The dark side of iPads coming to light: "...psychologists and counselors see more and more young people addicted to the Internet and portable electronic devices. The 'floodgates of desperate youngsters' opened in 2010, said child psychotherapist Julie Lynn Evans.... Suddenly everything got much more dangerous, much more immediate, much more painful.'...

"Children’s dependency and addiction to electronics have been worrying child-development specialists for years.

Pope praising gay children’s book: "In her book Piccolo Uovo (Little Egg), Francesca Pardi is promoting a pro-homosexuality gender theory. In the book, the an egg encounters a pair of gay penguins, lesbian rabbits successfully bringing up a family.... The book, however, was met with disapproval by Venice’s new mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, who in June banned Piccolo Uovo and about 50 other titles from schools....

"Now Pardi has found an unlikely supporter in Pope Francis, who through his staff has written to the author praising her work: 'His holiness is grateful for the thoughtful gesture and for the feelings which it evoked, hoping for an always more fruitful activity in the service of young generations and the spread of genuine human and Christian values.” See Depravity?

Video: Obama Slams Stay-at-Home Moms: "During a speech in Rhode Island today, President Obama called for more taxpayer-spending on pre-school in order to 'make sure that women are full and equal participants in our economy' and said the following: 'Sometimes, someone, usually mom, leaves the workplace to stay home with the kids, which then leaves her earning a lower wage for the rest of her life as a result. And that’s not a choice we want Americans to make." See What Happened To Parental Rights?

UK Police Arrested Parents Trying to Stop Muslims from Raping their Children: "We’re still only seeing the tip of the iceberg in the horrifying crimes committed by Muslim settlers against the children of the UK. Prof Jay wrote: “No one knows the true scale of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham over the years. Our conservative estimate is that approximately 1,400 children were sexually exploited over the full inquiry period, from 1997 to 2013."

HHS Moves Detained Border Children to California Naval Base: "The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) transported hundreds of illegal immigrant children who were stopped by US Border Patrol agents to the Naval Base Ventura County in the City of Port Hueneme. City officials claim they were not informed of the housing initiative 'until they read it in the newspapers like everyone else.' ... Watchdog Wire said that they have not received any response from an inquiry that they made to the HHS department about the children being housed there, which they maintain is a White House-driven program." New Medical Law Mandates “Private” Conversation With Child: "When Michigan mother Christine Duffy brought her 17-year-old daughter into her physician’s office for a minor foot injury, she was told that a new medical access law required a nurse to have a 'private' conversation with her child, another example of how parental authority is being eviscerated by the state.... 'The receptionist told me it’s a new law and there is no opting out....

"I was not submitting my daughter to such a conversation. ... The nurse would...inform my children that the doctor’s office is a safe place for them to receive information about STDs, HIV and birth control." See License to Seize our Children

United Nations scathing report on Vatican inaction and coverup regarding widespread church sexual abuse of children: "The United Nations demanded that the Vatican 'immediately remove' all clergy who are known or suspected child abusers and turn them over to civil authorities, in an unprecedented and scathing report on Wednesday. Church officials had imposed a 'code of silence' on clerics, to prevent them reporting attacks to police, and moved abusers from parish to parish 'in an attempt to cover-up such crimes'....
"The Holy See now needed to hand over an archive of evidence about the abuse of tens of thousands of children, and take measures to prevent a repeat of cases such as Ireland's Magdalene laundries scandal, where girls were forced to work in church-run institutions..." A Political Glossary Part IV  [Sowell]: "Time and again, children with some American Indian ancestry, who have been adopted by families that are not of that ancestry, have been suddenly taken by law from the only parents they have ever known and transferred to some distant Indian reservation, to live among strangers in a world they know nothing about. You might think that the sight of bewildered, desperate and weeping children in court, crying out for mommy and daddy as they are forcibly removed from people who have cared for them for years, might cause those who are seizing them to relent. But no! Such children are routinely sacrificed on the altar to the Indian Child Welfare Act.

"Some years ago, the chairman of the Civil Rights Commission visited a 14-year-old girl who had been removed from her adopted parents and was living on an Indian reservation, where she was miserable. But when the story came out, outrage was directed not at those who had ruined this girl's life, but at the member of the Civil Rights Commission who had dared to intrude on the sacred soil of the Indian reservation..... Similar things have happened to black children raised by white foster parents. There is no Congressional legislation in these cases, but the dogmatism of social workers and so-called social welfare departments can lead to the same results." Child Sexual Abuse: Can We Ignore it? "What is sown today will bear fruit tomorrow. In other words, what we do for or against the younger generation (children, teens, and young adults) today will be evident in how they function as Christians tomorrow. If we give them sexual abuse, deceit, sensuality, mysticism, pride, arrogance, carnality, lust, surely we must realize what this will reap in the future..." See The Church Walking with the World

Sexual “rights” for kids at the U.N.: "In late October, 2010, the Canadian delegation at the U.N. sided with Switzerland, Norway, Argentina and the European Union in 'fully and wholeheartedly' supporting a controversial and divisive U.N. report that promotes 'a new human right to explicit sexual education for young people.' ...The African and Caribbean blocs led the widespread hostility toward the report by registering their 'strong rejection' and 'strong disapproval.'...The author of the controversial report... asserts that parental authority may never run counter to the rights of children and adolescents....The proposal’s passage would:

   1) guarantee the right of children to sexual enjoyment without restraint from their parents;

   2) deny their parents the right to be involved in the sex education of their children; and

   3) deny religious bodies the right to teach abstinence and chastity."

The Sexualization of America and the World: "The socialization (vis-à-vis sexualization) of Europe is ...well promoted not only in the European Union (EU) but also in the United Nations. The Obama administration’s delegation, in lock step with the EU, has led the battle charge against traditional Christian values which uphold the sanctity of life and family." In-flight Confrontations Can Lead to Terrorism Charges: "Tamera Jo Freeman, 40, is a normal looking, suburban mom. The only thing that is different about her than most other suburban mothers, is that she spent three months in jail and had her children temporarily taken away because of her arrest and conviction for an act defined as terrorism under the Patriot Act. So what exactly did she do? She spanked her children after they began to fight with each other and spilled a drink all over her. Three swats each on the thigh. From a mom… a simple symbolic gesture…. Behave." See License to Seize Our Children

Government Permission Required For Parents To Kiss Children: "[UK] Sweeping new policies set to be introduced in the UK will mandate parents to get government permission to kiss their children or take them to the swimming pool in public, measures that are 'poisoning' relationships between the generations.... A quarter of the entire adult population of the United Kingdom will be mandated to pass a state check operated by a newly formed government agency to have any physical contact with children under the age of 16 in public - including their own kids....

"...by far the highest ratio of child abuse and pedophilia per head is found in government institutions and other state-run programs tasked with 'protecting' children.... In America, CPS workers who take children from loving homes and hand them over to child abusers are not even disciplined, while horror stories about the insane actions of Child Protective Services abound.... The agenda behind sweeping measures sold as 'child protection' is to take away parents' rights and hand them over to the state."

Dad grounds daughter, but court ungrounds her: "The father had ordered the daughter, who was not identified by the report, to remain off the Internet. She didn't, chatting on websites her father had tried to block and then posting 'inappropriate' pictures of herself online, using a friend's Internet portal. As punishment, the father refused to let her go on a scheduled school trip, so the 12-year-old went to Canada's judicial system to get her way.  ...the 12-year-old had access to the courts using a court-appointed attorney representing her in her parents' custody dispute." Parents, Grandparents Beat Back California No-Spanking Bill: 'This home-invasion bill has been stopped cold by parents and grandparents who know that to love children is to discipline them and show them the way to live,' said Randy Thomasson, president of Campaign for Children and Families (CCF), a leading nonprofit, nonpartisan California-based pro-family organization, which has been strongly opposing the spanking ban." See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health. Since spanking helps establish parental authority and traditional values, it doesn't fit that UN plan.

Who owns your child?  "After he had endured three months of ineffective treatments last year for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Abraham Cherrix rejected his doctor’s recommendation to go through a second round of chemotherapy. He chose instead to seek out more natural, nontoxic methods using alternative medicine. After doing his research, he traveled with his father to Bio-Medical Center in Tijuana, Mexico. His treatments included liquid herbal supplements and a sugar-free, organic diet consisting mostly of fresh fruits and vegetables. When they returned home, they spoke to Abraham’s oncologist, Dr. Rebecca Byrd, to keep her involved in his care. Wanting no part of their choices, she promptly declared their decision irrational, labeled it 'medical neglect'.... Within days, the county Social Services personnel had been awarded partial custody of Abraham and, at 5:20pm on Friday, July 21, Judge Jesse E. Demps ruled that Abraham’s parents were neglectful."

June 2006

Who should adoption serve? "It is a crime to run an adoption agency in Massachusetts without a license from the state. To get a license you have to agree to place children with same-sex couples.... People who believe marriage is the union of husband and wife must (if courts rule this way) be treated like racists by their own government." See License to Remove our Children

The Nanny State Takeover of All Children, Birth to Age 5: "The government required political curriculum (Early Learning Standards) is the core of the Nanny State system. They are primarily state-defined social and emotional outcomes for kids that are deliberately vague, subjective, non-academic, and psychosocial. They direct care-givers to teach controversial political agendas, such as gender identity, diversity, homosexuality, career exploration, environmentalism, and childhood activism. Remember that these are three-year old children that are being indoctrinated!" Social and Emotional Learning

Fighting Back : "On February 20, 2001, the Erie County Department of Job and Family Services received an 'anonymous' tip that the children of a home educating family were neglected and their home was 'cluttered.' Two social workers decided to go to the residence to investigate.... When the mother answered the door, she refused to allow the social workers into the house, even though several techniques were used to try to convince the mother that the social workers were 'required' to enter the residence (something I have been warning you about). At one point, one social worker told the mother that if she refused them entry into the home, she would declare an 'emergency' and forcibly remove the children from the home (this is another claim often used by social workers). The mother still refused entry."

This story reminds me of many other horror stories of caring parents who have been intimidated by aggressive, anti-family social workers. Many lost their children to this abusive and manipulative system.

Massachussetts' Family 'Justice': Margaret "Marshall presides over a judiciary where families are forcibly separated by government agents, where children are torn from their parents with no justification given, and where parents are railroaded into jail with no semblance of due process of law. In Marshall's court system, litigants find their hearing tapes doctored, their case files falsified, and themselves framed -- all with the full knowledge of judges. Mothers are ordered to divorce their husbands or lose their children. Fathers are forced to confess to crimes they have not committed. Attorneys who speak out are disbarred. Citizens who are minding their own business are summoned to court and ordered to pay the inflated fees of attorneys they have not hired and jailed when they are unable."

"Financial incentives and quotas created by the Adoption and Safe Families Act in 1997, championed by the Clinton administration, have resulted in a 'child protection racket' rife with 'baby stealing and baby selling,' according to [attorney Gregory] Hession. 'I am appalled by how many times this pattern is repeated.' ... Forty percent of Massachusetts children adopted have gone to gay and lesbian couples." See License to Remove our Children

Removing Kids from Homes: "Are poor parents losing their children to the state because their poverty is being mistaken for neglect? One expert says yes. A child-protection expert says several states are too quick to remove children from their homes after allegations of abuse or neglect. He says that may result in other children being left in real danger." What's happening is far worse than this article indicates. See other illustrations at Child Protection?

Homeschoolers vs. big brother: "New Jersey's child welfare system, like most state child welfare systems, is a corrupt and deadly mess. Children are lost in the shuffle, shipped to abusive foster homes, returned to rapists and child molesters, and left to die in closets while paperwork piles up. So whom does the government decide to punish for the bureaucracy's abysmal failure to protect these innocents? Homeschoolers." 2 Timothy 3:1-14 and Joshua 1:9

Putting our communities first: A Strategy for tackling Anti-social Behaviour (UK): "Tackling anti-social behaviour needs early intervention to make clear that certain behaviour is not acceptable. Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs) are one way of doing this.... and we want to ensure they are used more widely....

"There are various ways of deterring or preventing young people from becoming involved in anti-social behaviour. These include early intervention projects and providing diversionary activities....

"...good parenting is crucial. Bad parenting can have devastating effects. It is these parents - those who deliberately or recklessly fail their children - at whom Parenting Orders are aimed....

"A Parenting Order will be a civil order. It is an order that is intended to regulate the parent's behaviour in relation to their child."

These Acceptable Behaviour Contracts -- the new ABC's -- ought to raise serious concerns. See What Happened to Parents' Rights?

Baby Seized by State Police from Mother’s Hospital Room: "The mother whose newborn baby was seized by state police and DSS agents from her arms at the Mary Lane Hospital last month, says she fears for the lives and safety of her newborn, Aaron, and her four-year-old, Damien, who are in DSS custody. Her 5-year-old son, Kyle, died after a Rottweiler attacked him this June while in another DSS foster home. Atty. Gregory Hession says the snatch from the hospital could be retribution by DSS for the wrongful death suit the mother has filed against the agency."

Greg Hession is a wonderful lawyer. But constitutional justice and parental rights seem powerless against the anti-Christian hostility and the impenetrable wall of immunity granted the DDS by Clinton. 2 Chron 20:12

June 2003

Government agent, cops confront homeschoolers: DSS worker Susan Etscovitz tried to use the fact that the Bryants technically don't have custody of their own children in her plea. 'We have legal custody of the children and we will do with them as we see fit,' Etscovitz told the Bryants.... 'No one wants these children to be put in foster homes. The best course of action would be for (the Bryants) to instruct the children to take the test." What Happened to Parents' Rights?

When does a snapshot of a mother breast-feeding her child become kiddie porn? "Andrew Chatham, one of three lawyers working on behalf of Mercado and her boyfriend [Peruvian immigrants], says it is difficult to imagine a clearer case of over-reaching by police and prosecutors. 'Their theory, which is supported by nothing, is that these pictures were taken to satisfy the boyfriend's sexual desires. ... This is just a mother who took a roll of film and left it off at Eckerd's. The state used them to arrest her, indict her for a felony and take away her kids.'...

"To memorialize the act of breast-feeding in a snapshot is as common in Peru as wanting to save a photo of a first step..."

Yet, many refuse to guard children from real porn on their school and library computers.

February 2003

Father's battle for custody ends in defeat: "The last bars of this operatic tragedy have been sung. Vasquez fought the law, and the law won. That probably won't surprise readers who have contacted me with horror stories about the child welfare network. 'Parents tend not to win,' says attorney John Padilla....

"'The only thing that scares me is that my daughter might think I gave up on her,' Vasquez says.... He thinks back to their final visit last fall, before social workers unexpectedly cut off his visitation rights as a prelude to terminating reunification. And he says, 'I never got to say goodbye.''' See What Happened to Parents' Rights?

Closing court to scrutiny hurts public: "This week in a San Jose courtroom, a family's future will change. A judge will decide if Angel Vasquez should be reunited with his 7-year-old daughter, who has been in foster care since being removed from her mother's home two years ago.... As the trial opened Tuesday, a group of parents appeared at a county board of supervisors meeting to complain about the department of children's services. Rick Callender... has called for a grand jury investigation of the department. 'Communities of color are having their children taken from them with shoddy investigations and clear violations of due process,' he says....

"It's tempting to conclude that the confidentiality laws are a smoke screen behind which the public business is privately conducted." That is so true. Parents are forbidden to discuss or ask others to pray for God's will, protection and return of their children.

December 2002

New Study Suggests Risks Linked to Gay Foster Parenting: "In the summer of 2002, a Vermont newspaper carried an account of two foster fathers who had molested a 16-year-old boy in their charge....

"...because of concerns for privacy and confidentiality, the agency had not conducted follow-up investigations of such placements, nor were any contemplated. I finally concluded... that policies had been instituted to protect homosexual molesters from exposure....

"The Boston Globe (May 18, 1989) reported on an unmarried man who was caught in possession of illicit pictures of boys. Although he had been convicted of sexually molesting a boy in 1967 and given a suspended sentence, the Massachusetts Probation Department had used him as a foster father for '24 adolescent males during the past 12 years." The Fight For Spencer: "Across the Carolinas, Christian families are battling local departments of social services for custody of their children and other basic parental rights. Even well-intentioned family court judges and social workers often find their hands bound by regulations....

"After battling the Department of Social Services (DSS) in court for an entire year, a Christian couple has finally been given full custody of their oldest son. A hearing judge for the clerk of Mecklenburg County Superior Court ruled on February 19 that 18-year-old Spencer should immediately go home with his parents, Jack and Kathy Stratton. 'It was like God shining light in (the courtroom),' said Aana Lisa Whatley....

"When DSS came to take the children away, they noted in their report that an extension cord ran from the house next door into the Strattons’ window and therefore the Strattons had no electricity. In reality, the Strattons did have electricity. A neighbor had asked to use the Stratton’s electricity to plug up his power saw. 'I thought that was just horrible,' said Whatley. “They had electricity. Yet this entire time, it has stayed in the (court) record that they had no electricity."

Sack for [British] teachers who fail to spot pupils abused at home: "Teachers are to face the sack if they fail to spot children who are suffering abuse at home. New legislation will be brought in following the death of six-year-old Lauren Wright, who was beaten to death by her stepmother without her school reporting her deteriorating condition. Ministers are to give Local Education Authorities new powers that will make teachers legally responsible for the welfare of their pupils, even if the harmful acts occur outside school hours." These powers will surely increase the surveys and intrusive questioning that erodes family privacy. See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health and the next item:

February 2002

System Intended to Protect Children Under Fire for Overzealousness: "An obese girl is yanked from her parents in Arizona. A New York couple loses custody of their son because they refuse to drug him with Ritalin. A Colorado boy is stripped and examined by school officials because he said he'd been spanked one morning. A Christian mother loses her daughter for teaching forgiveness. Prudent precaution on the part of America's child protective services agencies or proof positive of a system run amok?"

January 2002

When the Bough Breaks: "Child protective services took little Candace Elmore from her mother. A few years later the little girl died in a bizarre "rebirthing" ritual....
At first glance , Angela Elmore and Mary Ann Stumbo have little in common.... Elmore is a poor, marginally educated single mother with a history of bad relationships and hand-to-mouth jobs. Stumbo is a middle-class, well-educated, married mother whose architect-husband provides for his family while she home schools their four children. Both have had life altering encounters with North Carolina's child protective services.
“In Elmore's case, the encounter is best described as life-shattering, as her child, Candace, ended up dead after social workers removed her from Elmore's care and handed her over for adoption and a 'better' life to an eccentric heiress, who in turn sent the child to New Age therapists. Candace, who was ten, died rolled up in a blanket and suffocated by adults who were "rebirthing" her in a bizarre attempt to make her love her adoptive mother more, and, imagine this, stop missing her real mom.
“Stumbo's encounter... seems headed for a saner ending. She and her husband, James, have taken their case to the N.C. Supreme Court, defending themselves against charges that they interfered with a state investigation of alleged child abuse or neglect. The evidence against them? Their two-year-old daughter ran into the front yard naked for a couple of minutes in the early morning as she went looking for her kitten.
“Both cases, though representing extremes in the debate regarding child protection versus parental rights, are frightening to citizens mindful of the increasingly draconian measures state agents are willing and entitled by law to take....  'As soon as I take a kid out of a home, I begin to earn federal money for the cost of caring for that child,' Gary Stangler, former director of Missouri's Department of Social Services, told journalist Bill Moyers a few years back. 'All of the federal incentives are on the institutional side. While tipsters can anonymously create havoc in a family's life, there are no checks and balances on the callers themselves."

December 2001

Don't treat children like mini-adults: "If you take your child - say, a 6-year-old - to a typical library, you will be asked to sign a card stating that if the child loses a book, you will make the library whole. If your kid misplaces the book, you get a note from the library. When you call, asking, "Sorry, but what book did Johnny lose?" you will be told: "We do not release such information - unless you bring a note from your child." If you are still gasping, here is how this came about: The American Library Association concluded that it ought to defend the privacy of its patrons from the press, former spouses, and (the best it can) police. Then in 1996, it added parents to the list. Moreover, several states enacted laws to the same effect. Note that the code speaks of all children, not merely those 12 years or older." What Happened To Parents' Rights?

October 2001

Mississippi Refuses to Cooperate in Lesbian Adoption: “A powerful homosexual legal group has filed suit against the state of Mississippi for allegedly refusing to issue an amended birth certificate to a 4-year-old boy adopted by two Vermont lesbians.... ‘If two lesbians are named on a birth certificate as the biological parents, then the certificate might as well state that the child was born on Mars, 300 years ago,’ said Robert Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute....”

Routine cruelty: "In a world where the media are ready to magnify innocuous remarks or a minor problem into a trauma or a disaster, there is remarkably little attention being paid to cruelties routinely inflicted on children by our laws and our courts. That cruelty is ripping children away from the only home they have ever known, to be sent away -- often far away -- to be raised by strangers. Such drastic action may be necessary when children have been abused or neglected, but kids have been seized from loving homes where there has never even been an accusation of abuse or neglect.....
"One of the children who is currently being threatened with this fate is a little boy in California named Santos...."

DSS ‘Follows The Money;’ Makes An Extra $90 Million Per Year: What’s ‘Best For The Child’ Is Secondary To ‘More Federal Money.’ In a report issued by the parents’ group titled "Findings and Suggestions on DSS Reform," they charge, "By seizing children illegally, in violation of Title IV-E requirements via the filing of false and fraudulent documents in secrecy through the courts to obtain federal funding, DSS is defrauding the federal government with deliberate intent." Financial incentives and disincentives drive the global agenda. In the absence of moral guidelines and love for God, greed replaces grace. Human nature hasn't changed with time.

Judges 21:25 and John 3:19

Birthday In Court: "Our daughters were taken away from us totally against our wishes and without our consent (which is illegal !).  At that moment ALL our parental rights were taken away.  That is not what they tell you.  They tell you that all you need to do is cooperate with them and maybe you will get your kids back.  They smile and tell you its all in the best interest of the child, and they are just there to help… all smiles and cute, cuddly toys.  IT IS A LIE!  The law states they cannot terminate parental rights before one year has passed.  In reality they do it the moment they take your child."

Parents to face jail for smacking: "Parents who smack their young children face a jail sentence under controversial plans unveiled by the Scottish executive yesterday aimed at bolstering the rights of the child. Critics accused ministers of creating a 'nanny state' where parents would lose control of their children’s upbringing, and their anger was fuelled as it emerged Jim Wallace, the justice minister, smacked his own daughters." Prov 22:6 and What Happened To Parents' Rights?

DSS: Social Engineers of the Brave New World: "The staggering financial incentives that have corrupted DSS policies and practices were featured in the May 2000 edition of Massachusetts News in the article, 'Adoption Bonuses: the Money Behind the Madness.' It explained the financial motivation for DSS to snatch children and quickly force them into adoption."

Baby Seized by State Police from Mother’s Hospital Room : "The mother whose newborn baby was seized by state police and DSS agents from her arms at the Mary Lane Hospital last month, says she fears for the lives and safety of her newborn, Aaron, and her four-year-old, Damien, who are in DSS custody. Her 5-year-old son, Kyle, died after a Rottweiler attacked him this June while in another DSS foster home. Atty. Gregory Hession says the snatch from the hospital could be retribution for the wrongful death suit the mother has filed against the agency....

"Compounding her worries, Ross said DSS placed her infant son and Damien together with two homosexual men who say they want to adopt them. “I told DSS I didn’t want that. I said I think the boys should bond with their mother, not with gay men. They told me I have no say in the matter.” Please pray for families unjustly accused and tormented by the DDS which rules beyond the authority of Constitutional law.

A State Agency With the Power to 'Kidnap With Impunity': "The department came knocking at the door to their home in the form of a "home visitor" sent by the hospital when the Howards' first baby girl was born with terminal health problems....  The kitchen was in the process of being remodeled. Over Heidi's objections and without identifying the true purpose of the call, the "home visitor" opened closets and quizzed her about her marriage. Then, she filed a report about the messy home and "stress" in the family – stress undoubtedly caused by having a dying child.

"Their situation was complicated by a restraining order that Heidi says she was blackmailed into filing: the DSS allegedly threatened to remove their two boys, 10-year-old Christopher and five-year-old Ethan, if Heidi did not register a complaint against her husband even though she insisted no abuse had occurred. With a restraining order on file, the DSS seized the boys in November 1999.... daughter, Jessica, was seized from her nursing mother on the grounds that the other children were already in DSS custody."

A Voice for Children. This little girl was taken by Child Protection Services.  Abused by the foster care system, she, too, needs our prayer.

Family Is Destroyed by DSS Six Children Seized: "Donna’s voice choked with emotion when she recalled, "The kids didn’t come home from school that afternoon. We lived right in the back of the school and I was saying, ‘Where are my kids?’ Every day I saw them coming home the exact same time." Donna called the school and was told DSS had taken the children away. Only minutes later, little Tom cried out, "Mom, the police are here!"  This is the first story in a series of links to be posted on this topic. I hope it will help stir an outcry of concern across a country whose "child protectors" have turned against Christian families.

100 flee after kids seized: "... the hurried departures, apparently of 74 children and 26 mothers, include family members questioned last Wednesday about the way they discipline their children. One week earlier, children's aid officials and police forcibly removed seven children from a home in Aylmer amid allegations they had been spanked with sticks and belts. [Their pastor]  Hildebrandt said his congregants' Biblically based belief that parents who spare the rod, spoil the child led them to flee Canada for fear their children will be taken too. 'It's very obvious they could've been the next,' he said." Prov 22:6

Police remove seven children from their home: "Seven children aged 6 to 14 have been removed from their home in Aylmer, Ont., because their parents, who accept the literal truth of the Bible, refuse to promise they will never again hit them with switches if they disobey. Their pastor, Rev. Henry Hildebrandt of the Aylmer Church of God, said the couple have resorted to corporal punishment in the past, believing it is wrong to spare the rod if other methods fail. He said police, acting on a request from child-welfare workers, called in reinforcements on Wednesday and carried the children from the house after friends and relatives tried to prevent them from being taken. 'They didn't want to go. As they were coming out I was standing out there in the parking lot and the children just put their arms out and they said, 'Help me, help me!' I said I would gladly do it, but I can't.'" Matt 24:9

Children's rights: "Children need a mother, a father, a home built on marriage, siblings, religion, and a healthy community, says Allan Carlson, president of the Howard Center for Family Religion and Society....

"The U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) 'is a fact of life. It exists. Most states have ratified it and many have gone ahead' to write legislation to enforce it, said Marjorie Newman-Williams, director of communications for UNICEF. 'So in many minds, we've moved past the discussion of what are the rights and moved into the what are we going to do about it'....

"The CRC says all children have a right to survive; to have a name, parents, family ties and an adequate standard of living; an education; and to be protected from harm and exploitation. Children also have the right to obtain information, express their opinions, play, meet, share views with others and enjoy freedom of conscience and religion."

This international treaty, which puts child-raising standards into the hands of UN-directed governments, forbids parental controls that prevent children from pursuing their own beliefs and values through internet, Wiccan meetings or other ways they might choose. Any exciting religion promoted in multicultural curriculum or popular entertainment can be explored. While the USA has not yet followed "191 nations" who have signed or ratified the CRC, Clinton's Executive Order 13107 established a system to implement it. See What Happened To Parents' Rights?

Know Your Rights: "In 1989, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child because 'the child, by reason of his physical and mental immaturity, needs special safeguards and care' and because 'in all countries of the world, there are children living in exceptionally difficult conditions.' The 41 articles of rights include "Every child has a right to life." (except unborn babies) and "No child shall be subjected to torture, cruel treatment, unlawful arrest, or deprivation of liberty." The latter bans all forms of spanking. This Convention shifts the authority for child-raising from parents to the state and makes the state subject to UN regulations. God's old ways clash with its agenda. Prov 22:6

Judges 21:25 and John 3:19A one-world taxing authority? "A key United Nations panel has proposed a radical plan to give international bureaucrats sweeping powers over U.S. tax policy." Deut 8:10-20

Judge warns of baby culling: "High Court judge Michael Kirby has raised the spectre of the unchecked elimination of children with genetic defects unless new laws were drawn up to cover the genetic screening of unborn babies.... Justice Kirby, a member of UNESCO's international bioethics committee, said his own experience as a gay man had given him an insight into the possibility of the 'elimination' of unborn babies when genetic tests showed they did not meet parents' expectations.... [He] said the British Government was considering whether parents should be allowed to choose to have children with 'low-level' disabilities. (According to a British media report) government advisers in Britain are considering allowing deaf parents to decide to have deaf children on the basis that it might be in the child's interests to be born with the same disability as their parents."  Isaiah 3:5-12

Religious Coalition Warns of Free Speech Threat: '"'There is an old Stalinist tactic of adopting terminology for political purposes... And tolerance has been turned into the ultimate virtue.' ...Conversely, 'intolerance' is a charge that has increasing been used against those who disagree with certain positions. ...Lately, accusations of 'intolerance' have chilled free speech. Armed with baseless charges of 'racism,' 'anti-Semitism,' and 'homophobia,' the enforcers of 'tolerance' intimidate civic and religious leaders, and the rest of us too, who tremble lest we violate its dictates." Queen's speech on education is a warning to other nations: "Businesses, religious and voluntary organisations will be encouraged to become sponsors of secondary schools in England.... This education bill would 'deregulate the school system, remove legislative barriers to change and introduce new ways for private, voluntary and faith organisations to become involved in supporting schools to improve."  Among the "barriers" to go are the legal protections of parental rights. In the new global management system, the "village" -- not the biological parents -- must control the training of children. See Molding Human Resources for a Global Workforce and  Proverbs 22:6

Judges rule against home-schoolers: "The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in a split decision that the parents of a 2-year-old "streaker" should have complied with a social worker's demands to enter the home and privately interview all their children." In light of today's unjustified removal of children from homes by social workers across the country, this ruling is frightening. Once taken by the state, children are kept in foster homes for months and years while parents have little power to reunite their family. See License to Seize our Children and Psalm 32:7

Judge Takes Kids Away over Too Much Churchgoing: A "judge has awarded custody of twin boys to a man described in court documents as a 'sexual deviant' after determining that the boys' mother attended religious services too frequently." 'The estranged father's 'interest in nudism (exposure) is not illegal and is culturally acceptable in some parts of the world,' Dr. Elizabeth Richett reported to the court." Isaiah 5:20

Truant Children? Call the Social Worker! "...The public schools contacted child protective services, alleging that the parents were not capable of providing home education for the children. Social workers, one accompanied by a police officer, then showed up at our members' doors, demanding entrance into their homes. HSLDA provided the social workers with proof of the families' compliance with the private school law...."

$500 Fine for Failing to Report Neglect: The language of this Maine bill "even mandates reporting of neglect that has not happened yet! The language is so broad that virtually anyone who is ever around any child for any period of time under any circumstances is threatened with a fine if he or she does not report suspected neglect." It may be introduced in your state soon. To understand the oppressive "social welfare" system designed to replace parents as guardians of children, follow the suggested links near the top of this page

Daycare Bombshell Hits The "Village": "The study found a direct correlation between time spent in daycare and a child's aggression, defiance and disobedience. The findings held true regardless of the type or quality of daycare, the sex of the child, the family's socioeconomic status, or the quality of the mother care. Why is anybody surprised...?"

Tyranny Naked: "There can be no greater stretch of arbitrary power than is required to seize children from their parents, teach them whatever the authorities decree they shall be taught, and expropriate from the parents the funds to pay for the procedure."  Yet this is happening across America." U. N. Treaty on the Rights of the Child. This treaty is being implemented along with other unratified human rights treaties through a Clinton executive order. It helps explain the political agenda that is eroding parental rights in this country. See Trading U.S. Rights for UN Rules and What Happened To Parents' Rights?

State Running Background Checks on New Parents: "The whole idea here is prevention," said Mark Jasonowicz, deputy director of the state Family Independence Agency. "We want to identify those parents who have been abusive in the past and try to head off any possible incidents of future abuse."  This fits today's concept of "prevention" or "risk management" which is now used to justify the Orwellian regulations needed to manage human resource around the world." See The UN Plan for Your Mental Health and Reinventing the World.
