After doing the reading in Donald McGavran's book, the statement below is concerning. The targets of this world evangelization are "groups of people" not individuals for whom Jesus Christ died. With this assumption "small groups" and "small group dynamics" become very useful in a pragmatic sort of way. (Pragmatism is a main philosophy of the Church Growth Movement. C. Peter Wagner states this in his writings about church growth. Jim Montgomery of DAWN Ministries writes from this perspective. Both of them knew, studied under, researched with, and taught with McGavran.) "Large group" dynamics are also useful because large group events are also utilized.

In Him,
