From Paul Wilkin (Northern Ireland, UK): I  was reading the article on Spiderman, and thought this might interest you. In the scene where peter is on the roof top of the building he tries different ways to spin his web. One of the ways he tries, is the shape of a goat’s head or 'horned hand' -- like FIG 1 below only with thumb and middle fingers joined and the small finger and first finger rise up to make the shape of a goats head. (I was going to insert a image of the salute but felt that God was telling not to include it as I got a deep sinking feeling in my stomach while inserting it.)

Paul, I really appreciate your sensitivity to occult images. Thank you.

I also appreciate seeing the picture from the movie trailer. I didn't post it, because I thought I might violate a copyright.

The final one that works for him you can see in FIG 1. His thumb is extended out and not joined with the two middle fingers -- as seen in fig 1, which is not shaped like the horned Hand.

Your friend in God, Paul

From Jordan: The reason Spidey positions his fingers as he does is because of the way his webbing works, at the base of his hand. It has nothing to do with the horned hand or occultism.

Thanks for your explanation, Jordan.

From D.B.: I HAVE JUST READ YOUR ARTICLE ON SPIDERMAN, BUT I HAVE NOTICED ONE THING YOU HAVE LEFT OUT. A FRIEND BROUGHT IT MY ATTENTION AFTER BUYING THE SPIDERMAN FIGURE FOR HER GRANDSON. TO EJECT THE WEB FROM HIS HAND HE POSITIONS HIS FINGERS IN AN OCCUTIC WAY, KNOWN AS THE HORNED HAND.

Thank you for your observation. I haven't seen the Spider-Man figure.
