(Jan. 31) Inside the Egyptian Revolution: "The leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood (which began in Egypt in the 1920) had initially been caught off guard by sudden and intense rise of the protests and had not been involved in planning or developing these protests. But sensing an opportunity, they decided to move decisively.... They mobilized their followers throughout the country and told them to take to the streets....

      "I know that ultimately the Lord is in charge, and this — and nothing else — is what should give us all hope. As the Hebrew Prophet Daniel once said while living under a brutal Middle Eastern dictator:

(Jan. 31) Spencer: Muslim Brotherhood Poised for Power in Egypt: "The Brotherhood now has its best chance in decades to seize power there and establish an Islamic state, which bodes ill for both the United States and its most reliable Middle Eastern ally, Israel.

    "The Camp David Accords have kept an uneasy peace between Egypt and Israel since the late 1970s; although Egypt has ignored many of its provisions (particularly regarding not allowing the dissemination of bloodthirsty anti-Semitic material in Egypt, where Mein Kampf remains a bestseller), it has refrained from attacking Israel outright and has actually reined in some Palestinian jihadist activity along the Gaza border.

    "...the Mubarak regime could collapse at any moment; the ascendant Middle Eastern ideology is the political Islam of which the Muslim Brotherhood is a foremost exponent. And that ideology is inveterately hostile to both Israel and the United States. Armed members of the jihad terror group Hamas, which styles itself in its Charter as the Muslim Brotherhood for Palestine, are reportedly crossing into Egypt from Gaza and attempting to join in Brotherhood activities....

     " The Muslim Brotherhood is also an international organization. According to a captured internal document... its goal in the United States is 'eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and 'sabotaging' its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions.'" (Jan. 30) Video: The Forgotten Refugees: "Personal testimonies of Jewish refugees still living in Arab countries. Their ancient Jewish civilization is in ruins -- and generally forgotten. In the 6th and 7th centuries, Islamic armies swept through the Middle East and North Africa, forcing Jews and other indigent people to choose either death or life as lowly dhimmies.

(Jan. 29) Israelis Are Wary of Events: "Israeli officials have remained quiet amid spreading domestic unrest in Arab states from Tunisia to Yemen, but the silence belies the concern that a weakening of pro-Western neighbors—most importantly Egypt—could destabilize the region.... Egypt is one of the only Muslim countries to keep an ambassador posted in Israel......Israel's worst case scenario involves the ascension of the opposition Muslim Brotherhood, which could strengthen Hamas, a Palestinian offshoot, in the West Bank against the U.S. backed Palestinian Authority..."

(Jan. 28) Iranian warships coming to Mediterranean and Red Seas: "Less than 24 hours after the breakdown of its nuclear dialogue with the six world powers in Istanbul, Iran announced plans Sunday, Jan. 23, to send a fleet of warships, including a home-made destroyer, on operational and intelligence-gathering missions to the Red Sea and on to the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal. UNESCO: Protect, not deny, Jewish Heritage: "There is an effort by the United Nations to delegitimize Israel by revising the historical record....The Executive Board of UNESCO has declared 2 of Judaism's holiest sites (Tomb of the Patriarchs and Tomb of Rachel) to be mosques and demand that Israel remove the sites from its National Heritage list.

    "In an effort to erase Jewish history and supersede Jewish religious sites with Islamic institutions, Muslims have intentionally built mosques upon numerous synagogues and Jewish holy sites.

     "Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office decried the ludicrous nature of the UNESCO decision: 'The attempt to detach the Nation of Israel from its heritage is absurd. If the nearly 4,000-year-old burial sites of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Jewish Nation - Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah -are not part of its culture and tradition, then what is a national cultural site?'

(Jan. 24) Zionists, Zionists Everywhere: "We are less than one month into 2011, and the intensity and ridiculousness of the accusations against Zionist (read "Jewish") interlopers has already reached a fever pitch. Most recently, the speaker of the Iranian parliament blamed the Zionists for the political uprising against the government in Tunisia, the breakup of the government coalition in Lebanon, and the splitting of the Sudan into two independent countries." (Jan. 23) Obama to withhold veto from Palestinian UN move to condemn Israeli settlements: "Israel and the US are set for a collision if President Barack Obama stands by his refusal to veto a Palestinian-Arab motion due to be tabled at the UN Security Council condemning Israel for its settlement policy in the West Bank and Jerusalem....If he did, he would be the first US president to let an anti-Israel motion go through the Security Council; building on the West Bank and even in the forty-year old suburbs of East Jerusalem would become illegal, as would also municipal, police and military actions in these places."

(Jan. 15) Netanyahu defends construction in Jerusalem: "'The State of Israel cannot be expected to forbid Jews to buy private property in Jerusalem,' the statement said. 'Just like Jerusalem’s Arab residents are allowed to buy or rent property in Jerusalem neighborhoods with a Jewish majority, Jews are allowed to buy or rent property in Jerusalem neighborhoods which have an Arab majority.' ...Hillary Clinton slammed the move, calling it 'a disturbing development which undermines peace efforts to achieve the two-state solution.'” See Jerusalem

(Jan. 12) WaPo's inconvenient truth: "In 1967,after the Six-Day War, when Israel unified West and East Jerusalem, there were some 70,000 Arabs who resided in Jerusalem. Today, there are a quarter of a million. ...Put another way, in 1967, Arabs comprised one quarter of Jerusalem's population....Arab housing construction has far outpaced Jewish construction....

     "...the Shepherd Hotel was built as a villa in the 1930s by the infamous Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Haj Amin al-Husseini, who launched his own Holocaust before Hitler in the 1920s with a series of pogroms that murdered many hundreds of Jews in the Holy Land and eliminated their presence in Hebron, Judaism's second holiest city where King David was anointed and where the Biblical patriarchs and matriarchs are buried.... Husseini went on to become Hitler's main ally in the Arab world -- his co-leader in the Final Solution.. Thus, anyone with some basic knowledge of history would conclude that there is some poetic justice in 20 Jewish families moving into the very spot of Jerusalem that once was the Grand Mufti's villa."

(Jan. 10) Muslim Apartheid Targets Christians as well as Jews in the Middle East: "Former Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat often claimed that 'Jesus was the first Palestinian shahid (martyr).'...

     "Just last month, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas made the Palestinian policy of religious apartheid crystalline: 'If there is a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, we won’t agree to the presence of one Israeli in it.'...We can only assume that Mr. Abbas means Jewish Israelis, since it’s inconceivable he’d deny the right of Israel’s 1.5 million Arab Israelis to live in a Palestinian state. And here, of course, is the irony: Israel accommodates a huge Arab (overwhelmingly Muslim) population and accords them equal rights under law, yet the Palestinians totally reject the notion of Jews living among them." (Jan. 10) Israel and the Palestinians: Irreconcilable Differences: "There cannot be a long term peace with people which practice the Islamic deception known as taquia, an Islamic provision which allows for lying to advance Allah’s cause by deceiving their enemies....Abed Rabbo, an early Arafat disciple recently stated that 'we can’t remain committed to the agreements that were signed with Israel forever.'

     "...let us begin with the post Mandate period, U.N. General Assembly Resolution 181, passed on Nov. 29, 1947; the Partition Plan for Palestine. The plan called for an end of the British Mandate and a recognition of the nationalistic aspirations of both the Jews and the Arabs by dividing Palestine into two states, with the Jerusalem and the Bethlehem area to be administered by a special international regime to safeguard access to the holy sites of the three great religions....On May 14, 1948, based upon the Partition Plan Israel declared independence. Soon after marginalizing the Palestinians in a brief civil war, five armies from Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria attacked the nascent Jewish State.

     "Hostilities ended the following year with the 1949 Armistice Agreement. But keep in mind, the war did not end, only the hostilities. The boundaries created subsequent to the fighting were not internationally recognized borders. They merely represented a demarcation line indicating where opposing armies stood when the guns went silent, an area which became known as the 'green line'....

      "...today Jews, forty four years following the recapture of this precious land, still cannot safely visit the ancient cities of their homeland such as Nablus, Jenin, or Hebron, the cradle of Judaism...

(Jan. 7) When Israeli leftists turn against their country with horrendous lies, the world media is only happy to disseminate them: "On Sunday December 19, the self-proclaimed 'Israeli human rights' group B'tselem disseminated a shocking story to the local and international media. B'tselem claimed that the previous day Palestinian shepherd Samir Bani Fadel was peacefully herding his sheep when he was set upon by a mob of Israeli settlers. He alleged that these kippah-clad Israelis drove up in a car and chased him away.     "...when questioned by police investigators, Fadel admitted he made the whole attack up.

     "On January 3, Channel 2 aired a video produced by B'tselem. The video purported to show residents of Yitzhar...throwing rocks at Palestinians....Channel 2 presented the footage as further proof...that the Israelis who live in Judea, Samaria and eastern Jerusalem are a bunch of lawless, hate-filled, violent fanatics....

     "Yitzhar residents...also filmed the event....The Yitzhar video exposes the B'tselem video as a complete fraud....

     "Not surprisingly, when scrutinized, like the story about the scorched pregnant ewes, the Yitzhar 'bullies' and the 'illegality' of the fence, these [other] allegations came apart under scrutiny."

(Jan. 5) Obama wants Jews to pay terror-supporting state: "The Obama administration has drawn up a plan for Israel to give much of the strategic Golan Heights to Syria....Areas of the territory that house Israeli industrial zones will not need to be evacuated, but Israel is expected to lease the land from Syria."

Israel gears up for attack by Iran: "Israel believes that it would have only 10 to 12 minutes' warning if Iran launched rockets but that threats from Hamas and Hezbollah are the most pressing....Iran has 300 Shihab rockets that could reach Israel. Some 1 million Israelis would be at risk from attacks from the country's enemies in the region, including Hezbollah and Hamas."

(Jan. 3) A World Against Israel: "...it now appears that the 27 incorporated states [no longer countries?] of the European Union are ready to follow the Latin American states in recognizing a Palestinian State along the 1967 borders, with France and Norway in the lead.... The dream for Arafat, and now for Abu Mazen, was to delegitimize the Jewish State and take it over – if not at once, then in stages....

    "...anti-Semitic incitement continues to be preached in Palestinian schools, mosques, and media. A new generation of Palestinians continues to be poisoned by the hatred of Jews and Israel, and members are ready to become martyrs for Allah and Palestine."

(Dec. 27) Israel’s Israel-Bashing Left: “'If there is an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, we won’t agree to the presence of one Israeli in it,' Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas told reporters in Ramallah on Saturday....

     "Even to say that Abbas’s words elicited yawns—let alone charges of racism and Nazism—among those who champion the cause of a Palestinian state would be an exaggeration... The Israeli Left, however, has been going pretty wild lately in leveling such charges—not, of course, against the respective Palestinian entities in the West Bank and Gaza but against Israel itself. And as usual, much of the venom is concentrated in the Israeli Left’s flagship publication, the daily newspaper Haaretz....And it extended the metaphor in Sunday’s editorial, charging Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu with supplying 'fuel for the fires of racism and xenophobia.'...What has prompted this latest flare-up on the Israeli Left, beyond its usual drumbeat of defamation? Mainly three things...."

(Dec. 24) Israel warns Gaza missiles could provoke new offensive against terrorists: "On Monday and Tuesday, 15 mortars or rockets were fired from Gaza into southern Israel compared to some 200 for all of 2010.... The escalation is a test for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who accused his predecessor Ehud Olmert of not responding forcefully enough to the hundreds of rockets from Gaza....Adding to the tension, Israeli military officials say that Gaza terrorists have armed themselves with Kornet missiles that can penetrate the armor of tanks."

(Dec. 22) Hamas Confessions: "Despite unprecedented efforts to avoid civilian casualties—including hundreds of thousands of leaflets, telephone calls and non-lethal, noise-making warning bombs—some civilians were killed [in the Gaza war], because Hamas deliberately hid behind civilians, using them as shields, when they fired rockets at Israeli civilians....

     "The admission by Fathi Hamad that Israel’s figures were correct and those originally offered by Palestinian groups were false exposes the rush to judgment against Israel that has stained the so-called 'human rights' community so often in the past. It is essential that...those who condemned Israel on the basis of false allegations correct the record.... In today’s distorted world of 'human rights,' truth takes a back seat to ideology, and false claims—especially those that 'support' radical ideologies—persist even after they have been exposed."

(Dec. 21) ‘Israeli War Crimes’ signs to go on Metro buses: "SEATTLE – '“Israeli War Crimes,' the enormous advertisement reads. 'Your tax dollars at work.' To the right of the image is a group of children — one little boy stares out at the viewer, the others gawk at a demolished building.... It’s an ad you’ll be seeing soon on a handful of Metro buses in downtown Seattle."<

Why the ‘Palestinians’ still suffer: "...[Hamas] is creating suffering. ...it has imposed a steadily intensifying clampdown on perceived morals crimes, beaten and killed alleged foes without trial and deliberately placed civilians in harm's way. Recent reports...describe a Hamas arms build-up featuring rockets capable of hitting Tel Aviv. ...Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said the Palestinian state must replace Israel and pledged to continue the 'shaheed project' through violent jihad.

     "Human rights groups have catalogued many of the severe social restrictions Hamas enforces in Gaza. ...'They keep people anxious and scared, and they silence any criticism of Hamas..."

(Dec. 20) Latin America Picks Palestine: "Iran has been investing heavily in Latin America, establishing strong trading relationships with countries there. Iran, in cooperation with Venezuela, have coordinated diplomatic efforts, and Iran’s Lebanese terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, has been implicated in the Latin American drug trade. Involvement in the smuggling of drugs not only runs counter to American efforts to crush the drug trade and foster good governance in the region, but also provides funds necessary to build Hezbollah’s strength as Iran’s second-strike weapon, aimed at Israel....Latin American nations are increasingly taking foreign policy positions contrary to the security interests of the United States and its allies."

(Dec. 17) U.S. House opposes unilateral declaration of Palestinian state: "Resolution urges Palestinians to 'cease all efforts at circumventing the negotiation process, including efforts to gain recognition of a Palestinian state from other nations.'"

(Dec. 15) Israel’s Fight Against Delegitimization: "...Israel is portrayed as a racist, 'apartheid' country, illegitimate, a threat to civilization and world peace.... Israel is condemned for 'illegally occupying (stealing) Arab/Palestinian land,' 'injustice towards and oppression of Palestinians,' etc. ...The goal is isolation, as a prelude to destruction; the means, delegitimization, BDS – boycott, divestment and sanctions – and media bias.

     "...a climate of hatred and condemnation against Israel....is fed by the West’s most powerful and eloquent spokesmen, including President Barak Hussein Obama."

(Dec. 14) Obama encouraging 'diplomatic assault' on Israel? : In what amounts to a diplomatic assault on Israel, Argentina and Uruguay last week announced they were joining Brazil in unilaterally recognizing an independent Palestinian state. ....The 1967 borders refer to the entire Gaza Strip, West Bank and eastern sections of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount – the holiest site in Judaism. Timmerman said the decision to recognize a Palestinian state stems from a "deep desire to see a definitive advance in the negotiation process leading to the establishment of a just and durable peace in the Middle East." Publicly, the U.S. was quick to rebuke the decision by Latin American countries. ...'In actuality, Obama is not doing anything to prevent more countries from recognizing a Palestinian state,' one PA official told WND."

(Dec. 10) Why Latin American turned [against Israel]: "...three trends... made Latin America's embrace of the Palestinians against Israel .... Those trends are the rise of Hugo Chavez, the influence of the Venezuela-Iran alliance, and the cravenness of US foreign policy towards Latin America and the Middle East.....Over the past decade Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez has inherited Fidel Castro's mantel as the head of the Latin American anti-American club. He has used Venezuela's oil wealth, drug money and other illicit fortunes to draw neighboring states into his orbit and away from the US. Chavez's circle of influence now includes Cuba and Nicaragua, Bolivia, Uruguay and Ecuador as well as Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Peru. Democracies like Colombia and Chile are also taking steps in Chavez's anti-American direction. Largely out of hatred for America, Chavez has turned to Iran as a strategic ally....

     "Iran's presence on the continent enabled it to take swift advantage of Chavez's consolidation of power. Since taking office in 2005, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has developed strategic alliances with Venezuela and Nicaragua. (Dec. 6) The Two-State Solution: A Roadmap to Conquest: "A recent poll commissioned by The Israel Project (TIP) found that '[a] majority of Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza view the two-state solution as a precursor to one state – a Palestinian state.'... According to the poll...'Palestinians have not reconciled themselves to the long term existence of the Jewish State.'''

Palestinians don't want better quality of life, they want Jews gone: "[Palestinian Authority Economic Minister Hasan Abu-Libdeh] clarified that a peace agreement in his view means a full Israeli surrender to Palestinian demands, including the removal of every Jew from Judea, Samaria and the eastern half of Jerusalem. The Palestinian Authority also wants to flood the rest of Israel with millions of so-called 'Palestinian refugees,' leading to the demographic destruction of the Jewish State."

(Dec. 3) Mass evacuations as huge blaze threatens Haifa: "Mass evacuations continued across northern Israel Friday morning as dry easterly winds fanned a massive brushfire towards the city of Haifa. Over 15,000 residents, including 600 prison inmates, were evacuated as the blaze raged out of control, devastating hundreds of acres of pine forest before sweeping down the slopes of the Carmel plateau towards Israel's third largest city."

(Nov. 30) Obama deal aids al-Qaida backers? "The WikiLeaks revelation that Saudi donors are the chief financiers of al-Qaida comes just days after President Obama quietly moved forward with plans to sell $60 billion worth of fighter jets and military equipment to the Saudis – the largest weapons sale to a nation in U.S. history.... Just last week, Obama attempted to solidify the weapons deal to Saudi Arabia, despite questions raised."

Hillary Clinton's jihad state gala: "Last month, at a gala held in Washington, D.C., U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton reiterated her wishes for the creation of a Palestinian state.... (Nov. 28) Mashaal: Resistance must be launched in West Bank : "The resistance is facing huge challenges, especially in the West Bank," Mashaal told a meeting of leading pro-Hamas politicians...."Our inalienable rights are threatened with extinction if the scene in the West Bank does not change by launching the resistance against the Israeli occupation and the settlements," he added. ....The Palestinian Authority, dominated by Fatah, intensified a campaign of arrests against Hamas after its fighters killed four Jewish settlers in the West Bank on August 31. The attack was on the eve of the launch of direct Middle East peace talks, which subsequently broke down over Israel's refusal to meet demands by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to freeze Israeli settlement building."

(Nov. 26) Why not make Jerusalem the first issue to be dealt with, and not the last? "First, Palestinian Arab study groups, backed by their political and religious leaders, declared that there was no evidence that a Jewish Temple ever stood on the Temple Mount. Now, in a just-published study, the Palestinian Authority is insisting that the Western Wall, too, has no historical connection to the Jewish people. With these outrageous lies, the Palestinian leadership is preparing to stake its claim to 'East Jerusalem:' International pressure must be brought to bear on Israel to hand over these parts of the city, which 'have no connection to the Jewish people,' so they can be made into the exclusive capital of their Palestinian state....

     "Indeed, if it becomes clear there is no give and take on '“East' Jerusalem, as certainly will become clear, then this city, as the Bible has already remarkably foretold, will become 'a stone too heavy' for all the nations of the world to lift. After years of praying diligently to return to that place where their God made His dwelling between the cherubim in the Holy of Holies, the vast majority of Jews will refuse a peace that will see that place excluded from their territory."

(Nov. 25) P.A. says Western Wall isn't Jewish: "A senior Palestinian Authority official has issued a report saying the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem has no religious significance to Jews and is in fact, holy Muslim property....Decades of archaeology have shown that the Western Wall, the holiest place where Jews can pray, was a retaining wall of the compound where the two biblical Jewish Temples stood 20 centuries ago. The Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam's third-holiest site, is built atop the ruins....The [Palestinian]report concludes that since Jews have no claim to the area, it is holy Muslim territory and must be part of Palestinian Jerusalem." Vatican synod calls for end to Israel’s ‘occupation’: "Bishops from the Middle East who were summoned to Rome by the pope demanded on Saturday that Israel accept UN resolutions calling for an end to its “occupation” of Arab lands."

(Nov. 19) Facing our fears: "US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton must have given Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu quite a reception. Otherwise it is hard to understand what possessed him to accept the deal he accepted when he met with her last week.... Clinton's demand was, 'not one more brick' for Jews, meaning, no Jew will be allowed to lay even one more brick on a home he is lawfully building even as the US funds massive Palestinian construction projects. The magnitude of this discriminatory infringement on the property rights of law abiding citizens is breathtaking....

      "...negotiations will not get off the ground because PLO leader Mahmoud Abbas has no interest in talking, and will never accept any peace offer made by Israel.... But the Obama administration doesn't care. They aren't worried about the Palestinians accepting a deal. What they want are more Israeli land surrenders."

(Nov. 17) What the Palestinian Authority buys with your tax dollars: "Two weeks ago, a Palestinian from Bethlehem was arrested by the US-financed and trained Palestinian Authority security forces. He was charged with 'carrying out commercial transactions with residents of a hostile state." No, he was not buying uranium from Iran. His purported crime was purchasing wood products from an Israeli community located beyond the 1949 armistice lines....

(Nov. 11) Obama: Blaming Israel First: “This kind of activity is never helpful when it comes to peace negotiations,” President Obama said Tuesday at a press conference in Indonesia. He was referring to approvals issued in Israel this week to build 1300 homes in two East Jerusalem neighborhoods. That is, 1300 homes for Jews. Obama would have had no problem if the announced homes had been designated for Arabs .... Indonesia—in which Obama made his remark...forbids Israeli citizens to visit. Indonesia is also one of 19 UN member states that do not recognize Israel as a state, and it does not allow overflights by Israeli aircrafts.

     "...the [US] State Department said it was 'deeply disappointed' ...EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton pronounced herself .extremely concerned,. and UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon also .expressed concern....

(Nov. 9) Poll: Young PA Arabs want Sharia Law, Seek Iran as Ally: "Respondents were slightly more flexible when asked what type of government should be in place in what was called 'historic Palestine' -- a term referring to the entire state of Israel, including Judea and Samaria. 34.7% said Islamic law [Sharia]should rule a binational state that includes Israel as well, while 20.2% said they would be willing to live in a secular state as long as it was officially Muslim. The most popular potential PA ally was Iran..."

(Nov. 6) Hamas claims 'game-changing weapons': "Israeli security officials confirmed to WND that Hamas recently was able to bring into Gaza advanced weaponry that deeply concerns the Israel Defense Forces. The information comes a week after the Nigerian secret service seized a large weapons shipment in Lagos, one of Africa's busiest ports. The capture of the arms, which included Katyusha rocket launchers, underlined fears that Iran is developing a global network for moving weapons and people. (October 10) Israel Trains To Live With SCUD: "The Israeli Air Force has increased its training of air base personnel to keep bases operating after attacks by ballistic missiles. These warheads will either be filled with high explosives, cluster bombs or chemical weapons....

    "The danger is real. Syria has underground storage and launch facilities for its arsenal of over a thousand SCUD missiles. Abbas may circumvent Israel, ask U.S. to recognize Palestinian state: "Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has told Arab leaders he may seek U.S. recognition for a Palestinian state, which would include all of the West Bank, should peace talks with Israel break down, an aide said on Saturday....."[Another] is to study the possibility of going to the [United Nations] Security Council to get a resolution that calls upon member states to recognize the state of Palestine on the 1967 borders," he told Reuters by telephone from the Libyan town of Sirte."

(October 8) Israel on war alert -- Jewish state fears Iran ally will attack: "...the Jewish state is concerned Hezbollah might try to spark a conflict to deflect attention from an international tribunal investigating the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who died in a car bomb explosion in 2005.... Hezbollah may try to carry out attacks against Israel similar to those that prompted the 2006 Lebanon War. During that conflict, Hezbollah fired constant rocket barrages into Israel, killing 43 Israelis and wounding more than 4,200. Hezbollah and Syria have attempted to discredit the U.N. probe."

(October 1) New Jewish houses have world fuming: "True to his word, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has allowed the self-imposed Jewish building freeze in Judea and Samaria (the so-called 'West Bank') to lapse and for approved construction projects there to resume. Work began on Monday on at least 2,000 new housing units and a number of new schools in Jewish communities throughout the territories the Palestinians claim for their future state....

     "Netanyahu was on the phone non-stop on Monday to listen to the complaints and expressions of disappointment from world leaders.... UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon issued a statement insisting that 'settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territory [sic], including East Jerusalem, is illegal under international law...'. Israel did not, and now we may know why: A 'cyber superweapon' had infiltrated the site’s computer networks.....

    "Iran has admitted that 30,000 of its industrial computers, including those at its Bushehr reactor, have been infected by Stuxnet, a virus described as 'a precision, military-grade cyber missile' unrivaled in its sophistication. Top cyber security experts have marveled at Stuxnet, studying it for months because it is 'too large, too encrypted, too complex to be immediately understood, it employed amazing new tricks…'

(September 29) Mr. Abbas, Tear Down This Wall! "In Cairo a little over a year ago, President Obama proclaimed 'a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world.' After reminding his Arab audience that 'six million Jews were killed' by the Nazis, he added immediately that, for their part, the Palestinians too 'have endured the pain of dislocation' and many still 'wait in refugee camps... for a life of peace and security that they have never been able to lead.'

     "...a number of commentators objected to the President’s seeming equation of the abundantly funded refugee camps run by the United Nations with Nazi death camps. Few, however, pointed out that his explanation of the plight of the Palestinian refugees was false, confusing historical cause and effect. For it is not the absence of peace that keeps Palestinians 'waiting' in refugee camps. Rather, most Arab leaders since 1948, including the current Palestinian leadership itself, insist that the refugees—originally numbering between 500,000 and 750,000 but now swollen through natural increase to over four million—must remain in those camps until allowed to return en masse to Israel. This insistence in turn makes it impossible to achieve any resolution of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, let alone a 'new beginning' in the Middle East."

(September 28) Obama warns: Support 'Palestine' or 'more blood' will flow: "Without world support for establishing an independent Palestine, President Obama warned the United Nations General Assembly today that 'more blood will be shed'... Though couched with references to Israeli security and a 'neighbors who are committed to coexistence,' Obama's observation prompted a provocative question...about the Nazi links to Islamic jihadists.'"

   Obama's warning sounds like fear-driven rather than fact-based diplomacy. Yes, Islamic jihad has a history of shedding blood. But that's certainly no reason to use intimidation as a pathway to peace!

(September 27) New Gilad Shalit Video - Real or Fake? "Gilad Shalit 24, is an Israeli soldier who was kidnapped by Hamas on 25 June 2006 in a cross-border raid. Since his kidnapping, Hamas has refused requests from the International Committee of the Red Cross to allow the ICRC to visit Shalit on the grounds that any such visit could betray the location where Shalit is being held. Worldwide human rights organizations have stated that the terms and conditions of Shalit's detention are contrary to international humanitarian law, but still no progress has been made to secure his release. In exchange for his release, Hamas demands the release of all female and underage Palestinian prisoners held in Israel, as well as a further 1,000 prisoners, a number of which are convicted by Israeli courts on terrorism charges."

(September 9) The Obama Peace Talks Sham: "The Israeli-Palestinian peace talks were inaugurated in Washington last week to much fanfare, resonating proclamations, manufactured hope and an opulent state dinner—this latter being rather more than Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may have come to expect after his miserly White House reception last March.....

     "This most partisan and indiscrete of presidents [Obama] has made it plain over the last few years that he has no love for the Jewish state.... The deal involves the sale of advanced P-800 Yakhont supersonic cruise missiles to the Syrian military. Israel considers this weaponry capable of posing significant danger to its navy vessels in the Mediterranean Sea....

    "Netanyahu called Putin on Friday.... some of the conversation centered on the arms deal with Syria. In addition to Syria's transfer of advanced Russian anti-tank missiles to Hezbollah, Netanyahu also mentioned the incident in which Syrian-acquired Chinese-made C-802 anti-shipping missiles were used by Hezbollah to target an Israeli destroyer. 'Just as you expect us to be ready to recognize a Palestinian state as the nation-state of the Palestinian people, we expect you to be prepared to recognize Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people,' Netanyahu said, adding that the more than one million non-Jews living in Israel enjoy full civil rights....

      "Abbas’ response, when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton turned the floor over to him minutes later, was that the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) had already recognized Israel – in September 1993... and then Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin had signed 'a document of mutual recognition.' ... Left unsaid was the fact that neither in 1993 nor since then has the PLO agreed to recognize Israel specifically as a Jewish state. On the contrary, Abbas and other Palestinian leaders have repeatedly rejected this Israeli requirement."

(September 1) Jews killed where Obama demanded removal of checkpoints: "Today's deadly terror attack that killed four people took place on a road where the Israeli government removed staffed anti-terror checkpoints in line with requests from the Obama administration.... As President Obama was preparing for a Washington summit with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders, Palestinian terrorists today carried out a shooting attack, killing two Jewish men and two women, one of whom was pregnant.... The attack took place in the West Bank...near the historic biblical city of Hebron....

      "Abu-Ubaida, a spokesman for Hamas' Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, stated today's shooting was 'a link in a chain-series of attacks - some have been executed, and others will follow.'....

      "...the gunmen today approached the Israeli vehicle and shot the victims multiple times at point-blank range. ...Paramedic Guy Ronen described the shooting scene...: 'When we arrived on the scene, all four doors of the car were open and four bodies were strewn on the road. We saw that the vital organs had been struck by a very large number of bullets, and that there was no chance of saving their lives.'...

      "Members of Netanyahu's entourage said the prime minister was briefed on the events and that he instructed Israel's security agencies to prepare for the possibility of further attacks aimed at disrupting the Washington summit..... Officially, Hamas took responsibility for the terror attack."

Central Israel in range of Hamas rockets: "The long-range rockets acquired by Hamas are of the Fajar-5 type....Israel is also concerned about the possibility of an arms deal being worked out between Russia and the Syrian military."

Hezbollah terrorists in America: "The report describes terrorist involvement in fundraising for so-called 'charity projects' and engaging in criminal activities such as money laundering, smuggling, drug trafficking, fraud and extortion. The report estimates that the Iranian-backed Hezbollah would likely increase in strength in the coming years inside the U.S. to the degree that it would pose as a national security threat by the year 2014. There is no record to be found of any arrests or deportations of any of these non-citizen terrorists who are quietly going about their business in our communities undetected....

      "The 38-page terrorism report further indicates that 'Hezbollah was being directed by the leadership in Lebanon as well as by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).' ...Meanwhile, the Muslim Brotherhood, funneling Saudi money into major American investments and endowments and into the mega mosques that are springing up across the country."
