RESULTS OF HIS SUFFERING

 

"But we see Jesus... now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death.  (Heb 2:9)

 

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS   (click on the underlined verses to read them)

His earthly suffering led to joy.  Heb 12:1-3

Because He humbled Himself and suffered death, He is crowned with glory and honor.  Heb 2:9-10   (Although He had glory before He suffered, He is highly exalted because of His suffering.  See Phil 2:5-11)

His soul was troubled, but His death brought His glorification.  Jn 12:23-28

After He suffered, He entered into His glory.  Lk 24:25-27

Having finished His work, He knew He would be glorified with His Father.  Jn 17:1-

When He had purged our sins, He sat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.   Heb 1:1-4  

His death made Him worthy to take the scroll and open its seals.  He redeemed us to God by His blood which enables us to be kings and priests to God forever.  Rev 5:8-10

God's eternal will for sending Christ was that those who believe in Him would be raised on the last day and have everlasting life.  Jn 6:34-40  (See The dead will be raised)

Before He could come in glory (See Christ's Coming), He had to first suffer and be rejected.  Lk 17:24-25

He will see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.   Is 53:10-11  (See all of Isaiah 53)

He will be rewarded because He willingly gave His life and bore our sins.  Is 53:12  (See all of Isaiah 53)
