Barack Obama’s (D-Ill.) statement on the Senate floor that 'every penny' of potential profit derived from the government’s purchase and resale of troubled mortgage-backed securities 'will go directly back to the American people,' the law says the money will go to pay off federal debt – some of which is held by foreign entities."

$920 Billion more to bail out the world: "...sponsored by Senator Barack Obama. One is the Jubilee Act, which would cancel as much as $75 billion worth of Third World debt, and the Global Poverty Act, which would cost an estimated $845 billion." [Both bills have passed the House]

Obama's $845 billion U.N. plan forwarded to U.S. Senate floor 'Global Poverty Act' to cost each citizen $2,500 or more: "The U.S. Senate soon could debate whether you, your spouse and each of your children – as well as your in-laws, parents, grandparents, neighbors and everyone else in America – each will spend $2,500 or more to reduce poverty around the world. The plan sponsored by Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, is estimated to cost the U.S. some $845 billion over the coming few years in an effort to raise the standard of living around the globe." Sarah Palin Mythology Debunked: "Myth: As governor of Alaska, Palin put the governor’s plane up for sale on eBay but did not really sell it. Fact: After she did not find a buyer on eBay, she sold the plane eight months later through a broker for $2.2 million. Myth: Palin did not really stop the “Bridge to Nowhere.” Fact: During her gubernatorial race in 2006, she endorsed the bridge but as governor rejected it, allocating the federal earmark money elsewhere. Meanwhile, in 2005, Barack Obama voted against a Senate amendment to stop funding for the project. Myth: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin banned nearly 100 books, including “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer,” “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” and “Death of a Salesman.” Fact: Palin never banned any books. An emailed list of books she supposedly banned included Harry Potter books that had not yet been published when she was in office."

Joe Biden's history lesson off by 4 years and 1 president but otherwise pretty accurate: "...in an interview with 'CBS Evening News,' Biden misspoke when he told anchor Katie Couric that today's leaders should take a lesson from the history books.... Declared Biden: 'When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'

    "What's wrong with that, some might ask? Well, for starters Republican Herbert Hoover was president when the stock market crashed in October 1929. Second, Roosevelt didn't take office until four years later. And, not to be picky, but there were also no televisions in use at the time. Radio was Roosevelt's favored medium."

Obama Pressured Iraq to Delay Troop Withdrawals: "Despite his insistent demands for a rapid withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama secretly urged Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement that would lead to a draw down in troop numbers. ... 'He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the U.S. elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,' Zebari said..."

NYT.com Removes Article Mentioning Obama's Muslim Roots: "...Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as 'one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.' Moreover, Mr. Obama's own grandfather in Kenya was a Muslim. Mr. Obama never met his grandfather and says he isn't sure if his grandfather's two wives were simultaneous or consecutive, or even if he was Sunni or Shiite." (NYT, 3-6-07)

Obama is a Muslim and should be proud of it, Ghadafi says: “There is a candidate in the American presidential election who is Black, Muslim and of African origin, his name is Obama. All people in Africa and the Arabic and Islamic world were having hopes on him. They cheered him, prayed for his success, and perhaps made legitimate donations to help him get elected. But we were all surprised to hear him making statements that chocked all of his supporters in the Arabic, Islamic, and African world. ... Obama should be proud of his African and Islamic identities, and should work to change America from evil to good.”

Obama slips on TV: 'My Muslim faith': "Slip of the tongue or momentary confusion? In a television interview today discussing his religion, Sen. Barack Obama stated, 'My Muslim faith.' Obama, speaking to ABC's George Stephanopoulos on 'This Week,' was talking about what he described as 'smears' that were claiming he was a Muslim when he maintains he is a practicing Christian.

     "'Let's not play games,' Obama stated. 'What I was suggesting – you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you're absolutely right that that has not come.' Stephanopoulos immediately interrupted Obama, stating, 'Christian faith.'

     "'My Christian faith,' Obama quickly said. 'Well, what I'm saying is that he (McCain) hasn't suggested that I'm a Muslim...."

Obama’s Secret Strategy: "I have heard stories about massive voter registration drives and preparations to get out the vote with the help of unions, teachers, and other Obama fans. Chief among these groups is ACORN, or Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a radical group that has been caught engaging in voter fraud. Not surprisingly, Obama has close ties to the group since his days as a 'community organizer' in Chicago.

     "The New York Times noted that Obama had been a key ally of ACORN. His influence at charitable foundations 'allowed him to help direct tens of millions of dollars in grants.' The paper also noted the key role ACORN played in helping him win his first state Senate race in Illinois."

 

Obama Foreshadows the Coming Spirituality: "Barack Obama... says that the teachings of the UCC (United Church of Christ), of which he is a member (Trinity United Church of Christ), are 'foundation stones for his political work.' Just what are those 'teachings' comprised of? Libyan ruler Mu‘ammar al-Qaddafi referred to Obama as 'a Muslim' and a person with an 'African and Islamic identity.'... Obama's training program described as 'Big Brother': "The tax-funded Chicago organization cited as a probable model for programs to integrate youth into the social and political world under an Obama tenure in the White House is the epitome of 'Big Brother' that shovels impressionable youth through a course of brainwashing....  Obama plans to use the non-profit, which is funded partly by the federal government and is featured on Obama's campaign website, as the model for a national service corps, called the 'Universal Voluntary Public Service.'...

      "Obama asserted... that the U.S. needs a 'civilian national security force' that would be as powerful, strong and well-funded as the half-trillion dollar Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force....  .

      "'Remember, Obama has followed Saul Alinsky's ultimate advice,' Corsi explained. '...Alinsky told his radicals to cut their hair, buy business suits and run for public office,' he said. 'Ayers and Obama are both aimed at producing radical socialist change from within – working today to radicalize our institutions, instead of bombing them."

Obama’s ‘Civilian Security Force’ Prompts Questions: "Just five days later, the July 7 issue of Defense News published an interview in which Obama elaborated on his goals. “I believe we can reconfigure our civilian national-security force. We still have a national security apparatus on the civilian side, in the way the State Department is structured and USAID, that harkens back to the Cold War,” Obama said. “We need to be able to deploy teams that combine agricultural specialists and engineers and linguists and cultural specialists who are prepared to go into some of the most dangerous areas alongside our military,” he said. ....“He clearly leans toward the diplomacy side in world affairs,” Darling told CNSNews.com. “Foreign aid, agriculture aid, using federal tax dollars to buy a country’s affections is one element of diplomacy. But I hope he realizes that having a strong military is another form of diplomacy.” .....“It’s more about building the civic virtue of the people volunteering. It benefits the doers more than the receivers,” Tanner told CNSNews.com. “It assumes the state has a claim on you and becomes political. Maryland’s service requirement for students recognizes organizing homeless people to vote as a plus, but not joining the NRA (National Rifle Association)." (CNS, 8-7-08)

 

Obama: Healthcare for Illegals: "Democrats' single most important domestic proposal — universal health insurance — may blow up in Barack Obama's face when voters are exposed to the deadly details. Obama has said, proudly and often, 'I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage.' [Would they precede all the Americans who can't afford insurance?]

Obama's worldview: "'After centuries of strife, the people of Europe have formed a Union of promise and prosperity.' That last sentence would suggest Mr. Obama is not terribly keen about nation states. It suggests that he believes that nation states have outgrown their practical and moral utility. That is why, presumably, he says that we must tear down the walls between the countries 'with the most' - that would be the United States - and those with the least.... That is why he is a sponsor of Senate Bill 2433, the Global Poverty Act, legislation that Mr. Obama's own Web site proudly claims would 'cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015.'"

Obama Supports Global Tax From United Nations: "...his trip highlights a dangerous threat to America’s national sovereignty in the form of his globalist policies that will diminish America’s role in the world and outsource decisions of vital national interest to the United Nations.

     "His Global Poverty Act, currently under consideration in Congress, is just one such policy. Despite its seemingly innocuous title, the Global Poverty Act would force America to adopt the U.N.’s 'Millennium Development Goals' as official U.S. policy. This means outsourcing to the United Nations all important decisions concerning the use of U.S. foreign aid dollars. Not only that, but the fee for allowing the U.N. to play the 'middle man' in our global war on poverty would be a tax of .7 percent of the U.S. Gross National Product. ...Obama and his liberal allies such as Senator Biden have signed on to a bill that would allow the U.N. to tax America (and Americans) an estimated $845 billion over the next 13 years. Obama’s plan represents perhaps the greatest affront to our national sovereignty since the War of 1812. ....

     "The Global Poverty Act dismisses the American ideals of a free-market economy and responsible government for a global bureaucracy that has already lost tens of millions in development funds to corruption. ... Handing over the job to an organization renowned for its incompetence is a recipe for disaster."

Obama’s Trip: No Bounce, No Flags, No Wounded Soldiers: "As crowds cheered Obama globally, Americans here on the homefront were left wondering if the Illinois senator wants to be their president -- or the president of some other country.... Obama's speech to the Germans left much to be desired, from an American’s perspective. For starters, the crowd’s size was beefed up by the fact that the event was billed as a free rock concert...."

Baghdad, Berlin, Barack: "The Obama campaign now makes much of the fact that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki seems to have endorsed the idea of a timetable for withdrawal.... This is being played as a great political coup for Mr. Obama -- which, we suppose, it is, if only because the media plays it that way. But the significant debate is not over whether and when the U.S. will withdraw. It's over whether the U.S. will win.

    "In his Berlin speech, Mr. Obama was at his most forceful when he insisted that 'this is the moment when we must defeat terror,' adding that 'the threat is real and we cannot shrink from our responsibility to combat it.' This... squares oddly with a political campaign whose central premise is that losing in Iraq -- and whatever calamities may follow -- is a matter of little consequence to U.S. or European interests. It squares oddly, too, with Mr. Obama's broader promise to 'stand for the human rights of the dissident in Burma, the blogger in Iran, the voter in Zimbabwe' and virtually every other global cause."

Obama Berlin speech: 'A WORLD THAT STANDS AS ONE': "People of the world -- look at Berlin! Look at Berlin, where Germans and Americans learned to work together and trust each other less than three years after facing each other on the field of battle.... The fall of the Berlin Wall brought new hope. But that very closeness has given rise to new dangers -- dangers that cannot be contained within the borders of a country or by the distance of an ocean. ...

     "As we speak, cars in Boston and factories in Beijing are melting the ice caps in the Arctic, shrinking coastlines in the Atlantic, and bringing drought to farms from Kansas to Kenya. Poorly secured nuclear material in the former Soviet Union, or secrets from a scientist in Pakistan could help build a bomb that detonates in Paris. The poppies in Afghanistan become the heroin in Berlin. The poverty and violence in Somalia breeds the terror of tomorrow. ... That is why we cannot afford to be divided. No one nation, no matter how large or powerful, can defeat such challenges alone. None of us can deny these threats, or escape responsibility in meeting them.... Top Biden Staffer on Obama Trip to Afghanistan and Iraq: "The chief of staff to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Tony Blinken, is accompanying Barack Obama on his high-profile trip to Afghanistan and Iraq. Blinken is chairman Joe Biden’s right-hand man on the Foreign Relations Committee and considered his closest adviser. Biden, a Delaware Democrat, has often been mentioned as a possible running mate with Obama and the presence of his top committee staffer and long-time friend and adviser is sure to further speculation about an emerging Obama-Biden relationship.... Obama's choice of site for speech splits Germans: "The decision by Senator Barack Obama to speak at a landmark monument in Berlin this Thursday has opened up yet another controversy, with conservative and opposition politicians saying the site recalls Germany's Nazi past and Prussia's militaristic tradition.' ...Andreas Schockenhoff, deputy leader of the conservative bloc in Parliament, said Sunday that the choice of the Victory Column, also known as the Golden Angel, was an 'unhappy symbol' since it represented so much of Germany's militaristic past." Obama issues new call for national service: "Obama promised on Wednesday to create new opportunities for national service... "[T]his will will be a central cause of my presidency,' he said. 'We will ask Americans to serve.... And we will direct that service to our most pressing national challenges.' ...Obama... would expand AmeriCorps, the domestic service agency, and double the size of the Peace Corps. ... He also would offer more service opportunities to retirees and set goals for middle- and high-school students to serve 50 hours a year of public service, and for college students to serve 100 hours a year." Obama's 'Big Brother' vanishes from speech: "Obama's stunning assertion in a recent speech that the U.S. needs a 'civilian national security force' that would be as powerful, strong and well-funded as the half-trillion dollar Army, Marines, Navy and Air Force is not included in published transcripts of his prepared remarks. In the July 2 speech in Colorado Springs, Obama insisted the U.S. 'cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set.' ... According to the transcript, Obama was to have said: 'We'll send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We'll call on Americans to join an Energy Corps to conduct renewable energy and environmental cleanup projects in their neighborhoods. We'll enlist veterans to help other vets find jobs and support, and to be there for our military families. Obama Wants to Expand Role of Religious Groups: "With an eye toward courting evangelical voters, Senator Barack Obama arrived here on Tuesday to present a plan to expand on President Bush’s program of investing federal money in religious-based initiatives that are intended to fight poverty and perform community aid work....'Now, I know there are some who bristle at the notion that faith has a place in the public square,' Mr. Obama intends to say. 'But the fact is, leaders in both parties have recognized the value of a partnership between the White House and faith-based groups.'... Obama: Sermon on Mount OKs Same-Sex Unions: "'I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state,' said Obama. 'If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans.'... 'Again, I respect people who may disagree, but I certainly don't think it makes me less Christian.'...

    "Obama said in the letter. ... 'In terms of my faith, there has been so much confusion that has been deliberately perpetrated through emails and so forth, so here are the simple facts,' he said. Communist Party Backs Obama: "The latest to emerge publicly in Obama’s camp is Joelle Fishman, the chairman of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) Political Action Commission. In a column titled, 'Big political shifts are underway,' Fishman says that Obama could lead 'a landslide defeat of the Republican ultra-right' this November and that he is 'ready to listen' to the 'left and progressive voters' backing him." Is Obama devotee of monkey-god idol? "A group of Hindus in India have presented Sen. Barack Obama's campaign with a two-foot Hindu monkey-god idol after hearing the candidate carries a smaller version of the Lord Hanuman good-luck charm with him as he vies for the presidency.... 

      "'Obama has deep faith in Lord Hanuman, and that is why we are presenting an idol of Hanuman to him,' said Bhama....The idol will be kept at the temple for 11 days and then sent to the U.S. It will reach Obama by Aug. 24 – a day before the Democratic National Convention opens in Denver." The group decided to order the idol after they read a magazine report saying that Mr Obama carried a good luck 'monkey king' charm....

      "Hindus revere monkeys which they believe are descendents of the monkey God Hanuman. The two-foot tall, 15kg gold-polished, brass idol has been made as a present for Mr Obama because 'he will be good for India...' according to Brij Mohan Bhama. Not even 'bumblebee' flying for Hillary's Bosnia arrival: "Clinton's trip to Bosnia has become an election issue because of her repeated references to the sniper danger that was there the day she landed. She has used the trip as a reference point when she describes her foreign policy experience. I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base, the then-first lady said in a recent speech....The senator had described approaching the landing using an 'evasive maneuver.' 'No evasive maneuver,' Changose [the pilot] said."

Obama: Sermon on Mount OKs Same-Sex Unions: "'I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state,' said Obama. 'If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans.'... 'Again, I respect people who may disagree, but I certainly don't think it makes me less Christian.'...

    "Obama said in the letter. ... 'In terms of my faith, there has been so much confusion that has been deliberately perpetrated through emails and so forth, so here are the simple facts,' he said. Che flag sends 'disturbing' message about Obama: "Candidate attracts 'people who think mass murderers are romantic revolutionaries'....Under the heading 'Barack Guevara,' Investor's Business Daily raised some of the more pointed questions, to which the [Obama] campaign responded only with a statement: 'The office featured in this video is funded by volunteers of the Barack Obama Campaign and is not an official headquarters for his campaign.'...

     "'How is it a front-runner for the highest office in the land can reject an American flag on his lapel but permit the display of a huge Cuban flag at one of his offices, emblazoned with a mass murderer's mug?...

Obama 08 - Faith: “I’m asking you to believe. Not just in my ability to bring about change in Washington…I’m asking you to believe in yours.” Barack Obama ...

      "Senator Obama also laid down principles for how to discuss faith in a pluralistic society, including the need for religious people to translate their concerns into universal, rather than religion-specific, values during public debate."

      In other words, use spiritual words that imply pluralism or universalism. Talk about hope and "faith in God," not about Jesus, sin or the cross.  See Heresy in high places

 

Obama's Ties to Left Come Under Scrutiny: "Mr. Ayers wrote a memoir, "Fugitive Days," published in 2001, and on the day of the September 11 terrorist attacks, he was quoted by the New York Times as saying: "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." He and Mr. Obama served together on the nine-member board of the Woods Fund, a Chicago nonprofit, for three years beginning in 1999, and they have also appeared jointly on two academic panels, one in 1997 and another in 2001. Mr. Ayers, who was never convicted in the Weather Underground bombings, is now a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He maintains the religious outreach website and directs 'faith forums,' which are church-hosted discussions about the role of faith in politics.... 'Our democracy demands that when people are religiously motivated,' DuBois said, 'you have to translate your [policy] concerns into universal rather than religion-specific values. We're no longer just a Christian nation; we're also a Jewish nation, a Hindu nation, a Muslim nation, and a nation that does not adhere to a particular religion.' ...

       "'This year, you've got the three leading candidates who are very comfortable talking about their faith, they enjoy opportunities to talk about their faith, and they all three have profound faith,' said Burns Strider, a self-described evangelical who is Clinton's senior adviser and director of faith-based outreach." Communism & Community Activism. Rules for radicals: "His name was Saul Alinsky, the mentor of Hillary Rodham Clinton, and the concierge emeritus of modern liberalism.... Alinsky was also the subject of the previously suppressed 1969 Wellesley Thesis by one Hillary Rodham....[In it, she wrote that Alinsky] provides the organizer with a tactical style for community organization that assumes an adversarial relationship between groups of people in which one either dominates or is dominated. ... Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.' ... Tactics for change. Hillary, Obama and the Cult of Alinsky: "True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within. Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties....

      "One Alinsky benefactor was Wall Street investment banker Eugene Meyer, who served as Chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1930 to 1933. Meyer and his wife Agnes co-owned The Washington Post. They used their newspaper to promote Alinsky....Her series, called 'The Orderly Revolution', made Alinsky famous....

      "Alinsky’s crowning achievement was his recruitment of a young high school student named Hillary Rodham. She met Alinsky through a radical church group. Hillary wrote an analysis of Alinsky’s methods for her senior thesis at Wellesley College. ...

      "Many leftists view Hillary as a sell-out because she claims to hold moderate views on some issues. However, Hillary is simply following Alinsky’s counsel to do and say whatever it takes to gain power.

       "Barack Obama is also an Alinskyite.... Obama spent years teaching workshops on the Alinsky method. In 1985 he began a four-year stint as a community organizer in Chicago, working for an Alinskyite group called the Developing Communities Project.... Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style organizing. While trying to build coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama caught flak for not attending church himself. He became an instant churchgoer." Two troubling video warnings:

1. Vote machine flaws force scramble back to paper: "With the presidential race in full swing, some U.S. states have found critical flaws in the accuracy and security of their electronic voting machines, forcing officials to scramble to return to the paper ballots they abandoned after the 2000 Florida debacle."

 

2. Princeton scientists Hack Diebold Voting Machine Demo. The next story illustrates the warnings, though the actual problem is slightly different:

Diebold Machine Rejects Ron Paul Votes In Michigan: "I was the first voter, I circled in Ron Paul and put my ballot into the machine. Spit it right back out and said INVALID BALLOT. Second guy gives it a shot. INVALID BALLOT. I begin arguing with the lady running the precinct about computer voting and people voting. This lady actually says in a room full of people that Computers are better at counting ballots than people, cause people make mistakes. Who makes computers?... She says the manufacturer says there is a problem with a memory card. Someone from the manufacturer will be there with a new memory card soon."

Media Bias.  For Obama, 'Unity' Is Called 'Liberalism': "Sen. Barack Obama's repeated and eloquent claims to being able to unite Americans are a major reason for his present, and very possibly eventual, success.... The wish that all people be united is an elemental human desire. But there are two major problems with it. First, it is not truly honest. ...  If those who call for unity told the whole truth, this is what they would say: 'I want everyone to unite -- behind my values. I want everyone who disagrees with me to change the way they think so that we can all be united. I myself have no plans to change my positions on any important issues in order to achieve this unity. So in order to achieve it, I assume that all of you who differ with me will change your views and values and embrace mine.'...

    "It is fascinating how little introspection Sen. Obama's 'unity' supporters engage in -- they are usually the very people who most forcefully advocate multiculturalism... and who oppose something as basic to American unity as declaring English the country's national language.... Given what Sen. Obama's calls for unity really mean -- let's all go left -- it is no wonder he and his calls for unity are enthusiastically embraced by the liberal media." See Mainstream Media

 

Obama's church: The Black Value System: "These Black Ethics must be taught and exemplified in homes, churches, nurseries and schools, wherever Blacks are gathered. ... 1. Commitment to God....[Who] will give us the strength to give up prayerful passivism and become Black Christian Activists.... 2. Commitment to the Black Community. ... 4. Dedication to the Pursuit of Education.... 7. Commitment to Self-Discipline and Self-Respect....Self-discipline, coupled with a respect for self, will enable each of us to be an instrument of Black Progress and a model for Black Youth. 8. Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness.” Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must be able to identify the 'talented tenth' of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control.... 11. Pledge Allegiance to All Black Leadership Who Espouse and Embrace the Black Value System. 12.
