Obamacare Threatens Your Freedom: "The freedom of Americans to control their own health care needs is being threatened by massive governmental interference,' says neurosurgeon Ben Carson. ... Antibiotic-resistant infections spread through Europe: "The world is being driven towards the 'unthinkable scenario of untreatable infections', experts are warning, because of the growth of superbugs resistant to all antibiotics and the dwindling interest in developing new drugs to combat them."

They Still Really Want to Kill for Organs: According to The American Journal of Bioethics: "Doctors should abandon the 'dangerously misleading' policy of having to declare donors dead before their organs can be extracted for transplant, and adopt a more honest policy that acknowledges some patients may still be technically alive.“ [NOTE: China has been doing this for years. They get blood types and harvest organs before killing them. They often schedule the executions to match current need for organs.]

Obamacare Declares War on Doctors: "The cuts will effectively reduce the real pay for specialists by 50% over the next ten years — including a 25% reduction over the next three years — and cut general practitioners’ pay by one-third over ten years (and that assumes that inflation stays down at 3% a year)....General practitioners will face a ten year freeze on their pay, reducing their real compensation by one-third assuming ongoing low inflation. Higher inflation, of course, would make the cuts in real pay even more drastic. The consequences of the MPAC decision will be immediate and drastic:

* Many physicians, and many more specialists, will refuse to treat Medicare patients....

* More and more medical care will be turned over to nurses or physician assistants....

* Private health insurers will follow in the footsteps... and likely slash their fees as well.

* Fewer students will enter medicine, and a major shortage of doctors will reduce the quality of medical care."

Obamacare HHS rule would give government everybody’s health records: "In a proposed rule from Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the federal government is demanding insurance companies submit detailed health care information about their patients.... Why...l? In one case, a government employee’s laptop containing information about 26.5 million veterans and their spouses was stolen...."

Destroying Parental Rights Over Kids’ Healthcare: "The once sacrosanct parental right to determine their children’s health care (in all but extreme circumstances) seems to be under constant assault as the lawmakers and bureaucrats apparently believe that school-based and special interest advocates are better able to decide what is best for kids than parents. Take California’s AB 499, as one example. It would allow children over the age of 12 to obtain medical treatment without parental consent for treatment of reportable contagious or venereal diseases."

WHO to assess cell phones' link to cancer: "The meeting at WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer will review existing studies into the health effects of electromagnetic radiation to decide if it can be labeled a carcinogen."

What Health Reform Means For Medicare: "Basically, hospitals will not be able to provide seniors with the same kind of services they provide younger patients. To survive, we may see hospitals specialize in Medicare patients and provide far fewer amenities, they may offer reduced access to expensive technology. A private room paid for by Medicare may be replaced by four- or six-bed wards."

More Doctors Prescribing Yoga & Meditation: "...about 3 percent of Americans use such mind-body therapies because of a referral from a physician. Evidence is growing to support the use of mind-body therapies as a clinical treatment, said study researcher Dr. Aditi Nerurkar, of Harvard Medical School. 'Still, we didn't expect to see provider referral rates that were quite so high.' ...Mind-body therapies, which include things like yoga and tai chi, are a type of CAM....The findings indicate these therapies may be becoming a more mainstream approach to care." Now Nap Time: "In January, Paul Ecke Central Elementary School in Southern California added yoga to its curriculum for 650 students at $20,000 a year....Donna Freeman, a yoga instructor in St. Albert, Canada, builds classes around themes....During the Chinese New Year, she taught a class around animals in the zodiac, such as the rabbit or snake.

     "In some cases, parents have raised religious objections to yoga, saying that it's a form of worship that conflicts with their beliefs. So, some instructors avoid certain phrases and exercise positions that have spiritual connotations. A Bad Day For ObamaCare: "Judge Roger Vinson clarified his earlier ruling on Thursday, explaining that he did indeed strike down the entire law as unconstitutional, so it can’t be implemented against any of the 26 states that were party to the suit he ruled on. Vinson was brutally dismissive of the Administration’s delaying tactics, and their attempts to ignore his ruling....Also on Thursday, the House passed a repeal of the 1099 reporting provisions in ObamaCare. Forcing Social & Spiritual Change through UN/US Healthcare: "'The impending transformation of medicine is a window to the transformation of all our institutions.'

    "...we have no real 'freedom' in the eyes of the UN. Its promised 'rights' don't apply to those who would exercise their 'free speech' and criticize the UN or its policies. Every privilege would be conditioned on compliance. Organized medical fraud in Wisconsin: "Dr. Paul Hsieh...spots an alarming trend: “[A] new form of medical ethics is being taught in medical schools that tells doctors to place the needs of ‘society’ ahead of individual patients. At best, it forces doctors to juggle the truth and the interests of their patients alongside ‘social’ considerations. United States and China Launch Public-Private Partnership on Healthcare : "...on the occasion of the State Visit of President Hu Jintao to the United States, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) joined with China’s Ministries of Health (MoH) and Commerce (MOFCOM) to announce their support for the establishment a new public-private partnership in the healthcare sector.

      Initially, twelve U.S. companies and six supporting organizations will participate in this partnership, alongside the supporting U.S. and Chinese Government agencies. The partnership will be organized around U.S. healthcare industry strengths and government capabilities in order to foster long-term cooperation with China in the areas of research, training, regulation and the adoption of an environment that will increase accessibility to healthcare services in China...

     "Chinese participants will gain greater access to U.S. private sector expertise and ingenuity and better awareness of new technologies and results-oriented regulatory processes. Over time, the partnership will enhance cooperation in areas such as rural healthcare, emergency response, personnel training, medical information technology, and management systems; while also exploring ways to support other fields such as integrative and traditional Chinese medicine." Presumptuous Consent: "Many more sick people need kidneys, hearts, and livers than there are kidneys, hearts, and livers to go around. This shortage is the result of both decreased supply and increased demand.....But the acute organ shortage has also tempted some to seek a weakening of the strict ethical rules....• Donors of vital organs must be clinically dead before procurement, a requirement known as the 'dead donor rule;' and • Organs will be taken only if consent is freely given—either by the patient via signed organ donor cards or by family members.

      "Many current proposals to alleviate the organ shortage would devastate the viability of both protections. ....One often advocated approach is to 'redefine death' to include the diagnosis of persistent vegetative state, based on the noxious notion that a patient who has irreversibly lost conscious awareness ceases to be a 'person.'...

      "The proposal states: 'If the applicant does not decline to be registered in the New York State Organ and Tissue Donor Registry they will be automatically enrolled.'"

Emergency Services to Suffer Under ObamaCare: "Every shrill wail of an ambulance siren signals the inefficiency of the federal mega-program... ObamaCare. ...not enough money is provided for the expected huge increased need for EMS....emergency departments can 'no longer afford to remain operational.'"

NYC 'harvesting organs': "New York City today is launching a new program to put a roving Organ Preservation Unit in the field to harvest kidneys from people who die after going into cardiac arrest. The move has prompted immediate alarm from critics, who say they are concerned New York City might be taking the first steps into the organ harvesting business.... In the United States, organ brokering is strictly illegal."

     Unfortunately, many patients have been "harvested" during cardiac arrest or other near death crises (before they actually died) in order to "save" the organs sought by others.

Deceptions. The Littlest Victims of Obamacare: "Late last month, the Service Employees International Union informed dues-paying members of its behemoth 1199 affiliate in New York that it was dropping its health care coverage for children....More than 30,000 low-wage families will be affected....

     "How far we've come from the halcyon moment when President Obama rallied young college students at George Mason University in Virginia in March. To wild applause, he pledged: 'If you buy a new plan, there won't be lifetime or restrictive annual limits on the amount of care you receive from your insurance companies. (Applause.) And by the way, to all the young people here today, starting this year if you don't have insurance, all new plans will allow you to stay on your parents' plan until you are 26 years old. (Applause.)' How rumors rule in cholera-torn Haiti: "As cholera spreads... so do rumors about its origins and transmission....'It's something they've released in the water,' ventured one of the MSF-vested guards.... The most prevalent accusation is that cholera is a plot by 'the NGOs' or 'the international community' to profit even more from the misery of Cité Soleil's people..."

Haiti: With stigma on the rise over cholera, body collectors are finding that burying the dead is a chaotic effort: "Stacked with body bags full of corpses of cholera victims, a converted flatbed truck and a colorful tap-tap taxi swerved into the yard of the mayor's office and their drivers asked where to bury the dead. 'Get out of here. Get out of here before they start throwing stones,' a city hall employee screamed, her voice panicky, her hands flaring....

     "Frightened by a disease never before known in this nation, Haitians are running scared. Residents are stoning the dead and their handlers, local mayors are refusing their burial, and families are abandoning bodies on the streets.....'Once we collect the bodies, we have no way to dispose of them,'' said Rochefort Saint-Louis....[Numbers:] 1,186 dead from cholera, 19,646 hospitalized."

Troubled Obamacare...'No possible reading of Constitution supports unelected board that's untouchable': "Among the key provisions is the demand by the federal government that consumers buy the health insurance that the government specifies – or pay up to thousands of dollars in penalties. In addition, the penalties are being assessed as part of the nation's income tax structure, which actually provides criminal penalties for failing to comply....'The federal health care law orders the creation by 2012 of the Independent Payment Advisory Board, an unelected commission that will be free to set Medicare policy and health care payment rates with no meaningful congressional oversight and without the possibility of judicial review.'..."The law also prohibits Congress from acting to repeal the agency in perpetuity, except for a narrow window in 2017."'

     "The Centers For Disease Control has said and proven that the homosexual lifestyle is unhealthy and dangerous to those who participate in it.... Where is the public outcry when this dangerous lifestyle choice is promoted by schools, cities, states, courts and the federal government?... Why do cities, states and our federal government help these victims by celebrating with them in gay-pride events, and why do schools celebrate an entire day during the National Day Of Silence? Hospice, Hospitals &, Nursing Homes Have License To Kill: "Many hospitals and nursing homes are now the new 'killing fields' in America, especially when it comes to the care of senior citizens. ...the older a patient is, the more likely death will be the outcome as a result of an agenda which places little, if any, value on life....

    '"Most people believe a death panel is a panel, but it's not,' said Dr. Tonimarie Vincent....'A death panel is one doctor....You can go into an emergency room for an acute condition and...if you're elderly or you don't have the right insurance, they'll say: 'Well, it's just not worth treating the patient.' So, that's the death panel."

If you like your health insurance, too bad: "On Tuesday, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Massachusetts dropped its Medicare Advantage program, leaving 22,000 senior citizens to find other coverage to take care of expenses not paid by Medicare. Harvard Pilgrim said the decision to drop its Medicare Advantage program resulted from the company's concern for 'the long-term viability of Medicare Advantage programs..'" Hospital withholds food, water from Christian pastor: "It's been more than a week since pastor Joshua Kulendran Mayandy has been given food or water at a Brampton, Canada, hospital where he is being treated for a brain impairment following a heart attack. The medical facility's officials are following a determination that he will get his next sustenance only when he can ask the doctor for it....

     "The disagreement over his condition and capacity triggered in Ontario the involvement of the region's 'Consent and Capacity' board, which by law determines the proper medical treatment for patients unable to make decisions themselves....

     " ...the hospital removed Mayandy's feeding tube, prompting his church supporters to file a complaint and get a court-appointed attorney. The attorney contacted Mayandy's sister, Malika Arumugan, but the 'consent board' determined she did not understand the situation....The board's ultimate decision, after hearing from 'all parties,' ruled that Brampton Hospital could remove Mayandy's feeding tube and other modes of life-support....

     "Alex Schadenberg, director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, says the board's decision simply is euthanasia by omission."

Bill Gates talks about ‘vaccines to reduce population’: "Microsoft founder and one of the world’s wealthiest men, Bill Gates, projects an image of a benign philanthropist..... Is Repeal Within Reach? "Get ready for your life to change. The so-called benefits of ObamaCare don’t start until 2014, but the tax increases, misallocated resources and federal regulations start now. Speaker Nancy Pelosi famously said the night of ObamCare’s passage, 'We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it…' The emerging picture is frightening.... Obesity Rating for Every American Must Be Included in Stimulus-Mandated Electronic Health Records : The obesity-rating regulation states that every American's electronic health record must: “Calculate body mass index. Feds want doctors off paper records: "The Obama administration on Tuesday rolled out an ambitious five-year plan for moving doctors and hospitals to computerized medical records, promising greater safety for patients and lower costs. Are Overdue Reports Concealing ObamaCare Impact On Medicare? "Every year, the Annual Report of the Social Security Board of Trustees comes out between mid-April and mid-May. Now it's July, and there's no sign of this year's report.... The Congressional Budget Office reported last week in its Long Term Budget Outlook that Social Security was already running a deficit this year.... What the administration is trying to hide are sweeping draconian cuts to Medicare resulting from the ObamaCare legislation, which the annual report will document."

House plan overturning Obamacare halfway there -- If 109 more signatures gathered, even Pelosi couldn't halt new vote: "A measure in the U.S. House of Representatives that would force the chamber into a new vote on Obamacare, even if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn't want it, is halfway toward its needed support."

Obama Fills Medicare and Medicaid Post Without Senate Approval: "President Obama on Wednesday bypassed Congress and appointed Dr. Donald Berwick to head Medicare and Medicaid -- filling the job while Congress is in recess to get around Republican opposition..."

Failing grade for Obamacare: "President Obama and congressional Democrats promised it would create jobs, lower costs, reduce the deficit, allow Americans to keep their health care, protect seniors' coverage, prohibit taxpayer-funded abortion...' Boehner's report said. 'It isn't just that none of these promises or predictions have turned out to be true....'The government has confirmed that the new law's massive Medicare cuts will fall squarely on the backs of seniors, millions of whom will be forced off their current Medicare coverage.' The report also said Obama officials have confirmed their new law 'will force some 87 million Americans to drop their current coverage despite President Obama's promise...' ... Obama has done nothing to implement his executive order that was supposed to prevent taxpayer funding of abortions."

Obamacare inch by inch: "Obamacare, Hillarycare, national health care, universal health care and single payer are all euphemisms that have been used for socialized medicine. Why all the euphemisms? It's because socialized medicine has been an abject failure and has never been able to deliver on its advertised promise of better health care for less. In fact, the hallmark of socialized medicine is just the opposite. It delivers less quality health care and the costs skyrocket with every passing year until... rationing is imposed."

Sebelius supports healh care rationing: "...Sebilius’s clear support of medical rationing, along with the appointment of Berwick, and the influence of people like Tom Daschle, the influence of Ezekiel Emanuel and Cass Sunstein, etc., prove the lie of President Obama’s many assurances that health care reform would not lead to rationing....

     "The president went even further, explicitly denying the rationing charge in a speech dated July 18, 2009...: 'Finally, opponents of health reform warn that this is all some big plot for socialized medicine or government-run health care with long lines and rationed care. A "Duty to Die"? [Thomas Sowell]: "Make no mistake about it, letting old people die is a lot cheaper than spending the kind of money required to keep them alive and well. If a government-run medical system is going to save any serious amount of money, it is almost certain to do so by sacrificing the elderly....

     "At that time, we didn't have things like electricity or central heating or hot running water. But we had a roof over our heads and food on the table-- and Aunt Nance Ann was welcome to both. Poor as we were, I never heard anybody say, or even intimate, that Aunt Nance Ann had 'a duty to die.' I only began to hear that kind of talk decades later, from highly educated people in an affluent age, when even most families living below the official poverty level owned a car or truck and had air-conditioning....

     "Back in the days of Aunt Nance Ann, nobody in our family had ever gone to college. Indeed, none had gone beyond elementary school. Apparently you need a lot of expensive education, sometimes including courses on ethics, before you can start talking about 'a duty to die.'...

     "Much of what is taught in our schools and colleges today seeks to break down traditional values, and replace them with more fancy and fashionable notions, of which 'a duty to die' is just one.... These efforts at changing values used to be called 'values clarification,' though the name has had to be changed repeatedly over the years, as more and more parents caught on to what was going on and objected. 'We need thousands of new doctors and nurses in America, not thousands more IRS agents,' Brady insists."
