plan": "[Marilyn] Ferguson's expanded definition of the 'mind' incorporated spiritual things from the occult world. This broadened 'holistic' health model, with its 'body-mind-spirit' connection, proved to be a key entry point for new theologies, philosophies and practices. Holistic health became the the easiest vehicle with which to deceive an entire population into adopting tenets of the eastern mystical worldview....But note: meditation and its many related mind-altering activities weren't an end in themselves. According to Ferguson, they were for the purpose of changing people's worldviews: "...psychotechnologies increase the fluctuation of energy through the brain, enabling new patterns or paradigm shifts to occur, bodywork alters the flow of energy through the body, freeing it of its old 'ideas'....

"Many eastern mystical 'holistic health' ideas were simply re-written into biblical terminology and passed off to evangelicals as higher forms of spirituality. Today, meditation, contemplation, drumming, etc. are becoming commonplace. This is the face of the seeker-sensitive church. By accommodating itself to the eastern worldview, the Church fools itself into thinking it is more 'culturally relevant.'...

"Rick Warren has now plunged into a role as Change Agent for health care reform in America. It is significant that he chose some genuine New Age gurus to be his partners.... The Daniel Plan is a massive health assessment for all evangelicals gullible enough to turn in personally identifiable health data to a Rick Warren's secretive databank." A Visit to Rick Warren's Health Seminar -- The Unfolding of a Global New Age Plan: "The masses had come out in droves for answers to their weight loss difficulties & health problems, but unbeknownst to them, they were being given a prescription for restructuring society & population control. The prescription goes by the name Agenda 21, a.k.a. 'Sustainable Development' or 'Smart Growth.'

"Agenda 21 is a published document put out by the United Nations with the intent to put limits on population and to restructure nation-states into a global society. Rick Warren's 'new friends had dubbed it, The Daniel Plan - God's Prescription For Your Health....Saddleback was being told they were a 'test community' to show the world how to live 'healthy and sustainably.'" See Rick Warren’s New Health and Wellness Initiative

Rick Warren's celebrity health plan draws thousands: "The effort is part of Saddleback's Decade of Destiny – a 10-year plan to expand the ministry. The plan includes an element of personal growth meant to equip parishioners to succeed in seven areas: spiritual, physical, financial, relational, vocational, emotional, and mental. The plan includes a 52-week customized program, a curriculum for small groups, an interactive website with a meal menu, exercise and shopping tips." See Rick Warren’s New Health and Wellness Initiative

Rick Warren’s New Health and Wellness Initiative  Could Have Profound Repercussions on Many: "The three doctors who have put together a 52-week health program for Saddleback congregants are absolute advocates and proponents of not just eastern-style meditation but actual eastern meditation....Dr. Amen has teamed up with advanced certified Tantra educator, T. J. Bartel. It is important that you visit Bartel's website to better understand the nature of what he stands for. By the way, when you hear Bartel say 'Namaste,' this means the god in me bows down to the god in you....

"Dr. Amen's meditation technique of choice is Kriya Kirtan, as we stated above. This is a form of kundalini yoga.....Reiki, meditation, tantric sex - these are very powerful mystical experiences that have the capability to delude and deceive those who are involved with it." Rick Warren's Gospel -- by faith or works? "...its take more than belief. It it takes more than faith to really please God.... It takes faith that results in loving others.... What matters is how I love God and how I loves others."

Note: Neither our feelings (of love) or good works will bring us into God's Kingdom. People can choose all kinds of religions and claim membership and commitment. But to become a genuine Christian means far more than a subjective assertion of faith. It involves Spirit-given understanding of God's Gospel and conviction of sin, personal repentance, God-given faith and a transformed life. Then, out of that changed life, God's love will flow out to others. See What it means to be a Christian

July 2009

Rick Warren, Leonard Sweet, and Sweet's New Light Leaders: "'Quantum spirituality bonds us to all creation as well .... This entails a radical doctrine of embodiment of God in the very substance of creation.'....While some Leonard Sweet defenders have argued that Sweet's hybridized postmodern 'New Light' apologetic flies right over the heads of 'old light' "fundamentalist' types, the facts tell a much different story. What I learned in reading Quantum Spirituality is that Sweet is in the process of trying to transform biblical Christianity into a quantum/postmodern/New Light/New Age/New Spirituality. Without apology, Sweet writes that he is part of a 'New Light movement' and he describes those he especially admires as 'New Light leaders.'" From Gnostic Roots to Occult Revival

June 2009

Rick Warren envisions coalition of faith: "Muslims and Christians can work together for the common good without compromising my convictions or your convictions," Mr. Warren said during an evening session of the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) at the Washington Convention Center. "I am not interested in interfaith dialogue but interfaith projects," said the pastor of the 24,000-member Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., who is widely known for his bestseller "The Purpose-Driven Life." "Talk is cheap ... but love is something we do together," he added. "As the two largest faiths on this planet - more than 1 billion Muslims and 2 billion Christians - as Muslims and Christians, we must believe in this. As more than half the world, we must do something to model what it is to live in peace, to live in harmony." Warren: "Fundamentalism... one of the big enemies..."

Jumping Jihad!! Rev. Warren goes Wahhabi: "The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), an organization with ties to Hamas and other terrorist groups, will hold its annual convention—the largest yearly gathering of Muslims on the continent—in Washington, D.C. over the Fourth of July weekend. And the keynote speaker will be Reverend Rick Warren ....ISNA, purportedly the largest Muslim organization in North America, has its roots in the extremist Muslim Brotherhood.... the group responsible for the formation of al Qaeda, Hamas, and most other international terror entities.....

"At President Barack Obama’s Inauguration, Rev. Warren offered an Invocation in which he quoted the Koran and spoke of Jesus as 'Isa,' the Muslim’s name...."

This  Islamic "Isa" is not the Biblical Jesus -- our Savior and Lord! See Spirit-Led or Purpose-Driven?  Unity and Community

April 2009

Truth or Lies? Rick Warren's Moral Facade: "During a recent CNN interview on Larry King Live, Warren assured his host that he '...never once even gave an endorsement in the two years Prop. 8 was going.' But he was lying! ...His recent statements suggest a total moral U-turn....

"As America follows Europe into a moral freefall, Warren's spiritual leadership fits right in.... Yes, God will hold us accountable -- but to His standard, not to Warren's shifting standards that approve immorality and shun God's Truth....'Woe to the rebellious children,' says the Lord, 'Who take counsel, but not of Me, And who devise plans, but not of My Spirit.'...

"...we see the cross and the resurrection as the center of history. Everything the Old Testament promised pointed forward to the cross. And all the New Testament promises are based on the cross -- and points us to the resurrection and eternal life in Jesus Christ...."

March 2009

PyroMarketing Hagiography: "The idea is to market the magazine through Warren's existing pastor networks. Reader's Digest has already sent out 'pastor kits' (with copies of the new issue and DVD) to 100,000 churches that have worked with Warren in the past and contacted an additional 130,000 pastors with e-mail pitches.... What Warren and Reader's Digest have created is essentially a new marketing and distribution network for Christian small-group materials..." Unity and Community

January 2009

Rick Warren's new magazine, Purpose Driven Connection: "Rick Warren says: 'YOU WERE CREATED FOR CONNECTIONS.... Life is all about connecting. A disconnected life is merely existing'. Warren promises that the Purpose Driven Connection will give the 'power' and the tools for this connection. 'Power flows through connections.... When you're a member of the Purpose Driven Connection, we'll help you develop the four kinds of relationships you need in order to grow: mentors, models, partners, and friends."

Rick Warren's Clout: "Rick Warren represents the emerging 'new breed' of evangelical leaders''] who are working to create a Communitarian paradise on Earth, building a 'kingdom' for a nebulous 'God' utilizing state-of-the-art 'manipulations and marketing techniques." See The Emerging Global 'Church'

Moral Relativism.  Warren Affirms Obama's 'Desire to be President of Every Citizen': "Rick Warren complimented Barack Obama's invitations to himself and other clergy to pray at inaugural events.... 'President-elect Obama has again demonstrated his genuine commitment to bringing all Americans of goodwill together in search of common ground,' Warren said.... 'I applaud his desire to be the president of every citizen.'....

'"I’m all for Rick Warren being at the table,' Bishop Robinson told The New York Times, 'but... we’re talking about putting someone up front and center at what will be the most watched inauguration in history, and asking his blessing on the nation. And the God that [Warren is] praying to is not the God that I know.' ... [Robinson] doesn't yet know what he'll say, but he knows he won't use a Bible." See Moral, Spiritual & Cultural Corruption

Note: Those faithful Christians would rather face torture and death than betray their Lord and silence His message. What a contrast to the following example of compromise and ambiguity! Remember Jesus calls us to live our lives on His solid rock, not the world's shifting sand. (Matthew 7:24-27)

Purpose-Driven Accomodation. The Gospel According to Rick Warren: "As he prepares to give the invocation that will launch Barack Obama’s presidency, Pastor Rick Warren was moved, recently, to say: '…I’m not opposed to gays having their partnership. I’m opposed to gays using the term marriage for their relationship.' ... .We expect our politicians to speak with forked tongue. We would be astounded to detect a pulse-beat of integrity in one of our elected officials.... But Pastor Warren is... a leader of what the New York Times ingenuously calls 'conservative evangelical Christians.' He’s not allowed to speak with forked tongue, is he? ....

"Warren comes out with his apparent endorsement of homosexual 'partnership,' whatever that may be, as long as no one calls it marriage.... In what Bible did Pastor Warren read that the practice of sodomy is morally acceptable, as long as no one calls it marriage? ...in the real Bible, normal man-woman sex is not acceptable unless you call it marriage! Maybe Warren reasoned, 'Since homosexuality is the opposite of normal sexuality, it can be made morally valid by ensuring it occurs outside of marriage.'...

"If the American church in general is about anything, it’s about appeasement. Jesus Christ said the world would hate His disciples as it hated Him [John 15:18]; but our churches don’t want to be hated.... All the money’s in being loved.... The institutional church recoils from God’s law, preferring to seek the approval of a slothful public. We don’t want to be reminded that we’re sinners.... We want to be patted on the head and told that we’re okay: it doesn’t matter what we believe or what we do, we’re all going to Heaven....

"God assigns to churches the responsibility to proclaim His word. But Rick Warren proclaims Rick Warren’s word, the gospel of political expediency; and he has a great deal of company." See Managing Change through a New Way of Thinking

Note: God's faithful persecuted Christians in China, India, Iran and elsewhere would rather face torture and death than betray their Lord and silence His message.
