Governor to GOP - Move `a little to the left' (Registration required): BERLIN (AP) - "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger suggested in a German newspaper interview published Saturday that the Republican Party should move 'a little to the left,' a shift that he said would allow it to pick up new voters. In an interview with Germany's Süddeutsche Zeitung daily, Schwarzenegger said, 'The Republican Party currently covers only the spectrum from the right wing to the middle, and the Democratic Party covers the spectrum from the left to the middle.... I would like the Republican Party to cross this line, move a little further left and place more weight on the center.' ... He has said he would consider running for president if such an amendment [allowing a naturalized citizen to be president] passed."

Multiculturalism is failing, says German opposition leader: "'Multiculturalism is not integration,' she said. The CDU leader added that the idea of a multicultural society 'leads to [ethnic communities] living beside each other, rather than with each other'....

"Germany has the largest population of foreigners in the EU with about seven million immigrants - of whom the biggest proportion are Turkish."

"Failure" is relative to the goal. If the goal is simply integration, it would seem like a failure. Yet "redistribution of human capital" has served another purpose well: to help unfreeze cultures from Christian values and Biblical truth. This essential step provided the needed diversity for the consensus process and global solidarity . It also matches the original aims of UNESCO and the global plan for Mental Health, and provides the needed  based on pluralistic values. See The UN Plan For Global Control: A Report on Habitat II

American Freemasons end their stonewalling and put faith in PR: "After centuries of obsessive secrecy and medieval rituals, Freemasons have turned to the modern arts of public relations and advertising for an unprecedented recruitment campaign in America. ... Freemasonry, which has its roots in the guilds of stonemasons who built the castles and cathedrals of the Middle Ages, has historically shied away from public exposure and relied on a code of signs and rituals at meetings held behind closed doors....

"The special handshakes, the recitations and the rolled-up left trouser leg are here to stay. ... But we do want to attract new members. And we believe there is a generation out there who want to get involved with a value-based organisation again.'"

Freemasonry is like a set of concentric circles. The outer rings are conspicuously oriented toward community service and PR. The innermost circles hides the pagan rituals and globalist agenda. See symbols, and search that page for "mason."

Equality--like training a dog: "The sociologists have been working on this type of unity and equality in our country for well over 150 years. It has taken a great deal of work and planning for them to reach the present stage of control over groups, over education, and over political decisions....
Converts are made at lesser intellectual levels because it is difficult to understand bondage when there are no visible chains, and when seduction is accomplished by the bearers of gifts....
"True principles have been obscured by political oratory, and counterfeit values have been substituted for moral behavior and strong character...
"Equality as an ideal never can be realized -- only emotionalized and held before the eyes to dazzle and blind the vision. But an emotional commitment to an ideal that cannot be realized is what is needed to enslave. Sociologist Benjamin Kidd explained: 'The science of the emotion of the ideal is the science of power in civilization.... It is this creation of the ideal, and the organization of the minds upon which it is imposed into the collective will, that constitute the first objective in the science of power in the future of the world.”
"EQUALITY is spying on other people to be sure they have not become unequal. ...
"EQUALITY is having no more joy than anyone and as much sorrow as everyone."

Global campaign wants to mobilize Christians to combat poverty: "The campaign... represents more than 3 million congregations worldwide and 260 Christian relief and development organizations, including the Baptist World Alliance and Baptist World Aid. But those groups don't plan to fight poverty alone, said Michael Smitheram of England, international coordinator for the Micah Challenge. Instead, they are 'calling on their [political] leaders to live up to a promise they have already made.'... He referred to the United Nations-approved Millennium Development Goals.... Those eight goals represent 'kind of a benign framework [Christians] can get behind,' he said...

"It will require commitment to all eight U.N.-adopted goals: to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger; achieve universal primary education; promote gender equality and empower women; reduce child mortality; improve maternal health; combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases; ensure environmental sustainability; and develop a global partnership for development." Rick Warren: a philosophy of leadership: "Nothing happens until someone provides leadership for it. This is a law of life.... [It is? It's certainly not a law of God!]

"...the Civil Rights movement was making little progress until a man came along named Martin Luther King, who said, 'I have a dream.' He then provided leadership. ...

"The test of leadership: 'Is anybody following?' If you want to know whether you're a leader or not, simply look over your shoulder. My friend John Maxwell says, "He who thinketh he leadeth and hath no one following him is only taking a walk." See the next link:

Living Leadership: "John C. Maxwell, a best-selling author and leadership authority, will help you map a Leadership Action Plan that will translate insights and principles from Living Leadership into the daily practices that will ignite your leadership. You’ll craft a comprehensive plan, full of ideas and executable steps that will ensure you deliver results, the right way. This custom tool ensures that beyond inspiration, your execution will be lifted...."  Maxwell pastored a large church in California. Is there any place for God in his current formula for success? This web page continues:

"Living Leadership unites an unprecedented lineup of executives, world leaders, and gifted communicators for audiences gathered in board rooms and universities across the country: Donald Trump... Mikhail Gorbachev, President of the Soviet Union from 1985-1991; 1990 Nobel Peace Prize winner; and 1990 Time Magazine 'Man of the Decade.'... Peter F. Drucker... the Father of Modern Management. ...

"Living Leadership attendees can expect to walk away with a vision for where they want to take their team...."

Notice that this is not a Christian group. Therefore their respective visions match the world's system -- not God's will or purposes. Today's churches call for visions and a "visioning process," but their demands for motivating visions do not mean that God supplies the visions "needed" for their strategic or transformational leadership.

The tyranny of visions: "Visions are powerful things. For some people, visions make facts unnecessary and can even over-ride facts to the contrary. In the years leading up to the Bolshevik revolution in Russia, Lenin developed a whole vision of the world of the past, the present, and the future. ... Lenin was just the first of the great vision-driven dictators of the 20th century. Like Hitler and Mao after him, Lenin was prepared to sacrifice the lives of millions of human beings on the altar to his vision.

"Even in democratic nations, there are people who can impose their vision on other people, with no consequences for being wrong and no requirement that they prove themselves right. Social workers have for years tried to stop white couples from adopting orphans from minority groups because that goes against their vision. They don't need a speck of evidence to back up their preconceptions." See the next link:

Socialism - A con game of economic elite: "While we have been led to believe that socialism is a 'share-the-wealth' program, nothing could be further from the truth. The Rockefellers, Fords and Kennedy's have no intention of dividing up their own wealth with anyone. Their personal riches are protected in family trusts and tax-exempt foundations so that they pay little or nothing in taxes. These hypocrites talk about their concern for the downtrodden by promoting every socialist program imaginable in order to increase YOUR taxes. If these people really cared about the poor, shouldn't they be willing to set an example by giving away their own fortunes instead of yours?...

"Socialism is not a share-the-wealth program at all, but a way for the very rich to be able to protect their own wealth and at the same time to be able to control yours! The goal of socialism is power. It is a con game to get people to surrender their freedom to an all-powerful, all encompassing, collectivist government.... For many years now the power elite has had control of the main stream media, entertainment, education, our government and much more." See The Revolutionary Roots of the UN

The left's vocabulary (Thomas Sowell): "Verbal coups have long been a specialty of the left. Totalitarian countries on the left have called themselves 'people's democracies' and used the egalitarian greeting 'comrade' -- even though some comrades had the arbitrary power of life and death over other comrades.

"In democratic countries, where public opinion matters, the left has used its verbal talents to change the whole meaning of words and to substitute new words, so that issues would be debated in terms of their redefined vocabulary, instead of the real substance of the issues." The Movement to Change Society: "There are two kinds of conversions: a spiritual conversion, which every person must have—and a small groups conversion—which every pastor or church leader must have: A Christian conversion and Community conversion. Small groups are not just another program in a suite of church offerings. Small groups are the church—it's the primary way people get transformed—life on life. ... Small groups, however, are not the end, they are the means. Lifetogether is a worldwide movement that seeks to transform society through community. How will we know when society has been transformed? When the divorce rate drops, poverty levels drop, the crime rate drops, the teen suicide rate drops."

But Jesus didn't try to change the world system. He said, "My kingdom is not of this world." The World and its ways and Comment

Historical illiteracy and Antonio Gramsci: "...when the Founding Fathers of this country are mentioned at all in the 'educational establishment' the information supplied is done with derision or outright misinformation....

"Antonio Gramsci, an Italian Socialist earlier in this century, was perhaps the best exponent of the concept that to institute a new culture in a society it was first necessary to destroy the old culture. Churches are changed by having age-old doctrinal and moral teachings modernized and reduced to irrelevancy. Genuine education [in many churches as well as schools] is gradually replaced with extreme permissiveness, 'gutted' curricula and tremendously lowered standards of excellency. The mass media is used for manipulation of public attitudes and for harassing and discrediting traditional standards and institutions.

"As theologian Harold Brown stated a few years ago, 'Culture becomes a vehicle for destroying ideals and... presenting the young not with heroic examples but with deliberately and aggressively degenerate ones.'" See The International Agenda and learn more about Gramsci and education in Bush, Shultz, Gorbachev and Soviet Education

Changing Society: "A friend and fellow researcher recently sent me a disturbing article from Christianity Today entitled, 'Small Groups: The Movement To Change Society.' We share a common concern that the church is being captivated by man-made movements forwarded in the name of Christ. She co-authored an excellent article herself entitled, 'The Pied Pipers of Purpose,' which I consider a must read for anyone troubled by this latest version of Theory and Practice now underway in the postmodern church.

"One of the trademarks of this movement is a vague and duplicitous language. Its participants regularly employ terms that mean one thing to biblically literate Christians and often something else to 'seekers,' secular society and the enemies of Christ."

The next two links deal with "service-learning" -- a strategy used by large "pastoral churches" as well as public schools and service organizations to train citizens in multicultural tolerance and dialectic (group) thinking.

American Youth Policy Forum: "Located in Washington, DC, AYPF provides policymakers and their senior aides with information and experiences useful in the development of an effective youth education, training and transition-to-employment system for the United States (including formal and informal learning opportunities, internships, national community service, and other experience-based learning methodologies)."

Service-Learning and Citizenship : This area focuses on policies, methodology and programs that feature service-learning, and national and community service. Service-learning is a teaching methodology used in schools, juvenile justice programs like Youth Court, and community-based organizations to apply academic skills to solving real world problems. Service-learning is used in Learn and Serve America and can incorporate project-based learning, applied learning, contextual-based learning, and frequently involves civic engagement, character education, and tutor/mentoring. Individuals involved in national and community service volunteer their time to assist schools and communities. Programs include VISTA, AmeriCorps, Freedom Corps, Senior Corps, City Year, America's Promise, and many others." See The Draft is Back and Character Training For Global Citizenship

AYFP Policy Brief on Service

Sustainable Florida: "It is quite remarkable, but sad, to observe how easily people of all ages, occupations, intellect and description fall into line when they take part in facilitated discussions. They respond to the attention they are receiving with perfect trust. They truly believe their opinions are valued. They truly believe they are contributing a service to their church, school, or community. They truly believe they are participating in self government the way the nation's founders intended. They truly believe the outcome is influenced by the opinions they express.

"Every few hundred years in Western history there occurs a sharp transformation.... We are currently living through just such a transformation. It is creating the post-capitalist society."  Peter F. Drucker, Post-Capitalist Society (New York: Harper Collins, 1993), p. 1. Re-inventing the World

Community Connections: "Warren has characterized his purpose-driven ministry as a 'stealth movement that's flying beneath the radar and changing literally hundreds, even thousands of churches around the world.'" Spirit-Led or Purpose-Driven?

How Clinton Sold Our Children to Islam: "Islam’s number one priority is to make all the world Islam, either by persuasion or force, and during his term, President Clinton provided both by weakening our defenses and surrendering our children in public school without a whimper.... So just what DID President Clinton do? He 'negotiated.' Evidence shows Clinton cut a deal with Islamic leaders....

"Clinton colluded with secular and religious-sounding groups and based his new Presidential Guidelines on a document drafted by the American Muslim Council, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, the ACLU which owns the copyright and many of the very groups attempting to censor Christianity today....

"Clinton included assurance that all students would be coerced to attend their Muslim lessons. He went beyond the American Muslim Council/ACLU's guidelines and added a clause stripping us of parental rights and religious freedom: 'Students generally do not have a Federal right to be excused from lessons that may be inconsistent with their religious beliefs or practices.' That explains why parents cannot opt children out of these inductive classes for Islam....

"Clinton met frequently with Abdurahman AlamNoudi, executive director of the American Muslim Council who participated in the original draft. Alamoudi supports Hezbollah and Hamas."

Search is over, but the process looks suspect (registration required): "Portland Public Schools' method of choosing a new superintendent looked and acted like a public process.... Thomas Lockamy, an award-winning deputy superintendent from Norfolk, Va., was the first to address the crowd. He was humorous, knowledgeable and quite engaging.... Shortly after Lockamy began, Ann Nice, president of the Portland Association of Teachers, got a 4:23 p.m. page. It was from a Portland teacher who had heard on the radio that our new superintendent was from Pennsylvania....

"About 15 minutes later, Vicki Phillips, a state politico from Pennsylvania, entered the room with cocky confidence.... For the last year, she has served as education secretary in a state with one of the worst student academic achievement gaps.... At least two hours before Phillips made her appearance, her boss -- Gov. Edward Rendell -- announced he had accepted her resignation and congratulated Portland for making such a smart choice. Phillips was also quoted in the news release, which pointed out she would start here in August." See Brave New Schools, Chapter 7: Silencing the Opposition

U.S. Team in Baghdad Fights a Persistent Enemy: Rumors: Less than 24 hours after a bombing in central Baghdad that tore the facade off the Mount Lebanon Hotel, the rumors began circulating in the marketplaces and teahouses: that the hotel was demolished not by a bomb, as the Americans maintained, but by an errant American missile. Or, the whispers had it, the terrorist attack was actually an assassination attempt." 2 Timothy 3:1-14

Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister claims abortion and homosexuality are 'Canadian Values': "Bill Graham, Canada's minister of Foreign Affairs... claimed the pro-abortion, anti-family position as that of most Canadians. ... He went on to claim these as 'deeply held commitments that reflect Canadian values' but did not mention that there is in fact deep division among Canadians on these 'values'.

"Much of the advance of abortion and homosexuality in Canada has been imposed by [1] court-made law, [2] forcing elected government members to vote the will of the party elites and [3] decades of media and institutional propagandizing of the public."

Euphemisms: "Kansas City is establishing a 'compassion zone' for homeless people just outside the downtown freeway loop. This is an upbeat way of announcing that the downtown area and most of the rest of the city are now compassion-free zones from which vagrants and homeless people will be expelled. Many universities use the same trick to control free speech on campus. They announce small 'free-speech zones,' thus establishing 99 percent of their campuses as places where speeches and protests are forbidden." Danes restrict imams to stifle Muslim radicals: "Denmark will crack down on the immigration of Islamic preachers to try to stifle radicalism among its Muslims. A parliamentary bill does not mention the Islamic faith, but... the Danish prime minister has made the target of the legislation clear in announcing restrictions on 'foreign missionaries.'... It adds that foreign missionaries must have formal training and a close relationship to Danish parishioners." Four Faces of Islam

The secret society that ties Bush and Kerry: "Revelations that leading candidates for the US presidency were 'Skull and Bones' members have provoked claims of elitism.... Both Sen Kerry, now the Democrat front runner, and President Bush belong to the 172-year-old society, which aims to get its members into positions of power. This presidential election seems destined to become the first in history to pit one Skull and Bones member against another." See Popular Occultism

GOP slams Bush policies at retreat: "Growing frustration over President Bush's immigration plan and lack of fiscal discipline came to a head behind closed doors at last weekend's Republican retreat in Philadelphia." See Merging the Americas in a New Global Order

Standardization : "In the context of social criticism and social sciences, standardization often means the process of establishing standards of various kinds, and improving efficiency to handle people, their interactions, cases, and so forth. Examples include... establishing uniform criteria for diagnosing mental disease. Standardization in this sense is often discussed along with (or synonymously to) such large-scale social changes as modernization, bureaucratization, homogenization, and centralization of society."

Mental health also means having the right politically correct values, attitudes and beliefs. See Legalizing Mind Control

Illegals rise 15% since Bush plan: "Confirming the worst fears of those who oppose President Bush's plans to change immigration laws, U.S. Border Patrol officials report a 15 percent increase in the use of fraudulent documents at the world's busiest land border crossing. ...More than half of those caught using phony documents say the president's offer of de facto amnesty motivated them to attempt to sneak into the United States." Re-zoning the World

'Illegal immigrant' an offensive slur? "Though it might be technically accurate, calling someone who entered the U.S. in an unlawful manner 'illegal' has become politically incorrect. 'I can't speak for other immigrant groups,' activist Jerry Gonzalez told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 'but on behalf of the Latino community, many people I speak to on a day-to-day basis think it serves to dehumanize the person...." January 2004

The year of the monkey and China's new role in the world economy: "Now why is China so profitable? It is no secret that their people are being paid slave labor wages to work in their factories. With 1.4B people, their slave labor benefits all the countries of the world, thus undermining economies with higher paid employees that are forced to downsize, outsource, privatize and reduce wages. China's average wage is 20% of what is being paid to workers in Malaysia and Taiwan and 10% of what is being paid to workers in Singapore....

"Currently there are 200 million Chinese who need to be absorbed into the global workforce. This equates finding jobs for the entire U.S. or European workforce! Think of the kind of consumer spending that will have to be generated by the new emerging market countries like India in order to provide jobs for 200 million people! Think of the imbalances that will create in the U.S.!..

"While our high school students can't read, Chinese students have learned English and are becoming very IT savvy. Currently, there are 60,000 Chinese students in America. One CEO said that employees in China are fast, adapt well, are innovative and are like sponges when it comes to learning." Deut 28:15

Police call for remote button to stop cars (UK): "Police are urging Ministers to give them the power to stop vehicles by remote control.... Stopping cars remotely sounds futuristic, but the basic technology is already available...."

Call centers mushroom in India: 'Hello, y'all': "Ashwin Harithsa hurtles down a narrow, dusty lane on a two-wheeler, swipes his security card at the entrance of i-Seva and settles down in a fluorescent-lit cubicle, a headset hugging his right ear. At 7:30 every evening, Harithsa becomes 'Nathan,' a project manager working for U.S. financial giant Citibank in Bangalore, India's answer to Silicon Valley. His callers don't realize they are talking to a man on the other side of the planet.  Few Americans calling '800' numbers... would know they are calling India, the country that claims the largest share of corporate America's back office processing tasks overseas." Solana to head EU defense agency: "The agency's main task is to support member states in their effort to improve European defense capabilities in support of European Security and Defense Policy."

CDs 'could be history in five years': "Compact discs could be history within five years, superseded by a new generation of fingertip-sized memory tabs with no moving parts. Scientists say each paper-thin device could store more than a gigabyte of information - equivalent to 1,000 high quality images - in one cubic centimetre of space." Reinventing the World

EU backs biometric passports: "European Union governments last week agreed to embed computer chips containing biometric data in passports.... The US is the main driver for biometric passports, the International Herald Tribune reports. A European Commission official told the paper that EU governments are bound by a timetable set out by the US government after September 11. "

Flexibility, not federalism, is key to this competitive new world: "Europe's low growth, its 14 million unemployed, and the productivity gap with the United States all underline the same challenge: can we move from the old inward-looking trade bloc to a flexible, reforming, open and globally oriented Europe – able to master the economic challenge from Asia and America?...

"Third, global Europe cannot afford the old social model which means that 40 per cent of Europe's unemployed, in contrast to five per cent of America's, are long-term unemployed." Reinventing the World

Mountain May Be Named for Schwarzenegger: "Arnold Schwarzenegger, who scaled to the top of California politics, could now get a mountain named after him in the former Soviet republic of Georgia.... Georgia, which borders Russia and Turkey, invited Schwarzenegger to visit in the past, but the actor-turned-politician was unable to make it.... 'Now, congratulating him on his win, we are again inviting him to visit us...,' Shashiashvili said. 'We want to establish close contacts with California.'" (AP 10/10/03)

Swarzenegger: "Former U.S. Secretary of State George P. Shultz will co-chair an Economic Recovery Council for Arnold Swarzenegger's gubernatorial campaign....

"Shultz... was secretary of state from 1982 to 1989 in the first Bush administration and previously served on President Reagan's Economic Policy Advisory Board. During the Nixon-Ford presidencies, he was Treasury secretary from 1972 until 1974 and secretary of labor from 1969 until 1970. The other co-chair is the council will be democrat billionaire, Warren Buffett." See Comment and Bush, Shultz and Gorbachev

World Marvels at Schwarzenegger's Victory: "From Moscow to Arnold Schwarzenegger's hometown, the world marveled Wednesday at his victory in California, viewing it as a uniquely American political triumph with more suspense than a Hollywood script.'''

Schwarzenegger builds team from left, right: "The 67-member team, headed by Rep. David Dreier, California Republican, is made up of 'people from the left, people from the right and people from the center.... It will be a diversified Cabinet,' said Mr. Schwarzenegger. 'I know exactly what the people want.'... [He does?]

"Among the Republican political veterans on Mr. Schwarzenegger's transition team are former California Gov. Pete Wilson, former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan and former Reagan administration Secretary of State George Shultz." See Bush, Shultz and Gorbachev

September 2003

Federal Workforce Is Largest Since 1990: "In a reversal of years of downsizing, about 12.1 million people worked for the federal government in 2002, according to the study by the Brookings Institution's Center for Public Service. That is more than at any other time since 1990, when the figure was 12.6 million.... 'It's the end of the end of the era of big government,' said Paul C. Light."

That's right! The era of big government -- around the world -- has begun. See Reinventing the World

August 2003

State must cover [medical] care for illegals: "The Arizona Supreme Court has rejected a plea by the state's Medicaid provider to limit medical coverage for illegal immigrants to emergency room and acute care....

"Critics of providing unlimited medical care to illegals argue many of them use emergency departments as clinics, a practice that not only can delay care for others but, since E.R. care is more expensive, can also raise the overall costs of operating a hospital....

"'...because America is now deluged with illegal immigrants like it has never been – 8 million by the most recent government estimate – the cost to taxpayers, even for emergency medical treatment, has skyrocketed....  [F]ederally-mandated health care to illegal immigrants is between $1.5 billion and $2 billion annually." See Reinventing the World

Illegals busting education budget - hurting American kids: "An immigration reform group says in a new study it costs states more than $7.4 billion a year to educate illegal aliens....'With state budgets in crisis and children taking the hit, communities' limited tax dollars are being diverted to accommodate mass illegal immigration." This is the chaotic reality of global education. See Molding Human Resources for the Global Workforce

Big government conservatism: "...we have been hearing a lot about how neoconservatism underpins the Bush administration's foreign policy, especially the war in Iraq. Now, some neoconservatives are saying their philosophy underpins the administration's domestic and economic policy as well....
"In the mid-1970s, Mr. Kristol gave up on reforming the Democratic Party, perceiving a better chance of reforming the Republicans.... Kristol explains what he was trying to do: 'To convert the Republican Party, and American conservatism in general, against their respective wills, into a new kind of conservative politics suitable to governing a modern democracy.' Most importantly, this meant making peace with the state — accepting the inevitability of big government, but using conservative insights to improve its operation."

Betrayal at the Top: The Record of the American Civil Liberties Union: "....the ACLU is famous defending all kinds of pornography...

"...strange conclusions result from the group's tendency to view the concept of rights as pertaining not to all individuals and what they have the right to do, but rather to groups who use government to take away from others the things they think they deserve. Unlike the authors of the U.S. Constitution, the ACLU views our rights as demanding the fruits of another's labor rather than the opportunity to earn them ourselves....

"its Executive Director and moving spirit until 1950 was Roger Baldwin..... he was quoted as saying, 'I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control by those who produce wealth. Communism is, of course, the goal.' He gave this advice in 1917 to an associate who was forming another group: 'Do steer away from making it look like a Socialist enterprise...We want also to look like patriots in everything we do....'

"It should not be surprising to note that Baldwin was active during the 1930's in quite a few of the Communist Party's United Front organizations.... ACLU activists William Z. Foster and Elizabeth Gurley Flynn would later become leaders of the Communist Party, U.S.A....  Despite this partisanship, the ACLU and its affiliated tax-exempt foundation continue to receive substantial yearly support from the Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie... and other foundations." U.N. Wants to Spread Its Tentacles to Churches: "At the next meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations in September, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of the Philippines is to present a formal proposal for the establishment of an Inter-religious Council at the world body. It would be an institutional part of the United Nations, with status like that of the U.N.'s Economic and Social Council.... Arroyo suggested the United States might want to co-sponsor the proposal. Bush, a practicing Christian with a keen sense of the power of religion, expressed deep interest....

"'...the effort must also encompass Buddhists, Hindus, Confucians and Jews, heads of churches, temples, synagogues and mosques, political leaders as well as representatives of global civil society.' ....the United Nations has already granted observer status to the left-leaning World Council of Churches...."

This says it all: "Broken Arrow, Oklahoma School officials remove 'God Bless America' signs from schools in fear that someone might be offended.

"Channel 12 News in Long Island, New York, orders flags removed from the newsroom and red, white, and blue ribbons removed from the lapels of reporters. Why? Management did not want to appear biased and felt that our nations flag might give the appearance that 'they lean one way or another'.

Supreme Court Sets Tone for Future of Affirmative Action: "Twenty-five years after allowing universities to consider race in admissions, the U.S. Supreme Court reaffirmed that position Monday, granting colleges the leeway to create a racially diverse student environment. The court's decision in two cases involving the University of Michigan represents a monumental victory for supporters of affirmative action, even though the justices struck down one of the admissions policies used by the university." See Reinventing the World

Faith Based Initiatives and the Bush Administration: "Under the existing charitable choice provision, as well as the new executive order, social service providers are not allowed to discriminate against beneficiaries of services on the basis of faith, but they are allowed to discriminate in hiring and in selecting board members on the basis of religious faith.

"They are not allowed to use federal grant or contract dollars to fund any 'inherently religious' activity, and they must separate 'in time or location' services funded by direct governmental aid from 'inherently religious activities. But religious organizations can compete for government funding to provide public services without having to abandon 'their independence, autonomy, expression, or religious character.'" See Faith-Based Compromise

US gives India assurance on outsourcing: "The Indian government and businesses have won a major assurance from the Bush Administration on the issue of outsourcing.... A senior US official has said Washington is against any attempt by state governments to legislate a ban on outsourcing on the lines of what is being considered in New Jersey and other states."

Is your job safe?  "U.S. corporations no longer have to outsource your high-tech or information technology job to China or India. They just bring your replacement here on an L-1 visa."  Psalm 62:5-8

Europe's aging population revolts at longer work and lower pensions: "'My husband's a teacher, he feels exactly the same. All our working lives we've been planning around that [retirement] date, and now suddenly we're not going to be able to stop. What do they expect us to do? Die on the job?' ....

"At issue is the sustainability of pay-as-you-go state pension systems in which those in work pay the pensions of the retired rather than, as many fondly imagine, putting a nest-egg away for their own retirement."

Few nations can long sustain a culture of dependence on cradle-to-grave welfare and government control. Yet, that's where the global community is headed. United Nations'Millennium Goal

Goodbye, Chocolate Factory: "After more than a hundred and two years in Fulton New York, the Nestle company shut down its very first Chocolate factory in the United States, putting more than 417 men and women out of work. ...For years, these employees put forth every effort, met every demand, and fought every fight possible, to save this factory. Each and every time the Company raised the bar, the employees met the challenge. This was not enough for Nestle."

The new world order will bring unthinkable changes, but God will take care of His own. Philippians 3:11-13

International affirmative action: "...the benefits of affirmative action programs go to only a small minority within the groups that are supposed to benefit from them....

"Perhaps the most ominous common pattern has been a backlash by others who resent the special preferences given to particular groups. In India, violence against Dalits [untouchables] has escalated in the wake of preferences on their behalf -- preferences which, ironically, relatively few Dalits are able to take advantage of."

US 'faces future of chronic deficits': "..the US currently faces a future of chronic federal budget deficits totalling at least $44,200bn in current US dollars. ...The study asserts that sharp tax increases, massive spending cuts or a painful mix of both are unavoidable if the US is to meet benefit promises to future generations. It estimates that closing the gap would require the equivalent of an immediate and permanent 66 per cent across-the-board income tax increase."

Wonder if this could be one of the consequences of today's mockery of God and rejection of His truth.

Ancient and Modern: "...with the debate on a referendum over the European constitution in full swing, and the term ‘parliamentary democracy’ being bandied about... it is time to remind readers again how meaningless the term ‘parliamentary democracy’ actually is.

"...every state these days has claimed to be ‘democratic’ — Saddam’s Iraq, Stalin’s Russia, Mugabe’s Zimbabwe, all glorious democracies. The term ‘parliamentary democracy’ is notably fatuous: a transparent contradiction in terms." See A Global Democracy

New Urbanism Doesn't Speak to Western Towns: "It's hard to tell whether New Urbanism best fits the definition of a cult or a conspiracy. It has elements of both.....

"New Urbanism is the name given to a collection of ideas about land-use planning ....It seeks to recreate the 'traditional neighborhoods' that were once common in American cities and are still a feature of many urban areas whose layouts predate the automobile. Such neighborhoods typically include a mix of commercial and residential properties, have high densities that make for vibrant public spaces, and are arranged to favor pedestrians over motorists....

"New Urbanism does not require donning saffron robes or chasing flying saucers, but it does have charismatic apostles, sacred texts and the promise of salvation, and that lends a messianic quality that is both tiresome and silly....

"New Urbanists believe their approach will let us have growth and wildlife, development and open space. We can make housing affordable and promote economic development in an environmentally friendly, socially responsible way that fosters community and encourages civic virtue. We'll be healthier, because we'll abandon our SUVs and walk to work. We'll be better off mentally, because proper architecture will feed our psychic needs....

"Environmentalists get to envision a society made over according to their agenda, with high-density, automobile-free cities surrounded by open space and wildlife habitat. Identifying sprawl as the one true evil allows the greens a strong voice in the planning proccess...."

This silent revolution, touted and established by Clinton, is well under way across America. Inspired by the UN vision for Sustainable Development (The 3 E's: Economy, Equity and Environment), it has taken on a life of its own. See A Third Way

EU must guard against security creep: "George Orwell would surely have been impressed by the linguistic capabilities of the current US administration. The influential English writer invented the term 'newspeak' in his famous novel 1984, describing the co-option of language for political purpose." Homeland Security

Smart growth told 'No go' in Langlade County, Wisconsin : "...sometimes free money isn't the best money.... On a 15-6 vote, supervisors rejected a $234,000 comprehensive planning grant from the Wisconsin Department of Administration, suggesting that the dollars might commit the county to an uncomfortable marriage to the program known as 'Smart Growth.' ....

"But Jacobus said the county is refusing money that towns interested in planning, need."

Of course. They system is fueled by state and federal funds with strings attached. Remember, in government by "partnerships" and networds, the stronger partner will rule. This is explained in Homeland Security and the Transformation of America.

Changing our organizations to change the world: “'How do we get a critical mass of people doing things differently? Through the sharing of generative ideas, ideas that can change how people think and act. An idea has started to creep into the public consciousness that we are much more interdependent than we ever used to be. What we as a planet need in order to transform how our large systems work is a network of people spreading ideas of interdependency and sustainability.' —Peter Senge."  See Peter Senge's part in transforming churches in Re-Inventing the Church - Part 2

March 2003

The next two links illustrate how churches are reinventing themselves through the new global "systems management" structures. Notice some of the buzzwords below [We hope to write a glossary of the Total Quality Management terms that define this revolutionary transformation of God's churches]:

Managing change (in the Church). Leadership Development Ministries: "This survey was developed by Christian Schwartz, founder and director of the Institute for Natural Church Development. Schwartz has done extensive global research and discovered eight quality characteristics of healthy, growing churches..."

      Introduction to Continuous Quality Improvement
1: "Introduction to Quality Improvement - Understanding Quality Revolution as Developed by Edward Deming"
2: "System Process and Relationships - Understanding Customer and Supplier Relationships"
3: "Better Team Meetings...."
See Re-Inventing the Church and Reinventing the World and the next link:

Biotic Principles: "Schwartz observed 'biotic' (not bionic) principles in healthy, growing churches. Biotic means 'having to do with life or living organisms.'... Here are the 'Biotic Principles' we studied ...

"Interdependence: The people, groups, ultimately congregations, of the kingdom are connected to each other in a larger system. Changes in one ministry will affect other ministries in the church and community. "Multiplication: Healthy organisms do not grow endlessly, but reproduce themselves.

"Energy transformation: Momentum or energy already flowing, whether positive or negative, can be redirected to accomplish God’s purposes...."

The Changing Church. Surprisingly Few Adults Outside of Christianity Have Positive Views of Christians: "Just less than half - 44% - said they have favorable opinions of ministers, with only 9% having a negative opinion of the group. Born again Christians ranked third, with one-third (32%) saying they had a favorable impression of the group, and half as many (17%) indicating an unfavorable impression.... less than half of the non-Christian public has a favorable impression of any of the three religious groups evaluated."

Small wonder! Not only does Hollywood and the news media love to ridicule pastors and feature demeaning stories about Christians, the Western church has walked in the footsteps of a corrupting culture. Worst of all, we are not even ashamed. Jeremiah 6:13-15 and Statistics for the Changing Church

February 2003

The subtle side of gradualism: "Government established the so-called Federal Reserve system (which isn't federal at all) on December 23, 1913 when a group of powerful elected officials in Washington, D.C. stayed behind to vote while the others had left for home for the Christmas break. ...it was the most protracted theft in history. But it certainly did prove that the slow, sure, approach -- the subtle side of gradualism - will work because people forget...."

On Transmitting Values: "'Communitarianism does not uphold the individual's rights at all costs, nor does it impose moral solutions in an authoritarian way,' Amitai Etzioni, founder of Communitarianism, explains. Instead, it is rooted in the beliefs that 'strong rights presume strong responsibilities' and that 'moral standards should be based on consensus.' In this interview with Educational Leadership, Etzioni explains the Communitarian agenda for schools." Rom 12:2-9

This is old but more important now than when written. It shows the idealized side of the Communitarian [neo-communist] agenda -- the Third Way -- which has won much support among "conservatives" as well as "liberals" in Washington. Another article shows a more balanced picture:  A Third Way to a Good Society

Seeing Red. "I’m referring, of course, to the Homeland Security Advisory System.... currently at 'High Alert Orange' and only one level below 'Severe Alert Red', is proving to be quite an effective tool for spreading fear and panic - which, in my estimation, is by design. Why would they do such a thing?" While Paul Proctor answers this question in his article, we hope to post some vital evidence and documentation next week in a new article on Homeland Security. Meanwhile, here are 3 sets of relevant excerpts: Using dissatisfaction (crisis) to produce social change

The union that killed education: "Here are some course listings in the education department at the University of Massachusetts: Embracing Diversity, Diversity and Change, Oppression and Education, Introduction to Multicultural Education, Black Identity, Classism, Racism, Sexism, Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual Oppression, Jewish Oppression, Oppression of the Disabled, Erroneous Beliefs....

"Schools of education have turned teachers into agents of the therapeutic state.... Indoctrination and social reconstruction have replaced the traditional emphasis on reading, writing and arithmetic." See Chronology of the NEA - The Socialist Vision and Global Connections of the National Education Association.

Blessing Children as They Are Intended to Be Blessed: "Public schools in Jackson, Mississippi, are encouraging faith-based groups to get more involved. Currently about 19 churches and religious groups are involved in the city's schools, but the district held a summit earlier this week to invite more. The keynote speaker was Harrison Clark, with the U.S. Department of Education's Center for Faith-Based and Community Interests.

Jackson school superintendent Dr. Earl Watkins says '... [the separation issue] does not prevent you from being a good mentor... from assisting us in dealing with truancy issues or helping us to find out where children are...." Do you wonder why government schools which ban all signs of Christianity would collaborate with churches? See Reinventing the World

Public Security Bureau - Notice about the Distribution of the Work Plan on Terminating Illegal Christian Activities: The Work Plan on Terminating Illegal Christian Activities is now distributed. You are all required to implement it and make careful arrangements as soon as possible. Your work shall be reported to the Public Security Bureau of the City of Baoding.... [The equivalent of Homeland Security in the USA?]

"To... create a sound and secure social environment, in light of the demand of the meeting on Christian issue in our city, a concerted citywide action will be taken....  We need to rely upon the Party Committee, the grassroots organizations and people, bring the functional role of the public security authorities into full play... eliminate illegal religious activities, contain their spread, crack down on cultic activities being conducted in the name of Christianity, and safeguard the social stability of our city....

"The action to terminate illegal Christian activities will fall into four stages, namely, publicity and education, investigation, termination and summarization.... Strengthen the publicity and education to believers and non-believers through bulletin, radio and TV stations of counties and towns, helping them realize the malign influence of illegal Christian activities, voluntarily report them....

"Stage of termination... close down all illegal Christian meeting places.... Ban illegal activities of freelance missionaries. ... Those who commit crimes in the name of religion should be punished by Public Security Bureau." Preparing for Persecution

(China) Government Plan Against Christians Revealed: "A top-secret government document ... outlined a four-part plan from August 20 to October 20, 2002, leading up to the meeting of the National Congress of the Communist Party. The first step was publicity and education, letting authorities know what are 'illegal Christian activities' as well as educating the public on the problem. [training the masses to see the "problem" from the government's hostile point of view]

"The next step was investigation, infiltrating the illegal Christian organizations, gaining the evidence needed as they 'prepare to terminate them.'

"The third stage of termination: 'Compulsory measures, such as subpoena, penalty, ordered confessions, detention, may be taken against those core members, stubborn members and those who provide places for illegal activities....

"In the final stage of "summarization," the PSB referred to rewards "on the basis of performance and achievement" and criticism for those who do not perform adequately."  4 Cor 2:16  More information in the first link at Yesterday's News

repeat Anti-Religious Campaigns: "The Soviet Union was the first state to have as an ideological objective the elimination of religion. Toward that end, the Communist regime confiscated church property, ridiculed religion, harassed believers, and propagated atheism in the schools....

"After Nazi Germany's attack on the Soviet Union in 1941, Joseph Stalin revived the Russian Orthodox Church to intensify patriotic support for the war effort.... But in 1959 Nikita Khrushchev initiated his own campaign against the Russian Orthodox Church and forced the closure of about 12,000 churches..... Members of the church hierarchy were jailed or forced out, their places taken by docile clergy, many of whom had ties with the KGB....

"Attacks on Judaism were endemic throughout the Soviet period, and the organized practice of Judaism became almost impossible. Protestant denominations and other sects were also persecuted."

Lawmakers urge changes to college admission law: "Legislators are proposing changes to the state's top 10 percent law as national attention focuses on the method Texas colleges and universities use to achieve racial and ethnic diversity."

January 2003

The Spirituality of Systems Thinking: "Whether we call it change or transformation, the two are the same. Our society is being transformed; we are in the midst of a "paradigm shift."... In state and federal documents, the process to be used by business to achieve the sustainable global environment is made very clear. It's called by several names: Total Quality Management (TQM), Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), the High Performance Work Organization (HPWO). See Reinventing the World

"TQM/CQI/HPWO is to the work environment what Outcome-Based Education (OBE, aka, systems education) is to education....The Church Growth Movement (CGM) is to the churches what TQM is to the workplace and OBE is to the schools....

"Peter Senge, in his book, 'The Fifth Discipline; the Art and Practice of the Learning Organization,' states, 'The power of the truth was no less central to early Christian thinking, although it has lost its place in Christian practice over the last two hundred years.'... Senge begins his book by saying 'The Fifth Discipline' was born one morning in the fall of 1987 during his meditation session." See Re-Inventing the Church, Part 2 and "find" Senge.

Systems Thinking -- What it is; What it hopes to accomplish: "Pick up most any book today, concerning education reform, land use planning, growth management, or environmental issues, and you will see reference made to 'systemic change' or 'systems thinking' as an integral part of the process. In this same vein, we hear people speak of 'reinventing government.' What is this? What does it mean? How does it fit in with what we are seeing happen in America today?" See also Reinventing the World

Corporations Boast of Promoting Homosexuality, Transgenderism, 'Gay' Politics: "Five corporations are being honored this month in OUT magazine for their aggressive sponsorship of homosexuality, including funding homosexual political groups and transgender activism, promoting homosexuality in the schools.... Anheuser-Busch, Kodak, ChevronTexaco, Wells Fargo and Philip Morris...." Romans 1:22-32

December 2002

Executive Order:Faith-based and Community Initiatives: "The Secretary of Agriculture and the Administrator of the Agency for International Development shall each establish within their respective agencies a Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives... coordinate a comprehensive agency effort to incorporate faith-based and other community organizations.... propose initiatives to remove barriers...." See Serving a Greater Whole and the next item:

President Highlights Compassion Agenda, Aids Faith-Based Initiatives: "I appreciate the tremendous turnout for this White House Conference on Faith-based and Community Initiatives.... Many faiths and many traditions are represented here. Yet we share the same belief that every person in need is a worthy child of God. And we share the same goal: We must bring the hope and healing of faith-based services to more and more Americans." See Faith-Based Compromise

Faith-based Partnerships: "In 2001, the Points of Light entered into a formal partnership with the Interfaith Community Ministries Network to provide administrative oversight to and for the membership network. The Interfaith Community Ministry Network (ICMN) assists congregations to engage more people more effectively through interfaith/ecumenical community ministries....  ICMN exists to: [1] Build a strong national network of grassroots service and advocacy ministries; [2] Support member ministries through a wide array of training and conference opportunities...and [4] Build a national movement to educate the public...." See Conforming the Church to the New Millennium

Bush proceeds with 'faith-based' plan: "Sidestepping Congress, President Bush took action Thursday to help churches and other religious groups better compete for federal dollars to provide social services." See Faith-Based Compromise and the next link:

Seven Principles of Transformational Leadership -- Creating A Synergy of Energy: "We are flooded with evidence of the need for societal transformation everywhere we look.... This is a time, which calls for a critical mass of transformational leaders who will commit to creating a synergy of energy within their circle of influence so new level of social, economic, organizational and spiritual success can be reached. ... To reach such heights, we will need to un-tap the leadership potential of skillful leaders who are successfully directing various organizations and systems....

"This new paradigm of transformational leadership is not just for the marketplace but also for the local and global movement of Christ. One of the most influential movements, for the advancement of the church, is the Purpose-Driven model developed by Rick Warren, Senior Pastor of Saddleback Church." See Re-Inventing the Church

Raving hedonists or environmentally concerned? "...status seeking, consumerism, self-indulgence and environmental destruction are symptoms of the problems that prosperity has brought with it....

"The debate on wolves in Norway concentrates on the conflict with farm animals.... If there is to be a strong wolf population in Scandinavia, this might necessarily affect the keeping of farm animals, because they can hardly live side by side....

"The Government points out that it wishes to give children and youths the opportunity to participate and contribute actively in the shaping and implementation of the politics for children and youths on all administrative levels. This is some of the background for establishing Network for Environment Teaching."  In UNESCO's planned "Education for All" everyone must participate. No one will be free from the pressures and peering eyes of the dialectic group." See The International Agenda & skip to the section on "Education for All.

Celebrate International Education Week: "'We have seen, during the past year, an important consensus taking shape in our communities....  I salute the U.S. Education and State departments for declaring this week International Education Week. Let us all celebrate and reaffirm our commitment to building ties of tolerance, understanding and peace in our world through international education.' Richard W. Riley, Former U.S. Education secretary." See The International Agenda

October 2002

Volunteer Center Benchmarking Measure and Program Measure: "This publication was created by the Points of Light Foundation in response to the challenges of increased accountability faced by volunteer centers across the country. It is intended to help center leaders, staff, board members, and advisory council members assess their progress and measure their success in mobilizing people and resources to deliver creative solutions to community problems." See Serving a Greater Whole

Independent Sector and United Nations Volunteers Release Toolkit on Measuring Volunteering: "As a part of the International Year of Volunteers (IYV), INDEPENDENT SECTOR (IS) has worked in partnership with United Nations Volunteers (UNV) and representatives from ten other countries to develop the Measuring Volunteering: A Practical Toolkit, a resource designed to assist countries in conducting surveys assessing their national, regional, and local volunteer levels." See Psalm 2 and Faith-Based Compromise

For Organizations: "To be successful in strengthening our culture to one of service, citizenship and responsibility, we must have the support and participation of our cultural institutions including schools, government, houses of worship, businesses and the non-profit sector.... The materials in this section include resources to help our cultural institutions advance community involvement and volunteer engagement to contribute to the cultural change that is underway across America." But what kind of cultural change?  See America's Spiritual Slide

Education and global standards: Schools & Educators: "President George W. Bush has called on all Americans to commit at least 4,000 hours—the equivalent of two years over the course of their lives—to the service of others. By serving something greater than themselves, young people will learn about their rich democratic traditions as Americans, help meet vital community needs, and become responsible and engaged citizens."

The last phrase refers to the UN goal of involving all people in the consensus process led by trained facilitators. In the next link, notice the buzzwords key to managing this "volunteer" service which has become mandatory in schools across the country:

Global Management. Measure and Evaluate Your Success: "Measurement and evaluation incorporates a myriad of informal (i.e., anecdotal stories) and formal (i.e., focus groups, surveys, questionnaires, etc.) tools and techniques. The reason why measurement and evaluation (which also incorporates tracking) has become such a hot topic and is considered a 'key component' is that it is the only way in which the 'true' success of any corporate-sponsored program, such as volunteerism, may be determined."

"By tracking, measuring and evaluating the results of volunteer, public service and giving programs and campaigns against pre-determined goals and objectives, companies are not only able to see how successful or unsuccessful their efforts are...."  The same intrusive techniques are now used in churches around the world:

The Changing Church. The numbers trap: "It’s becoming increasingly clear that the world and its Wal-Mart ways of quantity over quality have all but taken over the 21st century church. Even seemingly faithful fellowships that still claim the authority of scripture and resist affiliation with church growth institutions like Willow Creek and Saddleback are themselves being compromised into corruption by a covetous mentality that permeates the Body of Christ through the ongoing efforts of various authors, editors, televangelists, preachers, pastors, ministers, elders, deacons, teachers and laypersons who have all been instructed or influenced in some way by the CGM (Church Growth Movement) and its many ecumenical, interfaith, parachurch and church management organizations." See Re-Inventing the Church

Education and global standards: Teachers versus better schools: "Standards-based reform is America's main strategy for boosting student achievement. It undergirds President Bush's 'No Child Left Behind' act as well as the reform efforts of nearly every state and community....

"Standards-based reform rests on a tripod: academic standards, tests and accountability. The standards spell out the skills and knowledge that schools are supposed to impart and students are meant to learn. The tests ascertain how well those standards are being met. 'Accountability' means rewards (e.g. a high school diploma, a bonus, a gold star) for those who attain the standards and interventions (summer school, extra training, job loss) for those who don't. Standards-based reform thus seeks to alter the actions of students and educators so that children learn more."

The word "actions" here includes changing the way people think, what they believe and how they relate to one another in the new collective society.  See Reinventing the World Part 3: Global Standards. You may first want to read Part 1 and Part 2

Health and global standards. Oregon Considers Nation's First Universal Health Plan: "Every man, woman and child in Oregon would receive full medical insurance - no co-payments, no deductibles - under a measure on the Nov. 5 ballot that would create the first universal health care plan in the nation. The question is whether Oregonians are willing to pay higher taxes for a plan so generous it would cover even acupuncture and massage therapy.....

"Measure 23 is backed by the Cleveland-based Universal Health Care Action Network, whose spokeswoman Rachel DeGolia sees the Oregon effort as picking up where Hillary Rodham Clinton left off a decade ago with her push for universal health care."

Government-run "universal" health care is incompatible with the excellent health care Americans have learned to expect. It usually means crowded hospitals, long waits for surgery and unavailable medications. And the new health systems based on global standards include compulsory assessments and remediation for mental health. See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health

Global Action Plan Mission and History: "Founded in 1989, Global Action Plan for the Earth (GAP) is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports the development of sustainable lifestyles and livable neighborhoods in communities around the United States through service contracts with local, state and federal government agencies. The U.S. program is part of a larger international effort...

"GAP’s Sustainable Lifestyle Campaign... has also received citations and awards from the President's Council on Sustainable Development, U.S. Department of Energy, Oregon Department of Energy, utility companies, and a number of state environment and energy offices. ....

"Over the past twelve years Global Action Plan has developed a highly effective set of tools for behavior change and neighborhood-based community organizing. These empowerment tools have produced measurable results defined as behavior change and neighbor-to-neighbor recruitment." This is civil society at work behind the scenes, forming partnerships, transforming communities and implementing the UN agenda -- while doing an end-run around our representative government.
