The Shameless Abortion Carnival: "Angie Jackson... was so proud she was aborting her baby that she announced she would 'tweet' her chemical-cocktail abortion live, as it happened, on Twitter. The liberal media found this made-for-TV slaughter fascinating, and not at all a controversy worthy of discussing with two sides....

     "Newsweek's Sarah Kliff proclaimed: 'One hundred thousand people have watched Angie Jackson's abortion. Late last month....' Kliff asked only 'why shame remains' about the act of killing one's baby. Jackson was honored for her courage in 'demystifying' and 'destigmatizing' the procedure: 'We need 10,000 more of her,' proclaimed Peg Johnston, chair of something called the Abortion Care Network."      "Having become pregnant without a government 'permit,' Wujian lived in hiding for months. Family planning cadres, unable to find her remote shack, beat her father almost to death. Still she refused to turn herself in. Eventually the cadres found her.

Abortion Center in Michigan Advertises Abortion Business as 'Sacred Work': "The new video with the comment is part of a series of videos highlighting their abortion services and states, 'We believe in the goodness of our work.'  The spokesperson in the ad points to a sign hanging in the abortion facility that reads, 'We do sacred work that honors women and the circle of life and death....

    "...abortion centers web site tells mothers about some ways of coping with abortion including 'releasing a symbolic object into the water, planting a tree or writing a poem. It would be a way for you to memorialize the day and move forward.'

UK Contraception and Abortion Promoters calling for Sex Ed for Four Year-Olds: "Explicit sex education ought to be compulsory for children as young as four, says a pair of abortion-promoting organisations in the UK. The Family Planning Association, the UK's answer to Planned Parenthood, and Brook... are calling for children of pre-primary age to be indoctrinated into the new sexual mores."

 

Time To Go, Grampa: "With 'controlling costs' a primary goal of Obamacare, and half of all medical costs coming in the last six months of life, 'rationed care' takes on a new meaning for us all. ...the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence, known by its Orwellian acronym NICE, intends to slash by 95 percent the number of steroid injections, such as cortisone, given to people who suffer severe and chronic back pain."

Baptist, Brethren, Lutheran, Methodist Churches Ask Senate for Abortion Funds: "A coalition of mainline Protestant churches have authored a letter to members of Congress asking them to make certain the health care bills they are considering contain taxpayer funding for abortions. ...more than 1,100 pastors and church staff from the denominations endorsed the letter. Sunstein: Fetuses 'use' women, abortion limits 'troublesome': "A restriction on access to abortion turns women's reproductive capacities into something to be used by fetuses.... 'Legal and social control of women's sexual and reproductive capacities has been a principal historical source of sexual inequality,' Sunstein wrote in his 1993 book "The Partial Constitution." ...in a 2003 book review, Sunstein argued there is no moral concern regarding cloning human beings since human embryos, which develop into a baby, are 'only a handful of cells.'" North Dakota House Gives Fertilized Eggs Human Status: "A measure approved by the North Dakota House gives a fertilized human egg the legal rights of a human being, a step that would essentially ban abortion in the state.... The bill declares that 'any organism with the genome of homo sapiens' is a person protected by rights granted by the North Dakota Constitution and state laws. ... 'This language is not as aggressive as the direct [abortion] ban legislation that I've proposed in the past,' Ruby said.... 'This is very simply defining when life begins, and giving that life some protections under our Constitution — the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.'"

Obama makes lawyer for Terri Schiavo's husband third-ranking Justice Official: "Thomas Perrelli, who won an award for representing Schiavo's former husband, had served on Obama's transition team.... During his debate with Hillary Clinton in the Democratic presidential primary, Obama said his biggest mistake was voting with a unanimous Senate to help save Terri.... 'And as a constitutional law professor, I knew better,' he added.

      "During an April 2007 debate, Obama said, '...There was a debate about Terri Schiavo, and a lot of us, including me, left the Senate with a bill that allowed Congress to intrude where it shouldn't have.' 'And I think I should have stayed in the Senate and fought more for making sure [Terri's parents couldn't take their case to federal court to save her life].'"
