Health Management & Social Control
2010-2011 (more recent reports here)
Skip down to
Don’t Dare Call the Health Law ‘Redistribution’: "A commitment to economic justice necessarily implies a commitment to the redistribution of economic resources.'... 'Redistribution is a loaded word that conjures up all sorts of unfairness in people’s minds,' said William M. Daley, who was Mr. Obama’s chief of staff at the time. ...These days the word is particularly toxic at the White House, where it has been hidden away to make the Affordable Care Act more palatable to the public and less a target for Republicans, who have long accused Democrats of seeking 'socialized medicine.'” See Deceit, Delusion and the Destruction of America
Dr. Ben Carson: Obamacare Worst Thing Since Slavery: "'It is slavery, in a way, because it is making all of us subservient to the government.... It was never about healthcare. It was about control. ...'That's why, when this administration took office, it didn't matter that the country was going off the cliff economically, all forces were directed toward getting this legislation passed..." See The Road to Serfdom: "The End of Truth
Obamacare Threatens Your Freedom: "The freedom of Americans to control their own health care needs is being threatened by massive governmental interference,' says neurosurgeon Ben Carson. ... Carson says that the way Obamacare has been forced onto the public is similar to the Soviet Union's treatment of its citizens. 'This practice in some ways resembles that of the centralized government system that swept the Soviet Union, whose notorious founders wrote that it was sometimes necessary to force ideas on a populace that will eventually come to accept and endorse the ideas."
Antibiotic-resistant infections spread through Europe: "The world is being driven towards the 'unthinkable scenario of untreatable infections', experts are warning, because of the growth of superbugs resistant to all antibiotics and the dwindling interest in developing new drugs to combat them."
They Still Really Want to Kill for Organs: According to The American Journal of Bioethics: "Doctors should abandon the 'dangerously misleading' policy of having to declare donors dead before their organs can be extracted for transplant, and adopt a more honest policy that acknowledges some patients may still be technically alive.“ [NOTE: China has been doing this for years. They get blood types and harvest organs before killing them. They often schedule the executions to match current need for organs.]
Obamacare Declares War on Doctors: "The cuts will effectively reduce the real pay for specialists by 50% over the next ten years — including a 25% reduction over the next three years — and cut general practitioners’ pay by one-third over ten years (and that assumes that inflation stays down at 3% a year)....General practitioners will face a ten year freeze on their pay, reducing their real compensation by one-third assuming ongoing low inflation. Higher inflation, of course, would make the cuts in real pay even more drastic. The consequences of the MPAC decision will be immediate and drastic:
* Many physicians, and many more specialists, will refuse to treat Medicare patients....
* More and more medical care will be turned over to nurses or physician assistants....
* Private health insurers will follow in the footsteps... and likely slash their fees as well.
* Fewer students will enter medicine, and a major shortage of doctors will reduce the quality of medical care."
'My headache's about to explode' : "Gardasil, the controversial drug....is back in the news as newly unearthed documents reveal 26 additional deaths [believed to be] caused by the shot designed to help prevent young women from getting a sexually transmitted disease that can lead to cervical cancer." See The UN Seizure of Parental Rights
Obamacare HHS rule would give government everybody’s health records: "In a proposed rule from Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the federal government is demanding insurance companies submit detailed health care information about their patients.... Why...l? In one case, a government employee’s laptop containing information about 26.5 million veterans and their spouses was stolen...."
Destroying Parental Rights Over Kids’ Healthcare: "The once sacrosanct parental right to determine their children’s health care (in all but extreme circumstances) seems to be under constant assault as the lawmakers and bureaucrats apparently believe that school-based and special interest advocates are better able to decide what is best for kids than parents. Take California’s AB 499, as one example. It would allow children over the age of 12 to obtain medical treatment without parental consent for treatment of reportable contagious or venereal diseases."
WHO to assess cell phones' link to cancer: "The meeting at WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer will review existing studies into the health effects of electromagnetic radiation to decide if it can be labeled a carcinogen."
What Health Reform Means For Medicare: "Basically, hospitals will not be able to provide seniors with the same kind of services they provide younger patients. To survive, we may see hospitals specialize in Medicare patients and provide far fewer amenities, they may offer reduced access to expensive technology. A private room paid for by Medicare may be replaced by four- or six-bed wards."
More Doctors Prescribing Yoga & Meditation: "...about 3 percent of Americans use such mind-body therapies because of a referral from a physician. Evidence is growing to support the use of mind-body therapies as a clinical treatment, said study researcher Dr. Aditi Nerurkar, of Harvard Medical School. 'Still, we didn't expect to see provider referral rates that were quite so high.' ...Mind-body therapies, which include things like yoga and tai chi, are a type of CAM....The findings indicate these therapies may be becoming a more mainstream approach to care." See Reiki Power
Namaste. Now Nap Time: "In January, Paul Ecke Central Elementary School in Southern California added yoga to its curriculum for 650 students at $20,000 a year....Donna Freeman, a yoga instructor in St. Albert, Canada, builds classes around themes....During the Chinese New Year, she taught a class around animals in the zodiac, such as the rabbit or snake.
"In some cases, parents have raised religious objections to yoga, saying that it's a form of worship that conflicts with their beliefs. So, some instructors avoid certain phrases and exercise positions that have spiritual connotations. Or they substitute others: At Chabad schools in New York, for instance, children say 'shalom' instead of the traditional 'om.'" See Yoga
Codex Committee on Food Additives Meets in China: "...I wondered why the food-additives committee was approving contaminants as additives to food while the contaminants committee was doing the same. Why, I still ask myself, did the Codex Alimentarius Commission divide the original contaminants and food-additives committee into two separate committees several years ago if all they were doing was treating every toxin as a possible food additive?.... [Codex] has created various committees each hosted by a different country." See Walnuts, Milk and Global Tyranny
The New Age Christian—An Accepted Oxymoron: "...a colleague who is a deacon at the local Baptist church was telling me about his visits to a local woman for 'Therapeutic Massage.' He said she used 'some kind of Indian technique.' 'I asked him if it was Reiki and he said 'Yeah that’s it. She’s a Reiki practitioner.'... 'There are several deacons at my church that believe in Reiki.'” See Reiki "Power"
Changing Science, Changing Mind: "To New Age 'Aquarians,' the transmission of healthcare was viewed as a channel in an occult sense, a pathway to communicate a New Age worldview. ...Medicine needed to become holistic with an active spiritual component: the New Age/New Spirituality.... By tampering with the brain, New Age leaders actively sought to create pathways to the spirit world." See Mysticism & Global Mind Change and Rick Warren’s New Age Health Gurus
The “WOO” Factor: "Woo can be classified as 'New Age.' A believer must always do research to determine if an alternative medicine model or practice originates from an eastern or occult mystical worldview. It is this spiritual component that is so dangerous to believers. ... Christians are vulnerable to these mind-body-spirit healing claims of Woo, especially when they are desperate for a medical miracle." See Holistic Health
A Bad Day For ObamaCare: "Judge Roger Vinson clarified his earlier ruling on Thursday, explaining that he did indeed strike down the entire law as unconstitutional, so it can’t be implemented against any of the 26 states that were party to the suit he ruled on. Vinson was brutally dismissive of the Administration’s delaying tactics, and their attempts to ignore his ruling....Also on Thursday, the House passed a repeal of the 1099 reporting provisions in ObamaCare. These new regulations...would have burdened businesses with a vast amount of new paperwork. ...another part of the ObamaCare fraud involved double-counting half a trillion dollars." See My High Tower: Seeing the world from God's perspective
Forcing Social & Spiritual Change through UN/US Healthcare: "'The impending transformation of medicine is a window to the transformation of all our institutions.'
"...we have no real 'freedom' in the eyes of the UN. Its promised 'rights' don't apply to those who would exercise their 'free speech' and criticize the UN or its policies. Every privilege would be conditioned on compliance. As Andrei Vishinsky wrote in The Law of the Soviet State, 'There can be no place for freedom of speech, press, and so on for the foes of socialism.' Could that apply to WHO as well?"
Organized medical fraud in Wisconsin: "Dr. Paul Hsieh...spots an alarming trend: “[A] new form of medical ethics is being taught in medical schools that tells doctors to place the needs of ‘society’ ahead of individual patients. At best, it forces doctors to juggle the truth and the interests of their patients alongside ‘social’ considerations. At worst, it will give them license to sacrifice their professional integrity (and their patients’ interests) in the name of ‘society.’
"Americans should brace themselves for more social activism under Obamacare. Dr. Donald Berwick, President Obama’s choice to head Medicare, advocates the alarming notion that 'this isolated relationship [between doctor and patient] is no longer tenable' without government intervention. ....
"The University of Wisconsin’s government doctors ordained that the society of government schoolteachers should be served but the society of Wisconsin private-citizen taxpayers should not. And that is the very essence of Obamacare - under which the powerful and connected can divide America into two camps: those who will find favor and those who will not." See God's Peace in the midst of turmoil
United States and China Launch Public-Private Partnership on Healthcare : "...on the occasion of the State Visit of President Hu Jintao to the United States, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) joined with China’s Ministries of Health (MoH) and Commerce (MOFCOM) to announce their support for the establishment a new public-private partnership in the healthcare sector.
Initially, twelve U.S. companies and six supporting organizations will participate in this partnership, alongside the supporting U.S. and Chinese Government agencies. The partnership will be organized around U.S. healthcare industry strengths and government capabilities in order to foster long-term cooperation with China in the areas of research, training, regulation and the adoption of an environment that will increase accessibility to healthcare services in China...
"Chinese participants will gain greater access to U.S. private sector expertise and ingenuity and better awareness of new technologies and results-oriented regulatory processes. Over time, the partnership will enhance cooperation in areas such as rural healthcare, emergency response, personnel training, medical information technology, and management systems; while also exploring ways to support other fields such as integrative and traditional Chinese medicine."[U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, January 19, 2011] See Washington's Farewell Address (Read the last two paragraphs in his Farewell Address)
Presumptuous Consent: "Many more sick people need kidneys, hearts, and livers than there are kidneys, hearts, and livers to go around. This shortage is the result of both decreased supply and increased demand.....But the acute organ shortage has also tempted some to seek a weakening of the strict ethical rules....• Donors of vital organs must be clinically dead before procurement, a requirement known as the 'dead donor rule;' and • Organs will be taken only if consent is freely given—either by the patient via signed organ donor cards or by family members.
"Many current proposals to alleviate the organ shortage would devastate the viability of both protections. ....One often advocated approach is to 'redefine death' to include the diagnosis of persistent vegetative state, based on the noxious notion that a patient who has irreversibly lost conscious awareness ceases to be a 'person.'...
"The proposal states: 'If the applicant does not decline to be registered in the New York State Organ and Tissue Donor Registry they will be automatically enrolled.'"
Emergency Services to Suffer Under ObamaCare: "Every shrill wail of an ambulance siren signals the inefficiency of the federal mega-program... ObamaCare. ...not enough money is provided for the expected huge increased need for EMS....emergency departments can 'no longer afford to remain operational.'"
NYC 'harvesting organs': "New York City today is launching a new program to put a roving Organ Preservation Unit in the field to harvest kidneys from people who die after going into cardiac arrest. The move has prompted immediate alarm from critics, who say they are concerned New York City might be taking the first steps into the organ harvesting business.... In the United States, organ brokering is strictly illegal."
Unfortunately, many patients have been "harvested" during cardiac arrest or other near death crises (before they actually died) in order to "save" the organs sought by others.
Deceptions. The Littlest Victims of Obamacare: "Late last month, the Service Employees International Union informed dues-paying members of its behemoth 1199 affiliate in New York that it was dropping its health care coverage for children....More than 30,000 low-wage families will be affected....
"How far we've come from the halcyon moment when President Obama rallied young college students at George Mason University in Virginia in March. To wild applause, he pledged: 'If you buy a new plan, there won't be lifetime or restrictive annual limits on the amount of care you receive from your insurance companies. (Applause.) And by the way, to all the young people here today, starting this year if you don't have insurance, all new plans will allow you to stay on your parents' plan until you are 26 years old. (Applause.)' Cue bitter laughter here." See Don't Be Deceived!
How rumors rule in cholera-torn Haiti: "As cholera spreads... so do rumors about its origins and transmission....'It's something they've released in the water,' ventured one of the MSF-vested guards.... The most prevalent accusation is that cholera is a plot by 'the NGOs' or 'the international community' to profit even more from the misery of Cité Soleil's people..."
Haiti: With stigma on the rise over cholera, body collectors are finding that burying the dead is a chaotic effort: "Stacked with body bags full of corpses of cholera victims, a converted flatbed truck and a colorful tap-tap taxi swerved into the yard of the mayor's office and their drivers asked where to bury the dead. 'Get out of here. Get out of here before they start throwing stones,' a city hall employee screamed, her voice panicky, her hands flaring....
"Frightened by a disease never before known in this nation, Haitians are running scared. Residents are stoning the dead and their handlers, local mayors are refusing their burial, and families are abandoning bodies on the streets.....'Once we collect the bodies, we have no way to dispose of them,'' said Rochefort Saint-Louis....[Numbers:] 1,186 dead from cholera, 19,646 hospitalized."
Troubled Obamacare...'No possible reading of Constitution supports unelected board that's untouchable': "Among the key provisions is the demand by the federal government that consumers buy the health insurance that the government specifies – or pay up to thousands of dollars in penalties. In addition, the penalties are being assessed as part of the nation's income tax structure, which actually provides criminal penalties for failing to comply....'The federal health care law orders the creation by 2012 of the Independent Payment Advisory Board, an unelected commission that will be free to set Medicare policy and health care payment rates with no meaningful congressional oversight and without the possibility of judicial review.'..."The law also prohibits Congress from acting to repeal the agency in perpetuity, except for a narrow window in 2017."'
[UK] At hospitals, fembots may soon be making the rounds: "Hospital patients may soon be 'comforted' by an eerily lifelike (read: creepy) humanoid robot that can mime facial expressions of concern.....Other robots holding jobs in hospitals include a (nonhumanlike) receptionist robot at the Aizu Central Hospital located north of Tokyo, who welcomes visitors and answers spoken questions."
Transgender, transsexual and trans fats: "If something [food, etc.] is deemed unhealthy, it does not take a public vote before school boards, cities, the federal government and many parents take whatever steps are necessary to eliminate access to that danger....
"The Centers For Disease Control has said and proven that the homosexual lifestyle is unhealthy and dangerous to those who participate in it.... Where is the public outcry when this dangerous lifestyle choice is promoted by schools, cities, states, courts and the federal government?... Why do cities, states and our federal government help these victims by celebrating with them in gay-pride events, and why do schools celebrate an entire day during the National Day Of Silence? For those who are so health conscience...you need to examine the question of why the deadly homosexual lifestyle is protected." See Cultural Corruption
Hospice, Hospitals &, Nursing Homes Have License To Kill: "Many hospitals and nursing homes are now the new 'killing fields' in America, especially when it comes to the care of senior citizens. ...the older a patient is, the more likely death will be the outcome as a result of an agenda which places little, if any, value on life....
'"Most people believe a death panel is a panel, but it's not,' said Dr. Tonimarie Vincent....'A death panel is one doctor....You can go into an emergency room for an acute condition and...if you're elderly or you don't have the right insurance, they'll say: 'Well, it's just not worth treating the patient.' So, that's the death panel."
If you like your health insurance, too bad: "On Tuesday, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Massachusetts dropped its Medicare Advantage program, leaving 22,000 senior citizens to find other coverage to take care of expenses not paid by Medicare. Harvard Pilgrim said the decision to drop its Medicare Advantage program resulted from the company's concern for 'the long-term viability of Medicare Advantage programs..'" See The Power Elite behind the New World Order
Obamacare’s Bureaucracy Nightmare: "Even before a single-payer system could evolve, ObamaCare has the potential to topple from bureaucratic overload. Uncountable unelected and untested bureaucrats will be making life-affecting decisions." See Flow chart
Hospital withholds food, water from Christian pastor: "It's been more than a week since pastor Joshua Kulendran Mayandy has been given food or water at a Brampton, Canada, hospital where he is being treated for a brain impairment following a heart attack. The medical facility's officials are following a determination that he will get his next sustenance only when he can ask the doctor for it....
"The disagreement over his condition and capacity triggered in Ontario the involvement of the region's 'Consent and Capacity' board, which by law determines the proper medical treatment for patients unable to make decisions themselves....
" ...the hospital removed Mayandy's feeding tube, prompting his church supporters to file a complaint and get a court-appointed attorney. The attorney contacted Mayandy's sister, Malika Arumugan, but the 'consent board' determined she did not understand the situation....The board's ultimate decision, after hearing from 'all parties,' ruled that Brampton Hospital could remove Mayandy's feeding tube and other modes of life-support....
"Alex Schadenberg, director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, says the board's decision simply is euthanasia by omission."
Bill Gates talks about ‘vaccines to reduce population’: "Microsoft founder and one of the world’s wealthiest men, Bill Gates, projects an image of a benign philanthropist..... In a recent conference in California, Gates reveals a less public agenda of his philanthropy―population reduction, otherwise known as eugenics....Gates declares, 'First we got population. The world today has 6.8 billion people. That's headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent." The Dark Roots of EUGENICS
Medical Care Facts and Fables: "...it is cheaper to remain sick than to get medical treatment. What is cheapest of all is to die instead of getting life-saving medications and treatment, which can be very expensive...
"...what if that decision is taken out of your hands under ObamaCare and is being made for you by a bureaucrat in Washington? ....We don't hear about more than 4,000 expectant mothers who gave birth inside a hospital, but not in the maternity ward, in Britain in just one year. They had their babies in hallways, bathrooms and even elevators." See the first news item atEugenics and Population Control
Obamacare hits! Closes pain-treatment program: "Obamacare has landed in Denver, where doctors at a pain-management clinic have been told they must stop treating patients with a successful process...."
UK Woman chronicled her own death...doctors told her spreading rash was only a 'minor infection': "A desperate patient texted photos of a deadly rash spreading across her body to her mother as she lay dying on a hospital bed while being ignored by NHS doctors." See next link:
UK EU rules are making our doctors 'lazy clock-watchers': "A year after the EU directive limiting workers to a 48-hour week was brought in for the NHS, 80 per cent of consultants polled by the Royal College of Surgeons said quality of care had already been damaged..." SeeSuffering
New Zealand Demonstrates Peril of Rationing: "'The way the limited resources of our public health system are allocated across those in need is increasingly ad hoc and unfair. ...the loudest get served first....The people who benefit most, says Morgan, are the aggressive and politically connected. ...rationing is inherently political." See Smiling at Socialism
Is Repeal Within Reach? "Get ready for your life to change. The so-called benefits of ObamaCare don’t start until 2014, but the tax increases, misallocated resources and federal regulations start now. Speaker Nancy Pelosi famously said the night of ObamCare’s passage, 'We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it…' The emerging picture is frightening.... We all begin paying ObamaCare taxes this year.... There are new taxes on home sales tacked on the bill. [But]...the repeal of ObamaCare is actually within our grasp."
Suing Obamacare: "The Administration's response to the States' lawsuit can be summed up in a single word: surreal. The Administration devotes most of its submission to arguing that the lawsuit is premature because individuals and the States have not yet suffered any injury or that any injury is 'speculative.'
"In making this argument, the Administration simply ignores reality. Already, insurers have indicated that the new healthcare legislation will impose additional costs... In fact, the Administration itself concedes that some individuals will 'suffer injury' when the legislation becomes fully effective in 2014.
"More fundamentally, there can be no dispute that the legislation interferes with individuals' freedom to make health care decisions and engages in a massive redistribution of wealth."
Obesity Rating for Every American Must Be Included in Stimulus-Mandated Electronic Health Records : The obesity-rating regulation states that every American's electronic health record must: “Calculate body mass index. Automatically calculate and display body mass index (BMI) based on a patient’s height and weight.” A Common Sense Bill of Non-Rights
Feds want doctors off paper records: "The Obama administration on Tuesday rolled out an ambitious five-year plan for moving doctors and hospitals to computerized medical records, promising greater safety for patients and lower costs. Starting next year, doctors' offices and hospitals can get federal money to help defray the costs of the systems, which can run to millions of dollars for hospitals. Providers who don't comply by 2015 will face cuts in Medicare payments." See God's Peace in the midst of turmoil
Are Overdue Reports Concealing ObamaCare Impact On Medicare? "Every year, the Annual Report of the Social Security Board of Trustees comes out between mid-April and mid-May. Now it's July, and there's no sign of this year's report.... The Congressional Budget Office reported last week in its Long Term Budget Outlook that Social Security was already running a deficit this year.... What the administration is trying to hide are sweeping draconian cuts to Medicare resulting from the ObamaCare legislation, which the annual report will document."
House plan overturning Obamacare halfway there -- If 109 more signatures gathered, even Pelosi couldn't halt new vote: "A measure in the U.S. House of Representatives that would force the chamber into a new vote on Obamacare, even if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi doesn't want it, is halfway toward its needed support."
Obama Fills Medicare and Medicaid Post Without Senate Approval: "President Obama on Wednesday bypassed Congress and appointed Dr. Donald Berwick to head Medicare and Medicaid -- filling the job while Congress is in recess to get around Republican opposition..."
Failing grade for Obamacare: "President Obama and congressional Democrats promised it would create jobs, lower costs, reduce the deficit, allow Americans to keep their health care, protect seniors' coverage, prohibit taxpayer-funded abortion...' Boehner's report said. 'It isn't just that none of these promises or predictions have turned out to be true....'The government has confirmed that the new law's massive Medicare cuts will fall squarely on the backs of seniors, millions of whom will be forced off their current Medicare coverage.' The report also said Obama officials have confirmed their new law 'will force some 87 million Americans to drop their current coverage despite President Obama's promise...' ... Obama has done nothing to implement his executive order that was supposed to prevent taxpayer funding of abortions."
Obamacare inch by inch: "Obamacare, Hillarycare, national health care, universal health care and single payer are all euphemisms that have been used for socialized medicine. Why all the euphemisms? It's because socialized medicine has been an abject failure and has never been able to deliver on its advertised promise of better health care for less. In fact, the hallmark of socialized medicine is just the opposite. It delivers less quality health care and the costs skyrocket with every passing year until... rationing is imposed."
Sebelius supports healh care rationing: "...Sebilius’s clear support of medical rationing, along with the appointment of Berwick, and the influence of people like Tom Daschle, the influence of Ezekiel Emanuel and Cass Sunstein, etc., prove the lie of President Obama’s many assurances that health care reform would not lead to rationing....
"The president went even further, explicitly denying the rationing charge in a speech dated July 18, 2009...: 'Finally, opponents of health reform warn that this is all some big plot for socialized medicine or government-run health care with long lines and rationed care. That’s not true either." See Horrors in the HealthCare Bill
A "Duty to Die"? [Thomas Sowell]: "Make no mistake about it, letting old people die is a lot cheaper than spending the kind of money required to keep them alive and well. If a government-run medical system is going to save any serious amount of money, it is almost certain to do so by sacrificing the elderly....
"At that time, we didn't have things like electricity or central heating or hot running water. But we had a roof over our heads and food on the table-- and Aunt Nance Ann was welcome to both. Poor as we were, I never heard anybody say, or even intimate, that Aunt Nance Ann had 'a duty to die.' I only began to hear that kind of talk decades later, from highly educated people in an affluent age, when even most families living below the official poverty level owned a car or truck and had air-conditioning....
"Back in the days of Aunt Nance Ann, nobody in our family had ever gone to college. Indeed, none had gone beyond elementary school. Apparently you need a lot of expensive education, sometimes including courses on ethics, before you can start talking about 'a duty to die.'...
"Much of what is taught in our schools and colleges today seeks to break down traditional values, and replace them with more fancy and fashionable notions, of which 'a duty to die' is just one.... These efforts at changing values used to be called 'values clarification,' though the name has had to be changed repeatedly over the years, as more and more parents caught on to what was going on and objected. The values that supposedly needed 'clarification' had been clear enough to last for generations." See A New Way of Thinking
Man given cancerous kidney transplant: "It was supposed to be the answer to a desperately ill man's prayers. Instead, it became a ticking time bomb that condemned 37-year-old Vincent Liew to a painful death from a disease only women are supposed to get - uterine cancer... 'It was a terrible decision,' said James McCarthy, the lawyer for Liew's wife. 'The kidney was covered in tumors.'...
"It is not clear how an organ from a cancer patient ended up in Liew. Organs are not supposed to be harvested from someone who dies of cancer.... Through it all, Kimberly Liew said, her husband urged her to forgive the doctors. 'He was not furious. He said we have to accept it. To the day he died, he forgave these people.... He was a Christian. He loved God. He taught me about patience. Even though he was dying, he was staying happy.'" See God's Comfort
Presumptuous Consent: "Many more sick people need kidneys, hearts, and livers than there are kidneys, hearts, and livers to go around. This shortage is the result of both decreased supply and increased demand....The transplant community is pushing to increase the number of people signing donor cards. But the acute organ shortage has also tempted some to seek a weakening of the strict ethical rules that have for decades successfully maintained the public’s broad—if shallow—trust in organ transplant medicine. Broadly stated, these rules prevent patients—no matter how sick or catastrophically disabled—from ever being treated as a mere organ system." See the next link:
From April '09: China's hi-tech 'death van' where criminals are executed and then their organs are sold on black market: "The number of executions is expected to rise to a staggering 10,000 people this year (...at least 68 crimes - including tax evasion... - are punishable by death in China).... According to undercover investigations by human rights' groups, the police, judiciary and doctors are all involved in making millions from China's huge trade in human body parts.... After checking that the victim is dead, the medical team first remove the eyes. Then, wearing surgical gowns and masks, they remove the kidney, liver, pancreas and lungs.... The organs are dispatched in ice boxes to hospitals in the sprawling cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, which have developed another specialist trade: selling the harvested organs.... Chinese hospitals perform up to 20,000 organ transplants each year." See Depravity
Texas doctors opting out of Medicare at alarming rate: "The opt-outs follow years of declining Medicare reimbursement that culminated in a looming 21 percent cut in 2010.... 'The only way to provide cost-effective care is outside the Medicare system, a system without constant paperwork and headaches and inadequate reimbursement.'”
Health reform threatens to cram already overwhelmed emergency rooms: "The new healthcare law will pack 32 million newly insured people into emergency rooms already crammed beyond capacity.... 'We don’t have the primary care infrastructure in place in America to cover the need. Our clients are looking at and preparing for more emergency department volume, not less.' ...The Academy of Architecture for Health predicts hospitals will need at least $2 trillion over the next 20 years to meet the coming demand." See Marching toward Global Solidarity
Obama's Rationing Man: "Republicans are gearing up for a confirmation battle over another Obama nominee who promises to put health care back in the spotlight. At issue is Obama's choice to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Donald Berwick, a Harvard professor with a self-professed love affair with Britain's socialized health care system.... Berwick has defended government rationing and advocated centralized budget caps on health care spending.... '(T)he Holy Grail of universal coverage in the United States may remain out of reach unless, through rational collective action overriding some individual self-interest, we can reduce per capita costs,' Berwick wrote....
"It's hard to think of a health care system in the world that dehumanizes patients more than Berwick's beloved British system.... In March 2009, a report found that up to 1,200 died as a result of 'appalling standards of care' at just one hospital in Britain's NHS. ...'patients (were) left for hours in soiled bedclothes.…' ...people were often left in Stafford's A&E (Accident and Emergency) for hours covered in blood and without pain relief, even though they had serious injuries. Others were left without food or drink, leading some to reportedly drink from vases when thirsty.'" See The Congressional Budget Office
Betrayed by the National Health Service: [UK] "Becky Smith, 30, has been refused a breakthrough treatment.... The drug refusal came after her breast cancer was missed four times. Without the treatment she may only have 18 months to live. ...she was diagnosed with cancer the day after her 29th birthday. Further scans found the disease had spread to her liver and spine. Dr Smith has had a mastectomy and months of gruelling chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone therapy.... Dr Smith has been told she needs Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT)... to deliver targeted radiation. The treatment... has been used to treat 15,000 patients worldwide, including up to 300 in Britain." See Smiling at Socialism
Obamacare Costs Hidden From Congress: "The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had information that Obamacare would raise health expenditures and drive hospitals into the red prior to the final House healthcare vote, but didn’t share it with members of Congress.... 'Every single thing that I and others have been saying since last year that they said were lies and scare tactics, this report confirms,' said Rep. Rogers. 'Cost is going up, quality is likely to go down, and seniors are going to get negatively impacted by the negative Medicare cuts.'... Rep. Rogers believed that the Medicare problems mentioned in the report are just the 'tip of the iceberg.'"
States Warn of ‘Obamacare’ Scams: "In Illinois, a telemarketer recently sold an elderly woman a fraudulent health insurance plan that supposedly protected her against 'death panels,' the state insurance director says. In Alabama, a con artist has been offering 'government health care reform' insurance over the phone in exchange for customers’ bank account numbers....Con artists in several states are seizing on the public’s financial struggles and confusion about the recent health care overhaul."
Doctors Sue to Overturn the Health Care Bill: "The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) became the first medical society to sue to overturn the newly enacted health care bill.... 'Courts should not allow this massive intrusion into the practice of medicine and the rights of patients.' "There will be a dire shortage of physicians...."
Obama Medicare pick urges 'radical transfer of power': "President Obama's reported pick to run Medicare and Medicaid, Donald Berwick... claimed patients' quality of care in the U.S. medical system is currently measured by the 'color of their skin.'... His conclusion: To save the health care system, it first needs to be blown up."
Death panels will save"a lot of money": "Liberal economic commentator Paul Krugman says the so-called 'death panels' established by President Obama's trillion dollar nationalized health-care plan will end up saving 'a lot of money' for the government."
The Law of Unintended Circumstances: "...the federal government will have direct access to your bank accounts for elective funds transfer, and access to your medical records for whatever purpose they see fit. ...no company can sue the government for price fixing, and that there will be no judicial review against a government monopoly. ...the bill forces taxpayers to pay for Viagra... for—are you sitting down?—sex offenders! ...
"Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.)...offered an amendment to the reconciliation bill to remove this provision...: 'This amendment would enact recommendations from the Government Accountability Office to stop fraudulent payments for prescription drugs prescribed by dead providers or, to dead patients. This amendment also prohibits coverage of Viagra and other ED medications to convicted child molesters, rapists, and sex offenders, and prohibits coverage of abortion drugs.'...
Sen. Max Baucus, one of the original architects of the healthcare monstrosity, called Coburn’s amendment "a crass political stunt.' By a vote of 57-42, Democrats rejected the [Coburn] amendment.'" See The Transformation of America
Obamacare' cops: $1 billion to force new tax compliance: "Collecting taxes under the Democrats' newly passed health-care plan will cost the federal government more than $1 billion a year in salaries alone.... The legislation will require the IRS to hire as many as 16,500 additional auditors, agents and other employees to investigate and collect billions in new taxes.... 'We need thousands of new doctors and nurses in America, not thousands more IRS agents,' Brady insists."
Health Care Law to Address 'Mal-Distribution of Income': "After the Senate passed a 'fix-it' bill Thursday to make changes to the new health care law, Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the influential Finance Committee, said the overhaul was an 'income shift' to help the poor. '...the last couple three years, the mal-distribution of income in American is gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy and the middle income class is left behind,' he said. 'Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America. This legislation will have the effect of addressing that mal-distribution of income in America.'"
[Socialized medicine in UK] Number of NHS bureaucrats increases SIX TIMES as fast as number of nurses: "There are now more than 1.4million working in the Health Service - more than one in 50 people in the country, making it one of the largest employers in the world behind the likes of the Chinese Army. The news comes a day after it emerged NHS [National Health Service] productivity had fallen by 3 per cent since 2001, largely because too many staff were employed and because they have been given such generous pay increases." U.N. health organization praises U.S. health reforms: "The head of the U.N. World Health Organization on Wednesday praised U.S. healthcare reforms.... Pelosi Thanks Religious Left for Obamacare Support: "Pelosi’s website lists all the major pro-Obamacare groups to which special thanks are due. It’s mostly labor unions but also lists the National Council of Churches, the United Methodist Board of Church and Society, and a coalition called Faithful Reform in Health Care that included Mainline Protestant agencies plus Jim Wallis’ Sojourners and the Islamic Society of North America...."
Obamacare Versus Freedom: "...the issue is not health care, it's freedom. It's whether Obama will succeed in "fundamentally transforming" the American nation, the first leg of which is to put complete control over every individual's health into the hands of government bureaucrats.... Oklahoma passed a law to allow its citizens to opt out of Obamacare. Utah passed three resolutions.... Virginia's Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, South Carolina's Attorney General Henry McMaster and Florida's Attorney General Bill McCollum are gearing up to sue the federal government. They say the bill is unconstitutional....
"Texas opted out of Obama's pot of $4.35 billion "Race to the Top" (a.k.a. Race to the Takeover) grants to states that accept federal control of public school curriculum and standards, and Rick Perry just won an unexpected landslide in a gubernatorial primary by warning Washington, "Don't mess with Texas!"
A Point of No Return? [Thomas Sowell] "With the passage of the legislation allowing the federal government to take control of the medical care system of the United States, a major turning point has been reached in the dismantling of the values and institutions of America. Even the massive transfer of crucial decisions from millions of doctors and patients to Washington bureaucrats and advisory panels-- as momentous as that is-- does not measure the full impact of this largely unread and certainly unscrutinized legislation. With politicians now having not only access to our most confidential records...how many people will be bold enough to criticize our public servants, who will in fact have become our public masters?...
"The ruthless and corrupt way this bill was forced through Congress on a party-line vote, and in defiance of public opinion, provides a road map for how other 'historic' changes can be imposed by Obama, Pelosi and Reid.... What will it matter if Obama's current approval rating is below 50 percent among the current voting public, if he can ram through new legislation to create millions of new voters by granting citizenship to illegal immigrants?"
Disinformation Rising. Obama math: Premiums Will Go Down 3,000%: [Video] "Let’s say an employer pays $4,000 in health care premiums for an employee. If his premium goes down 100% he will save $4,000 dollars. If it goes down 3,000% that is a savings of $4,000 x 30 which = $120,000. Which means that an employer will make a $120,000 profit on each employee’s healthcare insurance once Obama-care is passed. You can buy a lot of unicorns with $120,000."What's Next for GOP, Health Care Bill Opponents: “'As soon as this bill is signed into law... the State of Florida will file a lawsuit against the federal government, against a number of agencies and the President, to have the U.S. Supreme Court ultimately declare this bill unconstitutional.'...'There are two grounds for it....You are required to buy a health insurance plan, and if you don’t buy it, you’re going to have this penalty. There’s no connection to commerce, there’s no basis under the Constitution that any of our experts can see for the Congress to be able to impose that on an individual.'
"And then there’s a question of the manipulation of our states and our resources by the federal government in unprecedented ways -- ways that violate the sovereignty in our Constitution... the 10th Amendment,' McCollum said. 'So we will sue, I think we will win this suit ultimately because I think it’s very wrong, it’s unconstitutional and we have a lot of states’ attorney generals who agree with me on this.'...
"South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster [said]... 'It’s essentially a direct tax on the people for which there is no authority.'...Attorneys General Wayne Stenehjem of North Dakota and Lawrence Wasden of Idaho have both expressed interest in joining a Commerce Clause challenge to the individual insurance mandates." Reinventing Federalism: "It’s no secret that Clinton, like England’s Prime Minister Tony Blair and other European leaders, envisions a Third Way (Notice the US-UK flag at this website) of governing people and land in the 21st Century. To finish what he has effectively begun, he cannot be encumbered by the traditional balance between state and national powers. So he rewrites the rules, paving the way to a global management system that would rule by -

2. federal regulations (based on UN guidelines for sustainable development)
3. consultation or facilitated dialogue and an illusion of consensus."
Health Care Vote Set to Expose the Myth of the 'Pro-Life Democrat': "Phyllis Schlafly...made the following remarks...: 'Perhaps Mr. Stupak and his fellow pro-life Democrats forget that President Obama's first Executive Order was the repeal of the Mexico City Policy to allow for international funding of abortion.'
"Not only would an Executive Order be rendered meaningless in the face of Congress passing legislation which actively provides for the massive expansion and funding of abortion services, but anyone who doubts the abortion tsunami which awaits this bill becoming law lives in a fantasy world.'
"Barack Obama has lined every existing federal agency with the most dedicated pro-abortion ideologues, and we know that he will continue this pattern of pro-abortion appointments when it comes time for him to fill the over-100 bureaucracies created to administer his socialized health care program.'" SeeGod's Warnings for our Times
House passes Obama-backed health bill: "The bill is riddled with provisions that predictably will result in federal subsidies for private insurance plans that cover abortion.... Earlier on March 21, a small group of House Democrats, led by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mi.)... agreed to vote for it after the White House released the text of an executive order that President Obama will issue after the bill is enacted.... 'The executive order promised by President Obama was issued for political effect.... It does not correct any of the serious pro-abortion provisions in the bill. The president cannot amend a bill by issuing an order, and the federal courts will enforce what the law says.'" See Corruption
Talking Points vs. Realty [Thomas Sowell]: "Barack Obama has gotten a substantial segment of the population to believe that he can add millions of people to the government-insured rolls without increasing the already record-breaking federal deficit. Those who think in terms of talking points, instead of realities, can point to the fact that the Congressional Budget Office has concurred with budget numbers that the Obama administration has presented.... In politics, however, you can say all sorts of things that have no relationship with reality....
"Fraud has been at the heart of this medical care takeover plan from day one. The succession of wholly arbitrary deadlines for rushing this massive legislation through, before anyone has time to read it all, serves no other purpose than to keep its specifics from being scrutinized-- or even recognized-- before it becomes a fait accompli and 'the law of the land.'"
A Way Out of Soviet-Style Health Care: In Alexander Solzhenitsyn's words: Lyudmila: "All right, but how many of these family doctors would be needed? They just can't be fitted into our system of universal, free, public health services."
Dr. Oreschenkov: "Universal and public—yes, they could. Free, no."
Lyudmila: "But the fact that it is free is our greatest achievement."
Dr. Oreschenkov: "Is it such a great achievement? What do you mean by 'free'? The doctors don't work without pay. It's just that the patient doesn't pay them, they're paid out of the public budget. The public budget comes from these same patients. Treatment isn't free, it's just depersonalized..." See Solzhenitsyn't Warning
Obamacare: Driving Doctors Out of Medicine: "A survey–published in the New England Journal of Medicine!, not a conservative blog site–found that huge numbers of doctors worry they will be forced–or will want–to leave medicine if Obamacare passes. From the story: ...'46.3% of primary care physicians (family medicine and internal medicine) feel that the passing of health reform will either force them out of medicine or make them want to leave medicine.'"
Health-care 'trickery' called overthrow of Constitution: "America's system of government based on the U.S. Constitution is being overthrown through illegal legislative 'trickery' Congress is using to pass controversial health-care reform.... At issue is the possibility that reforms pushed by President Obama and other Democrats will be approved without ever actually having a direct vote, but could be 'deemed' to have been passed, then signed into law by Obama."
Cahill bashes state -- and national -- health care reform law: "If President Obama and the Democrats repeat the mistake of the health insurance reform here in Massachusetts on a national level, they will threaten to wipe out the American economy within four years."
Project to get transplant organs from ER patients raises ethics questions: "In the hope of expanding a controversial form of organ donation into emergency rooms around the United States, a federally funded project has begun trying to obtain kidneys, livers and possibly other body parts from car-accident victims, heart-attack fatalities and other urgent-care patients....
"For decades, most hearts, lungs, kidneys, livers and other organs obtained for transplants in the United States have come from patients who have been pronounced dead in a hospital after a complete cessation of brain activity, known as brain death, was carefully determined. But because thousands of people die each year waiting for organ transplants, the federal government has begun promoting an alternative that involves surgeons taking organs, within minutes, from patients whose hearts have stopped beating but who have not been declared brain-dead."
Obama family health care fracas: "...consider the implications of Obamacare's financial penalty aimed at your doctor if he seeks the expert care he has determined you need. If your doctor is in the top 10 percent of primary care physicians who refer patients to specialists most frequently - no matter how valid the reasons - he will face a 5 percent penalty on all their Medicare reimbursements for the entire year. This scheme is specifically designed to deny you the chance to see a specialist.....
"Many doctors will try to avoid the sickest patients, and others will simply refuse to accept Medicare. Already, 42 percent of doctors have chosen that route, and it will get worse....
"Price controls have failed spectacularly wherever they've been tried.... Medical care is not immune from this economic reality. We cannot hope that our best and brightest will pursue a career in medicine, setting aside years of their lives - for me, 13 years of school and training - to enter a field that might not even pay for the student loans it took to get there."

Appeals for calm after Nigerian sectarian slaughter: "UN chief Ban Ki-moon and Washington led calls for restraint on Monday after the slaughter of more than 500 Christians in Nigeria, as survivors told how the killers chopped down their victims.... Survivors said the attackers were able to separate the Fulanis from members of the rival Berom group by chanting 'nagge', the Fulani word for cattle. Those who failed to respond in the same language were hacked to death.... Churches were among the buildings that were burned down....

Hidden Dangers: "It's all supposed to be voluntary, those 'home visits' that are tucked into the mammoth Obamacare bill... Is your family being 'targeted' for such home visitations? Let's see if you fit...
• Families where Mom is not yet 21. (No mention here whether she is married or not.)
• Families where someone is a tobacco user. (Does this include the White House?)
• Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities...
• Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces....
Alice in Health Care: (Thomas Sowell) "What is the biggest complaint about the current medical care situation? 'It costs too much.' Yet one looks in vain for anything in the pending legislation that will lower those costs. One of the biggest reasons for higher medical costs is that somebody else is paying those costs, whether an insurance company or the government.... Back when the 'single payer' was the patient, people were more selective in what they spent their own money on.... But, when someone else is paying, that is when medical care gets over-used -- and bureaucratic rationing is then imposed, to replace self-rationing." ObamaCare at Ramming Speed: "A mere three days before President Obama's supposedly bipartisan health-care summit, the White House yesterday released a new blueprint that Democrats say they will ram through Congress with or without Republican support. So after election defeats in Virginia, New Jersey and even Massachusetts, and amid overwhelming public opposition, Democrats have decided to give the voters what they don't want anyway. Ah, the glory of 'progressive' governance and democratic consent....
"'The President's Proposal'....manages to take the worst of both the House and Senate bills and combine them into something more destructive. It includes more taxes, more subsidies and even less cost control than the Senate bill. And it purports to fix the special-interest favors in the Senate bill not by eliminating them—but by expanding them to everyone." See Horrors in the Healthcare Bill
Obama Writing Health Bill to Skirt GOP Filibuster: "The president reportedly is working on health care legislation intended to reconcile differences between House and Senate Democrats that could be attached to a budget bill and pass with only 51 Senate votes. ....By piggybacking the legislation onto a budget bill, Democrats would be able to advance the bill with a simple majority of just 51 votes, averting a Republican filibuster in the Senate."
That rock in the health-care road? It's called the Constitution: "Would it be constitutional for the government to legislate compulsory calisthenics for all Americans? If not, why not? If it would be, in what sense does the nation still have constitutional, meaning limited, government? ...conservatives take their bearings from the proposition that government's primary purpose is not to organize the fulfillment of majority preferences but to protect preexisting rights of the individual — basically, liberty." SeeA Common Sense Bill of Non-Rights
Government Corruption. Obama's $59 billion giveaway to unions: "It is unconscionable that $59 billion will be extracted from taxpayers and others to subsidize labor unions. The Obama administration and Congress are now planning on taking $15 billion more from hospitals and $10 billion more from pharmaceutical makers to cover part of this fortune."
A White House Power Grab that Congress and America Doesn’t See: "To achieve the goal of a universal, single-payer health system, the White House must secure the power it needs by amending the Social Security Act to transfer pivotal controls from Congress to the executive branch. This transfer of power would ultimately give the President and the majority party... the authority to frame and manipulate new policy, coverage options, and reimbursements, ultimately reshaping the future US health care system into a something unrecognizable in this country." See Population Control
Obama's Health Rationer-in-Chief: "Ezekiel Emanuel, health adviser to President Barack Obama, is under scrutiny. As a bioethicist, he has written extensively about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving. Dr. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. Many physicians find that view dangerous....
"Dr. Emanuel, brother of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, has already been appointed to two key positions: health-policy adviser at the Office of Management and Budget and a member of the Federal Council on Comparative Effectiveness Research.... Dr. Emanuel blames the Hippocratic Oath for the 'overuse' of medical care.... He proposes adding the communitarian perspective to ensure that medical resources will be allocated in a way that keeps society going: 'Substantively, it suggests services that promote the continuation of the polity...and ensure full and active participation by citizens in public deliberations—are to be socially guaranteed as basic.... Treating 65 year olds differently because... they have already had more life-years is not.'
"The youngest are also put at the back of the line: 'Adolescents have received substantial education and parental care, investments that will be wasted without a complete life. Infants, by contrast, have not yet received these investments."'
See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health. Under this communitarian system, would homeschooled children or Christians (who take a stand on God's truth and refuse to compromise their values) be pushed to the back of the medical waiting list?
Dems intend to bypass GOP on health compromise: "Democratic aides said the final compromise talks would essentially be a three-way negotiation involving top Democrats in the House and Senate and the White House, a structure that gives unusual latitude to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California."
