Constitutional Amendment Proposed in China: "Chinese legislators on Monday introduced a proposed constitutional amendment to guarantee private property rights -- the first such protection of the communist era."

China is simply following the rest of the world toward the new global governance: It's not traditional communism, nor capitalism. It's "the Third Way" (or communitarianism) touted by Clinton and Blair and promoted by President Bush (though he wisely doesn't name it). It means you may "own" property or a business, but the government taxes and controls it. A Third Way to a Good Society

Global Cops (Scroll down to title): "Coming together across party lines, Representatives James McGovern (D-MA) and Amo Houghton (R-NY) introduced the International Rule of Law and Antiterrorism Act of 2003 (H.R. 1414) on March 25th to provide a timely solution to keeping the peace, after the peace has been won. The bill calls for the establishment of a rapidly deployable U.N. Civilian Police Corps (UNCPC) that would re-establish the rule of law in failed states and post-conflict situations." See Rapid Reaction Against UN Foes

A Net of Control: "Picture, if you will, an information infrastructure that encourages censorship, surveillance and suppression of the creative impulse.... Some prognosticators are saying that such a construct is nearly inevitable. And this infrastructure is none other than the former paradise of rebels and free-speechers: the Internet...

“'The social, economic and legal priorities are going to force the Internet toward security,' says Stratton Sclavos, CEO of VeriSign, a company built to provide digital certificates (it also owns Network Solutions, the exclusive handler of the 'dot-com' part of the Internet domain-name system).... Governments will be able to tax e-commerce—and dictators can keep track of who’s saying what....

"...restrictive copyright and Homeland Security laws give a legal rationale to 'total control....  it will be sold to the people as a great way to stop thieves, pirates, malicious hackers, spammers and child pornographers."  Washington's Farewell Address and Deut 28:15

(African regionalism). South Africa: Mbeki shooting from the hip to save Mugabe: "President Mbeki not only supports Mugabe (Zimbabwe), but looks up to him, thinks he's a hero, aims to emulate him and will do anything to defend him...."

(American regionalism). Social Security for Mexicans closer to reality: "U.S. and Mexican officials are discussing a 'totalization' agreement that would transfer hundreds of millions of dollars in payments south of the border. ... the agreement 'is expected to move forward at an accelerated pace.' ... Supporters say the proposal would improve the daily lives of Mexican citizens, many of whom are still trapped in poverty a decade after the North American Free Trade Agreement promised prosperity to the nation's 103.4 million people."  Merging the Americas in a New Global Order and the next link:

Lingerie crops up in Colombia: "First they grew coffee. When prices for the bean collapsed, many turned to growing illegal drug crops. And now, hundreds of rural Colombians, hoping for a better living, are trying their hand at making racy lingerie for a French retail chain under a new U.N.-backed program."

Materialism, marketing and sensuality reign in a world that ignores God and treats people as human resources for a global economy. See Reinventing the World

Immigration won't save Social Security: "What the Open Borders really cares about is immigration pure and simple -- to bring in cheap labor, drive down the wages of American workers, and import a new electorate that can be manipulated into supporting its candidates." Merging the Americas in a New Global Order

World Socialists call for World Government: "This document makes public the close union between the agenda of International Socialists and the agenda for global governance developed by the United Nations. Previous efforts to keep the "socialist" label away from the U.N., have now been abandoned, and both institutions are publicly seeking total global governance through the United Nations....

"The President of Socialist International, Antonio Guterres, former Socialist Prime Minister of Portugal, said the 'Bush administration was impeding efforts to establish a new world order.'.. The Socialists want the U.N. to place 'greater emphasis on the provision of global public services, especially with regard to sanitation, health care, child care.... The 'social change' described here is the global governance agenda developed jointly, and now publicly advanced by both the United Nations, and the Socialist International." They share Gorbachev's vision: The State of The World According to Gorbachev. See also Charts: Paradigm Shift and Reinventing the World.

With the Socialist International Towards a Democratic World Society: "The international challenge is nothing less than the beginning of a new, democratic world society.... Strengthening the United Nations is an important step in the creation of this new, democratic world society.... The UN specialised agencies, like the WHO...  have demonstrated that the governments and citizens of various nations can work effectively together in pursuit of common international goals."

U.S. to finance Muslim schools: "While the United States government spends billions fighting Islamic terrorism worldwide, it has offered Indonesia $157 million dollars for use by state-owned and Muslim schools.... 'The success of Indonesia as a pluralistic and democratic state is essential to the peace and prosperity of this region,' said Bush. 'Terrorists who claim Islam as their inspiration defile one of the world's great faiths....'The United States strongly supports a healthy democracy in Indonesia, for the sake of your own people and for the sake of peace." Four Faces of Islam

US to shift Iraq exit policy: "Washington accepts that US forces should be under international control.... Javier Solana suggests that US decisions along these lines will be made in the 'coming days'. His comments are set to herald a shift in Washington’s previous hard line stance on Iraq, come before a UK state visit from US President George W Bush on Tuesday, where he is expected to discuss an Iraq exit strategy with UK premier Tony Blair." Rapid Reaction against UN Foes

Europe unveils agency to protect its borders: "Plans were unveiled yesterday for a pan-European border agency to help to seal the European Union's new frontier after expansion next year."

Plan for UN to run internet 'will be shelved': "An attempt by developing countries to put management of the internet under United Nations auspices is likely to be shelved at next month's world information summit in Geneva - but the issue is now firmly on the international agenda, summit sources say....  UN officials say they see no compromise emerging. They expect governments to decide instead to continue talks on internet governance with the aim of reaching accord by 2005.... Defenders of the status quo say handing over power to governments could threaten the untrammelled flow of information and ideas...."

Year 2005 is also the deadline for merging the nations of the Americas into a unified economic region -- part of another UN plan for global governance. See The Merging of the Americas in a New Global Order

Australia told it has too many whites to be part of Asia: "Goh Chok Tong, Singapore's prime minister, took the first shot when he told a high-powered business leaders' meeting that Australia would be regarded as Asian only when the population 'tips over 50 per cent non-whites and the rest whites.'" See Reinventing the World

Germany Announces Zero Growth, Worst-Ever Deficit: "The government's guardians of the ailing German economy on Thursday conceded that the country is experiencing zero growth and will rack up close to €43.4 billion in debt this year."

Asian nations to form economic community: "Ten Southeast Asian nations signed an ambitious accord Tuesday establishing a Europe-like economic community by 2020.... But the Association of Southeast Asian Nations emphasized that the agreement, part of a blueprint dubbed Bali Concord II, was limited to economic relations."

That's how the European Union and the new "Americas" began as well. But both have moved far beyond just "economic relations." To see how the Asian union fits into the overall UN management system read Re-zoning the World: Merging the Americas in a New Global Order

Coordinating Commttee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS): "...the Youth Forum, organised by UNESCO... endorsed the Strategy for UNESCO’s Action with and for Youth.... Among these recommendations, two concern international voluntary service:

[1] "In the field of... education: UNESCO should promote international voluntary service....

[2] "In the field of... culture: ...the Organisation promotes youth cultural exchanges, notably via UNESCO Associated Schools and Youth NGOs."

See UNESCO's founding beliefs and values: UNESCO: Its purpose and Its Philosophy and the first 3 links here. They all fit together.

Restructuring the UN: "It was unprecedented freedom, exercised by individuals, that created the United States.... To voluntarily yield this power to the U.N., as France, Germany, Russia, and other nations want, would condemn the entire world to a system of governance in which individual freedom would be the measured reward for compliance with government’s dictates."

Yet, globalist leaders in the US and UK have, from the beginning -- been driving the march toward the new world order.... See Chronology of the UN and Steps toward Global Mind Control

Laura Bush Ushers U.S. Back Into UNESCO: "Laura Bush ushered the United States back into the U.N.'s main cultural agency Monday.... The former teacher and librarian, who now is UNESCO's honorary ambassador for the U.N. Decade of Literacy, said educating 'all the world's sons and daughters' is the world's most urgent priority.....'I actually was very moved at the end, when I worked the rope line and everybody said, `Welcome back,' she said." When preaching the Bible is outlawed, I'll be an outlaw: "Now, if America were the independent country it was designed to be, laws passed in Canada, or any other foreign country, would not be cause for alarm in the United States. Unfortunately, however, the U.S. is more and more being led into a 'global village' with even the Supreme Court using the laws of foreign nations as precedents for U.S. law."

Actually, American and UK globalists have been leading the way for over a century. Read the Chronology of the UN and Steps toward Global Mind Control

Arrogance on the East River: Kofi Annan told the UN General Assembly (9-23-03), "Three years ago, when you came here for the Millennium Summit, we had a shared vision of global solidarity and collective security, expressed in the Millennium Declaration. 'But recent events have called that consensus in question..."

"This so-called Millennium Declaration is another one of those U.N. dreams of global governance that is almost a word-for-word twin of the Earth Charter the U.N. acolytes carry around in the Ark of Hope, their replacement of the Ark of the Covenant that contained the Ten Commandments.... See The Earth Charter's Unholy Ark

Vatican Is Open to Becoming a Full Member of UN: "According to international law, in theory, there are no impediments for the Holy See to become eventually a full member of the United Nations organizations,' Cardinal Angelo Sodano said in an address Friday. 'Nor would this be a novelty for the Holy See, if one keeps in mind the role it plays in some specialized agencies that belong to the United Nations system.'" United Nations'Millennium Goal

There is money in food: "Today, meat is not only shipped hundreds of miles across the nation but thousands of miles around the globe. The little hometown butchers have been put out of business by the multinational corporations who dominate the food industry....

"The nation's meat processing industry is now dominated by four companies; Tyson Foods, Excel (which is owned by Cargill), Swift and Smithfield. ...Smithfield also has facilities in Canada, France, Poland, the UK, Brazil, Mexico and China. Smithfield has a worldwide workforce of over 40,000 people. It's no wonder that the independent hog farmer is out of business...

"How can a system such as this exist in a nation with a Justice Department capable of enforcing anti-trust laws...? See Food Summit Speeds U.N Agenda

So where are all the jobs? "This is not just a jobless recovery; it is a job-loss recovery! Twenty-one months after the end of the 2001 recession, we are still shedding jobs. Ninety-three thousand more people were out of work in August. That's the seventh straight drop and the largest since March. Private-sector employment is now about 3.3 million jobs below the pre-recession peak....

"What this adds up to is the longest and most worrying decline in employment since World War II... In other words, more jobs are being permanently cut--or moved overseas."

The math is simple: export jobs to China and India + open our borders to the world's unemployed + restrict land use = economic disaster and government control. See Food Summit Speeds U.N Agenda

Bush to Seek $60 Billion or More for Iraq: "The White House has informed congressional leaders that it is preparing a new budget request for between $60 billion and $70 billion to help cover the mounting costs of the reconstruction and military occupation of Iraq."

The US also funds education technology in South and Central America, AIDS treatment in Africa, development of energy grids in China, the medical needs of the masses of illegal immigrants, the reconstruction of Afghanistan and countless other global projects. Meanwhile our economy erodes, our jobs are "outsourced" and our debt soars. But God still reigns! Let's pray He use the rising crisis to draw many to Himself and demonstrate His sufficiency to those who trust Him.  Seeing the world from His perspective

Banks move analyst jobs to India: "Wall Street seeks to save costs on number-crunching tasks...." See Reinventing the World

Erosion of U.S. Industrial Base Is Troubling: "The U.S. industrial base is eroding, and this situation has enormous national security implications.... The United States is becoming dependent on countries such as China, India, Russia, France and Germany for critical weapons technology. It’s conceivable that one of these governments could tell its local suppliers not to sell critical components to the United States because they do not agree with U.S. foreign policy." The WTO and the Culture of Control

Visa program robs U.S. technology workers of jobs, dignity: "Scott Kirwin clung to his computer programming job, but it was tough for him to relish his final assignment: training a group of workers from India who would replace him within a year. 'They called it 'knowledge acquisition.... We got paid our normal salaries to train people to do our jobs. The market was so bad we couldn't really do anything about it, so we taught our replacements.'" Deuteronomy 28:15 and Psalm 62:5-8Sovereignty or the UN: "Is the United States of America a sovereign nation or should we just forget the Constitution and pander to the whims of the United Nations?"

The suggested solution ("divorce us from the UN") isn't realistic. The UN was created by Western nations, mainly the U.S. It's tentacles are too intertwined with all levels of US government and civil society to be so easily discarded. See The U.N. Plan for Your Community and The UN Plan for Your Mental Health . The latter will soon be updated with new information based on President Bush' continuation of Clinton's program.

Hatch pushes tuition help for kids of illegal immigrants: "The Utah Legislature in 2002 granted in-state tuition to children of undocumented immigrants who spent at least three years in the state's high school system, but the law was contingent upon repeal of the federal prohibition."

July

Give kids a say, Unicef urges: "Young people around the world should be given more of a say in decisions that affect their lives, according to a new report by the UN children's agency Unicef. Taking children's views into account could lead to fresh and innovative ideas for fighting the spread of HIV, improving education and even diminishing the threat of future acts of terror...."

Yes, UN leaders are happy to teach children their perspectives through today's global education, then use their voices as tools of change. See The State of the World according to Gorbachev

Jerusalem touted as world's capital: "Shimon Peres, a former Israeli prime minister, is proposing Jerusalem be declared the capital of the world.... The 'world capital' idea appeared to be largely symbolic.... Peres proposed that the U.N. secretary-general [Kofi Annan] be declared mayor, in which capacity he would appoint Jewish and Arab deputy mayors to administer the two sides' intertwined neighborhoods." Jerusalem

Neo – CONNED! (by Congressman Ron Paul): "Neo-conservatism has been around for decades and, strangely, has connections to past generations as far back as Machiavelli. Modern-day neo-conservatism was introduced to us in the 1960s. It entails both a detailed strategy as well as a philosophy of government.

"The ideas of Teddy Roosevelt, and certainly Woodrow Wilson, were quite similar to many of the views of present-day neocons. Neocon spokesman Max Boot brags that what he advocates is 'hard Wilsonianism.'... More important than the names of people affiliated with neo-conservatism are the views they adhere to." See Homeland Security and the Transformation of America

Maurice Strong profits from pushing leftist ideas: "'Economic growth is not the cure; it is the disease.' That is Maurice Strong's take on what is wrong with the world.... Everything that is wrong can, in Strong's mind, be traced to three sources -- industrialization, wealth and free markets. I'd add a fourth -- Christianity -- except Strong never quite comes out and blames it for the world's ills. He merely hints at it with statements such as 'We are all gods now, gods in charge of our own destiny.'...

"Strong is a founder of the Council on Global Governance; the author of The Earth Charter, that he wants to be not only the supreme law of the planet -- replacing national laws and constitutions -- but a new 'Ten Commandments." See A New World Agenda and Rapid Reaction Against UN Foes

UN farce as Libya judges Israeli rights: "ISRAEL will find itself in front of a Libyan ‘judge’ when it appears in the dock at the United Nations this week over alleged human rights abuses. The UN’s Human Rights Commission - chaired by a diplomat from the North African country that was behind the Lockerbie bombing - will hear Israeli officials defend their country’s record.... It is also certain that Israel’s case will be swept aside in a welter of criticisms of the Jewish state, which will result in condemnatory resolutions, all of which will be approved by the UN body....

"Also on the commission is Cuba, which recently summarily executed three ferry hijackers and sentenced 75 political activists and journalists to prison terms of between six and 28 years for 'anti-state' activities. The US likened Cuba’s election to the commission to putting Al Capone 'in charge of bank security'."

Blair 'will back policy of armed invasion': "Tony Blair is expected to put his name today to a declaration justifying armed intervention against failing states. He and other Left-wing national leaders will expound the principle, which runs counter to traditional thinking about national sovereignty, at the end of a four-day conference on the subject of "progressive governance"....

"The right to sovereignty brings associated responsibilities to protect citizens," the draft said.... The participants include Jean Chrétien, the Canadian prime minister, Chancellor Gerhard Schröder of Germany, President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa (a Communist).... Downing Street described the summit as an 'important opportunity for those with similar political philosophies to address topics of shared interest'."

Who will decide when a nation has carried out its responsibilities and deserves to be considered sovereign? What if the tables were turned? What if other nations judged the UK and USA by their own or by UN perceptions? See The Habitat II Agenda

U.N. peacekeepers lack power in Congo: "They came rushing up to the gates of the U.N. compound, hundreds upon hundreds, braving bullets and the machetes of their tribal enemies. They begged the armed peacekeepers to listen: 'They are looting my house. They are raping my daughter. They are killing my family. Please help us.'...Yet help didn't come. Scores of Uruguayan soldiers stayed hunkered down in the U.N. compound, hamstrung by rules of engagement concocted thousands of miles away at U.N. headquarters in New York.''

Yet this incompetent and heartless bureaucracy wants power to rule the world -- with US support. See Rapid Reaction Against UN Foes   and the next link:

U.S. seeks wider role in Africa - New small bases, training exercises are in the works: "Even as military planners prepare options for U.S. troops to join an international peacekeeping force to oversee a cease-fire in Liberia, the Pentagon wants to enhance military ties with allies such as Morocco and Tunisia." Psalm 33

US-based missiles to have global reach: "Allies to become less important as new generation of weapons enables America to strike anywhere from its own territory."

This is great if it stops war and terrorism -- but not if it's used to impose US culture and our UNESCO-based education system on other sovereign nations. See Molding Human Resources for the Global Workforce and Chronology of Education

US cuts aid over ICC immunity refusals: "The United States has cut military aid to 35 countries over their refusal to exempt US troops from prosecution by the new International Criminal Court (ICC)."

Into Africa? Why the long-suffering continent matters: "The first generations of post-independence African leaders were advised by European and American intellectuals (many of them at those universities and think tanks) to forego capitalism in favor of 'the socialist path to development.' That has turned out to be a dead end.... Africans got dictatorships instead....

"Zimbabwe – once a vibrant nation and a food exporter -- suffocates and starves under the heel of a Marxist and truly racist despot. In Congo, ethnic slaughter has killed millions. Cote D’Ivoire, once the 'showcase of West Africa' has been shattered.... The Islamist regime in Sudan has killed, enslaved and displaced millions of black Christians and animists....

"Mr. Annan seems to have no ideas. Well, there is this: The staunch opponent of American 'unilateralism' is now asking the United States to take charge – and, naturally, pick up the tab. This month, President Bush is scheduled to spend six days visiting Africa...."  Tribal rivalries and shamanism play a huge part in this human tragedy as well. So does the United Nations. Its involvement -- especially in Congo -- helped establish Marxist leaders such as Patrice Lumumba in the early sixties and destroyed those who sought to freedom and capitalism. Blending its socialist ideology with political favoritism and heartless power, it birthed chaos and terror.  Judges 17:6

New interest in U.S. withdrawal from United Nations: "Clearly, the tide is turning,' said Kincaid. 'More and more people are realizing that the U.N. is on the side of America's enemies. At the very least, I would hope that we could start the process of withdrawing from certain U.N. agencies and de-funding them."

That sounds good but may not be so easy. Remember, President Bush promised to strengthen our ties to UNESCO, and -- in mid-July -- Congress may consider H.R. 1950, the bill that would reestablish U.S. membership in UNESCO. Other UN agencies are so intertwined with U.S. communities, schools and health programs that they seem inseparable. For examples, see The UN Plan for Your Mental Health , Local Agenda 21 and World Heritage 'Protection?'  But let us ask God to show us how to pray and what to do. Only by His grace and guidance can we stand immovable in this battle for faith and freedom.

Ban on smacking children is rejected: "Calls for a change in the law to ban parents from smacking their children have been rejected by the Government. Fears that Labour would be be accused of promoting a 'nanny state' and the known objections of Tony Blair led Margaret Hodge, the new children's minister, to rule out such a ban." But the European Court of Human Rights can override British decisions -- and UK sovereignty. See International Courts Mock Sovereignty

Crumbling U.N. Seeks $1 Billion for Renovation: "The U.N.'s two 50-year-old buildings in New York City are basically falling apart — decaying pipes and crumbling ceilings are now commonplace — and the U.N. is seeking an interest-free loan worth more than $1 billion to renovate its headquarters. Who will pay to fix the 1952 original plumbing, get rid of asbestos and raise security fences?...  The sour economy means Americans are not exactly in the giving mood."     That may be a blessing in disguise. See Two UN Summits

U.S. is facing worst shortage of natural gas in 25 years: "Basic industries, like fertilizer and ammonia makers, that use gas to produce their goods, are already laying off workers. Experts warn that a warming trend - in the economy or the weather - could send prices spiking...." See the next item:

repeat Global Management. The Habitat II Agenda: "...current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class - involving high meat intake use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work-place air-conditioning, and suburban housing - are not sustainable. A shift is necessary ...." John 16:33

Hillary Clinton Attacks Bush, U.S. Intelligence Services in: "Praising her husband's close relationship with European leaders during his period in office, Clinton declared that 'for eight years we were on the right course to a globalized and integrated world - which is coming, one way or the other.'... Overseas Interview

"Not only is a 'globalized and integrated world' inevitable, it is a foreign policy priority of the Democratic Party. According to Clinton, a single, unified world 'is a perspective we Democrats have not successfully made clear.'...

"Hillary Clinton, already considered an intriguing figure in Europe, will gain additional credibility as a stateswoman as a result of the Der Spiegel interview." The U.N. Plan For Global Control: The Habitat II Agenda

Clinton to head NATO ? "One of Norway's most highly profiled and right-wing politicians, Carl Hagen, is urging the nomination of former US President Bill Clinton as new NATO boss.... Clinton, he notes, 'has good and close contact with many of Europe's leaders, and he enjoys considerable respect. He can be the bridge-builder the alliance needs.'"

He can?  Norway, my native land, must be a little out of touch with U.S. views of Clinton's values.

Creeping Socialism [in Canada] - Where is the Point of No Return? (Scroll down to the title). "The Kyoto Protocol, the Romanow Report, gun registration, the imprisonment of hard working farmers, voting rights for prisoners, the measures are endless and seem to be gaining momentum....  Its likely the point of no return to individual freedoms will be reached when more than half of Canadians are working for the government bureaucracy...."

We are not familiar with this website, but the particular article should remind us to put our faith in our wise and loving God, not in human governments. See El Shaddai, the Lord God Almighty

Saudi Arabia: Partner for Peace? "The Imam... called for the death of 'the Jews'—albeit in a relatively poetic fashion, asking for 'God to purify Jerusalem from the footprint of the Jews.'

"...the Imam was not alone....Two of the five mosque services called for the 'destruction' of Americans, and four of the five called for the 'death' or 'destruction' of 'the Jews.'

"Various Saudi officials, including the Foreign Minister, have told the international press that violently anti-Semitic and anti-American sermons were a thing of the past. The State Department has played along with that deception... trying to keep the Saudis as a strong ally and a partner for Middle East peace."

Such compromise is central to international politics. But this may be a more positive sign: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agree to cooperate in combating the menace of international terrorism

Bureaucracy abandons U.N. workers to grisly fate (Congo): "For six days, two terrified United Nations military observers phoned their superiors -- as many as four times a day -- begging to be evacuated from their remote outpost in northeastern Congo. They were receiving death threats, they said. They were alone and unarmed in Mongbwalu, a former gold-mining town ruled by the cannibalistic Lendu tribal militias. A U.N. helicopter from the town of Bunia could have retrieved them in 35 minutes. But the United Nations, handcuffed by its own rules and bureaucracy, never sent a copter....

"They had been shot in the eyes. Their stomachs were split open and their hearts and livers were missing. One man's brain was gone. "

This is merely the continuation of UN disasters in Congo. History shows its lack of genuine concern for human life. Its support for Communist leaders such as Patrice Lumumba (aligned with the USSR) back in 1960 brought confusion, chaos, terror, mass rape and destruction from the start of its "independence." Galatians 5:19-26

Money worriers: "With NAFTA and GATT doing what they were intended to do when pushed through congress by our 'globalist' legislatures, jobs in the US have vanished at an alarming rate. According to the Associated Press, over 465,000 jobs have evaporated in the past two months.

"...home foreclosures hit a record high in the fourth quarter of last year, when over 400,000 households were in foreclosure....  We only hear about the airlines and the Enrons and the K-Marts as they go into bankruptcy, but many of our major US companies owe hundreds of billions to their employee's pension funds. Those stories never make the news." Philippians 3:11-13

What goes around comes around: "It is fairly certain the Blair government is not going to hand over Mr. Blair to the Greeks or to the ICC.... But if the ICC issues a warrant, Mr. Blair won't be able to go to Greece or to any country that might hand him over to the ICC.... [O]nce Mr. Blair achieves his goal of dissolving Great Britain into the European Union, there will be no sovereign British government to protect him. He could be picked up at will by EU police and handed over to the ICC." See International Courts Mock Sovereignty

When white-collar jobs follow the blues: "H-1B visas were created in 1990 to allow corporations to import up to 65,000 foreign skilled workers to fill alleged labor shortages, a claim that was always a fiction.... The corporations had such clout with politicians that in 2000 they got the number of allowable H-1B visas tripled to 195,000 - even while the industry was hiring only 2 percent of software applicants.

"Insurance giant Cigna Corp. fired its Connecticut workers and turned its tech jobs over to the Indian firm, Satyam....This Cigna agreement denies U.S. citizens even the chance to compete. Where are the conservatives who argued for years against closed union shop?"

U.S. Reorganizing for Terror: "The United States will reorganize its forces worldwide to confront the threat of terrorism, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz said Friday. 'We are in the process of taking a fundamental look at our military posture worldwide, including in the United States.... We're facing a very different threat than any one we've faced historically." See Homeland Security and the Transformation of America

Global Management System. WHO (World Health Organization) Gets Wider Power to Fight Global Health Threats: "The U.N. agency's governing body unanimously approved a resolution to allow WHO to intervene even when countries refuse to admit they are facing a health crisis, and to send teams to independently investigate whether national authorities are responding effectively.... WHO is now authorized to evaluate the severity of the threat and whether countermeasures are adequate. If necessary, "and after informing the government concerned," WHO can "conduct on-the-spot studies . . . with the purpose of ensuring that appropriate control measures are being employed."

WHO is no friend to Christianity, and has a massive worldwide plan to eliminate the threat of its "poisonous certainties." See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health

Why the U.N. can never bring peace: "The 'Dictionary of Scientific Communism,' popular among leftists in the old Cold War days, defines 'peace' as a world that is totally communist. Considering atheist communism is responsible for over 100 million deaths in the 20th century, I think we can pass on that definition....

In debate, it's essential to define one's terms, yet typical globalists are strangely resistant to defining 'peace.' Why? ...

"'Peace isn't simply an absence of war;' said Ronald Reagan, 'it's the presence of justice.' ... So now if we want peace, we – and the U.N. – must also achieve 'justice.'"

But first we have to define "justice". Like "peace," it means different things to different groups. Does it mean (as socialists claim) a government policy of redistributing wealth and other resources to create social and economic "equality" around the world?

We hope to add a new list of such words to our glossary next week.

Global 'gay' rights measure before U.N.: "The resolution is 'a historic opportunity to advance [homosexual] issues in international human-rights law,' said the San Francisco-based International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission...

"... the U.N. Commission on Human Rights is preparing to vote on a resolution calling on all countries 'to promote and protect the human rights of all persons regardless of their sexual orientation.'"

Notice how the American view of individual rights is being redefined and replaced with a socialist view of collective rights for the "victims" of the old system. The real winners are those who want to replace our personal freedom with absolute government control. See Isaiah 5:20

New push to 'get U.S. out of U.N.': "A concerted effort is underway to push Congress to consider the complete withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations." The problem is that UN agencies and programs are so intertwined with US agencies and "civil society" that they can no longer be separated. Chronology of the UN

US tax returns to India causing stir: "In keeping with the great outsourcing trend that has swept across American businesses, thousands of US tax returns are now being processed in India, a development that has led to quite a stir in the accounting community....

"'The business is still in its infancy, but we are looking at over 100,000 returns going to India this coming year,' says Mirchandani, whose firm has a 300-person operation in Bangalore and is looking to expand because of the growing demand....

"'The very notion of transmitting confidential tax data - from Social Security and employer identification numbers to financial information - to any foreign country, even Canada, borders on the reprehensible at best, and is treasonous at worst,' Caroll fumed." John 2:24-25

U.S. Action is Crucial to Maintaining World Order: "Critics of America’s preeminent role in the world, like France’s president, are quick to see the supposed problems related to a unipolar world. What they are far slower to offer is a realistic alternative.... Indeed, in the continuing case of North Korea’s violation of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty, France and China have actively sought to push the matter away from U.N. consideration." While we don't agree that the U.S. has any mandate to rule the rest of the world, this article point out the problem with a world management system based on consensus. Judges 17:6

UK minister proposes refugee 'camp' plan: "Advocacy groups, who have seen drafts of the report, have been scathing, claiming the plans to set up 'Transit Processing Centres' will in effect mean the creation of mass internment camps. Pressure groups say there are serious legal and moral questions to be resolved.

"...sites for the camps include Romania, Croatia, Albania and Ukraine. There are also plans to back-up these centres with ‘Regional Protection Areas’ set up in regions that create large numbers of refugees such as Turkey, Iran or Morocco." See Brave New World

Global management through (the environmental) crisis. Saving the Earth and its People: "Over the past 11 years, the United Nations (U.N.) has been advancing an all-encompassing plan called Agenda 21. This plan is a forty-chapter manifesto allegedly defining the ills of the world and a host of collectivist solutions under the banner of sustainable development....

"There is a problem with Agenda 21.... It cannot work. Many of the problems allegedly cured with Agenda 21 - such as poverty, biodiversity, desertification, over population, and a host of others - are made worse by this U.N. plan, not better. Other problems, like global warming, ozone depletion and others are not manmade problems, but natural phenomena made to appear to be manmade by using pseudoscience in order to justify the alleged need for global governance."  See Local Agenda 21- The U.N. Plan for Your Community and the next link:

Communitarianism. The Communitarian Network: "The Communitarian Network is a coalition of individuals and organizations who have come together to shore up the moral, social, and political environment. We are a nonsectarian, nonpartisan, transnational association."

Yes, this new "Third Way" of managing human resources is fast spreading its tempting promises around the world. It's a pleasing model for the new global society. See A Third Way to a Good Society and Homeland Security and the Transformation of America

A Miasmia of Corruption - The United Nations at 50: "Existing evidence indicates that corruption and mismanagement go beyond the routine fraud, waste, and abuse of resources that mark all public-sector enterprises. UN budgets are shrouded in secrecy, and the actual performance of the myriad bureaucracies is translucent, if not opaque."

Attempts at reform has added some accountability since this article was written (1996) but done little to change the attitudes and practices of UN bureaucrats.

Is your job safe?  "U.S. corporations no longer have to outsource your high-tech or information technology (IT) job to China or India. They just bring your replacement here on an L-1 visa....

"H-1B visas were used to keep employers from bidding up U.S. wages and calling forth a larger supply of the needed skills. Instead of allowing the price system to work in the United States, H-1B visas simply enlarged the U.S. labor supply to include the entire world. Many American students who invested in obtaining software and IT skills graduated only to discover that their careers had been given to foreigners or outsourced abroad.

"Several hundred thousand educated and formerly high-income Americans were displaced by the H-1B program.... but before the scandal could break, L-1 visas took over.... Corporations use them to hire Asians at one-third the salary of their U.S. employees. Then the Asians are transferred to the United States, where the 'downsized' U.S. employees spend their last employed months training their replacements....

"No other country in the world, with the partial exception of the United Kingdom, dispossesses its own citizens in this way. Will a people who feel betrayed by their own government and corporations support the foreign adventures of American empire, or will American identity dissipate, dissolving the country?" Psalm 23

First and last war of the Bush Doctrine? "...the Bush Doctrine... is universal. Its heart may be found in a single sentence in the 2002 State of the Union: 'The United States of America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons.' ... Inherent in the Bush Doctrine is 'pre-emption.' America claims an inherent right to initiate preventive wars on nations that do not threaten us or attack us, but may threaten or attack us someday in the future." Pre-emption or "prevention" is at the heart of Homeland Security program as well. But that's also reason for concern. See Homeland Security and the transformation of America

European Union seeks U.S. water, public service rights: "The 15-member European Union has requested the U.S. government allow them to take over water and sewer systems here. For the average person, that could mean paying a European corporation for utility services, with no limits or regulations by the U.S. government.

"Documents detailing the EU’s plans to open up the free market, which includes allowing European competition on U.S. libraries, postal service, education and health care providers, were leaked to the public last week..." See "Outsourced economy" below.

Outsourced' economy: Economists "simply assume globalism to be the beneficial workings of free trade...

"Is outsourcing trade? What is being traded when a U.S. firm or industry relocates its capital and technology in China, where it employs Chinese labor to produce goods for the U.S. market?...

"Trade implies reciprocity. It is a two-way street. There is no reciprocity in outsourcing, only the export of domestic jobs. That's why the U.S. is currently running a $125 billion trade deficit with China alone, a third world country." Psalm 62:5-8

Indulgence undermining U.N.: "Libya, internationally recognized as one of the world's most oppressive governments and among the most egregious violators of human rights, will take control of the U.N.'s Commission on Human Rights. And in May, the very same Iraq that is systematically hiding weapons of mass destruction, including a reported 5,000 liters of anthrax and thousands of liters of botulin, nerve gas and sarin gas, will take (from Iran, no less) the gavel of a body billed by the U.N. as 'the world's sole multilateral forum for [nuclear] disarmament negotiations.'" See Trading U.S. Rights for UN Rules

German Giant Taking Over American Water Supply: "The influence of foreign business can be seen across America, with consumers cheerfully buying Japanese cars, Korean TVs and clothing made in China. But many Americans aren't so happy about foreigners controlling their water supply." Deuteronomy 28

Brussels elite accused over 'federalist coup': "Britain will lose control of foreign policy and defence and will be stripped of its sovereign power to legislate in almost all areas of national life, under the draft text of the European constitution released yesterday."

The New Global Job Shift: "...These layoffs, though, aren't just happening because demand has dried up. Ex-Bank of America managers and contractors say one-third of those jobs are headed to India, where work that costs $100 an hour in the U.S. gets done for $20. Many former BofA workers are returning to college to learn new software skills....

"Cut to India. In dazzling new technology parks rising on the dusty outskirts of the major cities, no one's talking about job losses. ... Cut again to Manila, Shanghai, Budapest, or San José, Costa Rica. These cities--and dozens more across the developing world--have become the new back offices for Corporate America...." Iraq to Chair U.N. Disarmament Conference? "Iraq is going to chair the May 12-June 27 session of the U.N.'s single most important disarmament negotiating forum. Iran will co-chair. Defenders of the U.N. will write this off as a simple accident, pointing out that the chairmanship rotates alphabetically under the U.N. absurdity that grants all member states equal moral standing. Fine. How then do U.N. defenders explain the recent elevation of Libya to the chairmanship of the U.N. Commission?" See The Re-establishment of Peacetime Society

World Summit on Sustainable Development -- Commendation from Christian Leaders: This prayer follows the endorsement of the UN agenda:  "'Creating God, you have given us a vision of a new heaven and a new earth...'  We seek to inspire and enable personal change while recognising that structural (i.e. institutional) reform is needed in order to realise a vision of peace, environmental sustainability and social justice."  But Biblical truth is incompatible with the universal spirituality needed to fulfill the UN quest for social solidarity and socialist economy. Map of ["Euro-regions"] was drawn up 30 years ago: "The purpose has always been consistent: to create a Europe of the Regions, relating directly to Brussels, as a way of breaking up national identities, reducing the power of national governments and promoting a common European identity. ... Much of the initiative has come from various shadowy bodies under the aegis of the Council of Europe, such as the Council of European Municipalities and Regions...

"The most remarkable feature of this project is the extent to which it has been pushed forward behind the scenes, without anyone admitting openly what it is all about. Tony Blair's first government moved it a huge step forward with no fewer than six Acts of Parliament... In each region a campaigning body has been set up, several chaired by bishops... to hold public meetings and create a fiction of local debate."

Yes, let the people think that they have a choice, while behind the scenes, a different agenda moves toward completion. See Reinventing the World Part 2: The Mind-Changing Process

The U.N. ain't what it ought to be: "Just look at who's heading up the United Nations Human Rights Commission: Libya.... Colonel Moammar Gadhafi was able to buy the chairmanship because it's Africa's turn to select the head of the HRC.... In return for Gadhafi's largesse, Libya's African neighbors actually let Libya run unopposed for the HRC chairmanship.'...

"It was just two years ago when the United States was kicked off the 53-member commission in order to make room for Syria.... [I think he meant the Sudan]. We're back on the commission this year, but we're sitting next to representatives from Algeria, Burkina Faso, China, Cuba, Congo, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Vietnam and Zimbabwe." Yet the rest of the world submits to this corrupt system. See Trading U.S. Rights for UN Rules and the next link:

Repeat  "U.S. is Voted Off Rights Panel of the UN for the First Time [New York Times, 5-4-01]: "The ouster of the United States from the commission while nations like Sudan and Pakistan were chosen for membership was certain to generate further hostility to the United Nations...." To grasp this amazing anti-US and anti-Christian bias, review 3 Million Sudanese Face Starvation and Her All for Him.

White House Creates International PR Office: "President Bush signed an executive order Tuesday formalizing the role of the White House Office of Global Communications, which works to improve America's image abroad by better conveying U.S. policies." Truth and clarity is needed in the midst of contrary propaganda and accusations. But the potential for abuse and misuse is obvious. Judges 17:6

Panic in US over IT job loss report, India cautious: "....nearly 500,000 jobs currently held by Americans will be lost to countries like India in the next 13 years....'The outsourcing will continue and they can't stop it even if they try to lobby,' says Kris Krishnakanth, the head of Headhunters India." Psalm 62:5-8

Indian population in NY is up by 25%: "The population of Indian Americans in New York City grew by 25 percent in 2000-01 even as the white population saw a decline....The Japanese population in New York City grew faster at 36.27 percent in 2001...".

Iraq Mends Russia Ties with New Oil Deals: "Iraq on Friday moved to repair diplomatic relations with Russia... Moscow is Baghdad's closest ally on the United Nations Security Council...." See next link:

Libya To Chair U.N. Human Rights Commission: "A spokesman for the U.S. ambassador describes Libya's human rights record as 'atrocious' and says it should not be rewarded. An African country is due to chair the commission this year. Libya was the consensus choice of other African nations." See the final vote: Libyan Elected President Of U.N. Human Rights Panel, then read Trading U.S. Rights for UN Rules

In each region a campaigning body has been set up, several chaired by bishops, such as those from Durham, Liverpool and Exeter, to hold public meetings and create a fiction of local debate. ....This aptly reflected the real nature of the project to break up the UK into powerless Euro-regions."

Local authorities prepare for Summit on Information Society: "The Summit will bring together representatives from governments, local authorities, civil society and the private sector to look at the social, technical, political, cultural and economic challenges of the information society."

World Summit on the Information Society: "The Second Meeting of the Preparatory Committee for WSIS (PrepCom-2) will begin consideration of a draft Declaration of Principles and Action Plan

Local Government Declaration to WSSD (World Summit on Sustainable Development): "We, the Mayors, Leaders and representatives of the cities and local governments of the world, and of their international and national associations ...

  • "Reaffirming our commitment to the principles of sustainable development, including solidarity, transversality (integrating the economic, social and environmental dimensions), participation of civil society in decision-making, and responsibility towards future generations and disadvantaged populations; ...

  • "Recalling too that since 1992, over 6000 local governments have set up a Local Agenda 21 process with their community, and many more have undertaken strategies to integrate the economic, social and environmental dimensions of local development; ...

  • "We ask the members of the World Associations of Local Authorities ... to promote and organise programmes for local government strengthening, mutual learning and capacity-building ...

  • "We ask our national governments... to support the work of relevant UN agencies including UN Habitat in developing effective partnership working with local government, to tackle the issues of sustainable development, effective democratic decentralisation... .

  • "...local action, undertaken in solidarity, can move the world.

IULA policy paper on decentralisation: "Decentralisation is a process of distributing and sharing power, responsibilities and resources between central, regional and local governments with the aim of dealing with governance issues in an effective manner. The ultimate goal is to develop a democratic system of governance and an adequate provision of basic services for, by and with the community at large....

IULA-UTO Unification: The inspiration for creating a new world organisation of local government came from the 1996 United Nations Istanbul Conference on Human Settlements. Here, international recognition was given to the importance of decentralisation and the strengthening of local authorities.

Mission, objectives and tasks: Objectives:

  • Promote strong and effective democratic local self-government throughout the world Promote unity and cooperation amongst members
  • Ensure the effective political representation of local government to the international community, in particular the United Nations and its agencies
  • Be the worldwide source of key information regarding local government
  • Be the worldwide source of learning, exchange and capacity-building

Solana fears widening gulf between EU and US: "The reason, he says, is a 'cultural phenomenon'.... The US was increasingly looking at things as if in a religious context....

"'For us Europeans, it is difficult to deal with because we are secular. We do not see the world in such black and white terms.'... Nowhere is this more obvious, he says, than in the language used by the Bush administration since the September 11 attacks: with us or against us, rogue states, axis of evil, right and wrong, good and bad."
