"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have." Thomas Jefferson

August 2013

The Face of the Lawless Bureaucracy: "'Democracy never lasts long,' [said John Adams]. 'It soon wastes, exhausts and murders itself. There was never a democracy that did not commit suicide.'

"For liberal regimes, a very common starting point on the road to serfdom is the over-delegation of legislative powers to the executive. France very nearly ended up in a permanent dictatorship as a result of that error....

"But the United States is not going to fall for a strongman government. Instead of delegating power to a would-be president-for-life, we delegate it to a bureaucracy-without-death. You do not need to install a dictator when you’ve already had a politically supercharged permanent bureaucracy in place for 40 years or more." See George Orwell's1984

[UK] Government must halt next flood of immigration: "Labour can't admit its disgraceful open-door immigration policy has inflicted such damage on the British way of life - and the Conservatives can't admit that, despite all their huff and puff, they're virtually powerless to stem the tide. We all know our country is bursting at the seams.

"In our big cities and towns, classroom numbers are rising and many children speak English only as a second language. Hospital waiting rooms are packed with huddled masses claiming free treatment from an NHS system to which they've never contributed a penny.....Scotland Yard warns that 90 per cent of cash machine crime is caused by Romanian gangs who get away with £30million a year..." Seventy eight (National Network) fusion centers in America: "...States and localities across the United States established what are known today as State and Major Urban Area Fusion Centers.... Over the past three years, the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) efforts have been targeted to assist fusion centers in developing plans, policies, and standard operating procedures.... Fusion centers raise very serious privacy issues..." See The School of Joyful Endurance

Army bans soldiers from reading about NSA: "The U.S. Army has ordered its personnel not to go to the latest postings on the website of the British newspaper The Guardian to read revelations of information given to its reporter because it contains a 'TOP SECRET slide show.' ... Each day, NSA reportedly intercepts and stores some 1.7 billion emails, phone calls and other communications. National Intelligence Director James Clapper in a letter to Sen. Ron Wyden conceded that NSA analysts have exceeded their authority in domestic surveillance." See From Freedom to Servitude

Lawsuit: SWAT Officers Dragged 10-Year-Old from Bathtub... Terrorized Family: "14 police officers with helmets and facemasks and assault rifles stormed in, family says.... Pittsburgh SWAT officers must face claims that they raided a family's home, violently dragged a child from the bathtub, and 'terrorized' them at gunpoint, a federal judge ruled....Officers have continued to harass and threaten the family since the raid, telling them 'that's how we do things here' and that they should move out of Pittsburgh..."  The Birth of a Police State: UK Police to be Granted Sweeping New Powers: "The UK Government is about to pass legislation which will make any behaviour perceived to potentially ‘cause nuisance or annoyance’ a criminal offence. The Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Bill also grants local authorities, police and even private security firms sweeping powers to bar citizens from assembling lawfully in public spaces. Those who refuse orders under the new rules will face arrest, fines and even prison time."

America No Longer Has a Functioning Judicial System: "The Separation of Powers which define our democracy have been destroyed. The Department of Justice told a federal court this week that the NSA’s spying 'cannot be challenged in a court of law'. (This is especially dramatic given that numerous federal judges and legal scholars – including a former FISA judge – is nothing but a kangaroo court.) ...

2 U.S. Supreme Court Justices – And Numerous Other Top Government Officials – Warn of Dictatorship: "Justices Souter and O’Connor, Intelligence Agency Heads and Congressmen All Warn of Tyranny in America Former Supreme Court Justice David Souter told University of New Hampshire School of Law that the 'pervasive civic ignorance' in the U.S. could bring dictatorship:

"....Former Supreme Court Justice David Souter told University of New Hampshire School of Law that the “pervasive civic ignorance” in the U.S. could bring dictatorship: ......when the problems get bad enough — as they might do for example with another serious terrorist attack, as they might do with another financial meltdown — some one person will come forward and say: ‘Give me total power and I will solve this problem.’

"That is how the Roman republic fell. Augustus became emperor not because he arrested the Roman senate. He became emperor because he promised that he would solve problems that were not being solved. Former Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O’Connor has also warned of dictatorship....

"Now, the NSA is building a $2 billion dollar facility in Utah which will use the world’s most powerful supercomputer to monitor virtually all phone calls, emails, internet usage, purchases and rentals, break all encryption, and then store everyone’s data permanently.....The former head of the program for the NSA recently....said: 'We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state." College Student Arrested & Thrown in Jail After Buying…Bottled Water: "It should have been just a simple trip to the grocery store to buy bottled water, cookie dough and ice cream for a sorority event. Instead, six plainclothes officers swarmed University of Virginia student Elizabeth Daly, who was ultimately arrested and spent the night and next afternoon in jail..." Men can be wives and women husbands as Government overrules the dictionary: "...universally understood terms such as father and mother might be simply deleted by bureaucrats on official forms. [Others] condemned the system adopted in some countries such as Spain – where parents are sometimes referred to as 'Progenitor A' and 'Progenitor B' – as 'Orwellian'." See George Orwell's1984

‘Absolutely Incredible’: Canadians Outraged After Flooding Prompts Involuntary Firearm Confiscation: "Canadians in the High River area of Alberta – many already 'irate' at not being able to return to their homes after massive flooding last week – were shocked to learn late Thursday that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have seized a 'large quantity of firearms' from their evacuated houses. ... 'Now what they’re doing is looking for firearms and ammunition. How do they have the right to do that? What does that have to do with the disaster? …This is martial law. What has happened to our country?” See Trusting God as Freedom Fades

Kissinger: U.S. and China to Collaborate on Globalist “World Order” : "...Rockefeller protégé and operative Henry Kissinger calls for the United States and the authoritarian government of China to work together to create a globalist totalitarian government.

"'The challenge is,' Kissinger told the Asia Society last week, 'how to build a world order for the first time in history on a global basis...'

"...he then suggested China and the U.S. collaborate on such an effort.... Rockefeller regards Mao as an ideal leader and the communist revolution and its murderous political purges as a template for world government....  Conservative estimates of the death toll exacted by Mao’s cultural purge exceed 30 million people.

European Commission to criminalize nearly all seeds and plants not registered with government: "A new law proposed by the European Commission would make it illegal to 'grow, reproduce or trade' any vegetable seeds that have not been 'tested, approved and accepted' by a new EU bureaucracy named the 'EU Plant Variety Agency.' ... Home gardeners who grow their own plants from non-regulated seeds would be considered criminals under this law.

"This law will immediately stop the professional development of vegetable varieties for home gardeners, organic growers, and small-scale market farmers....  Nearly all varieties of heirloom vegetable seeds will be criminalized under this proposed EU law. ...saving seeds from one generation to the next...will become a criminal act." Government Tyranny.  Americans Fear Government More Than Terror : "According to a pair of recent polls, for the first time since the 9/11 jihadist hijackings, Americans are more fearful their government will abuse constitutional liberties than fail to keep its citizens safe.... further broke the responses down by political affiliation:

    • Bucking the trend, 51 percent of Democrats responded they would give up personal freedom to reduce the threat of jihad, compared to 36 percent opposed.

    • Forty-seven percent of Republicans, on the other hand, opposed giving up freedoms, compared to only 43 percent in favor.

    • Yet independents were the most resistant, with only 29 percent willing to sacrifice freedom, while 58 percent stood opposed." See Purging the Memory of Our Christian Roots

The Coming Social Renaissance: Restoring America's Civic and Moral Creed: "The most important development at the beginning of the twenty-first century was the rediscovery of the nongovernmental sector of civil society, or as some call it, the voluntary or social sector.... After decades of neglect, Americans are rediscovering that the social sector - consisting of families, neighborhoods, voluntary associations, and an endless variety of civic enterprises....

"Still more important than the practical functions of civil society is the role this sector plays in cultivating citizenship and generating values. Public in nature, though not governmental, the social sector provides public 'space' where people learn through practice such essential democratic habits as trust, collaboration, and compromise.

"Few things are more important to America's social order than the dynamic role voluntary associations and private charities have played in creating a stronger society. This social sector... represents a peculiarly American channel for social action moral transformation....

"New terms, like "compassionate conservative," "communitarian," and the "civil society movement" have entered the public' of this emerging social sector. Successful leadership in this sector, he says, could yield major results on the enormous problems facing the world."
