Bernie:  Yesterday was the day commonly known as Good Friday.  What was good about it?  Wasn’t that the day Jesus was wrongfully killed by crucifixion by the Jews in Israel?  Ah yes, he was killed, but not wrongfully.  It was the will of God that Jesus be the sinless Lamb of God who would be sacrificed to take away the sin of the world.  The Apostle Paul explained, “Once you were alienated from God and enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.  But now God has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, blameless and free from accusation” (Colossians 1:21-22).

Tomorrow will be Easter, the most significant day in history for Christians.  It is the day Jesus rose from the dead.  He later proved he was alive to over 500 witnesses before he ascended into heaven.  Christians believe that because Jesus lives, they too can live with him for eternity in heaven.

Who is this Jesus?  He is LORD!  Romans 14:9 states, “For this very reason Jesus died and rose again, that he might be the LORD of both the dead and the living.”  Where is the LORD Jesus now?  He sits at the right hand of his Father (our God) in heaven.
