Habitat II and |

“Agenda 21 is an
United Nations ‘action plan’ that basically defines how citizens will
live in the 21th Century. Under the guise of ‘eco-sustainability’ and
other ‘you-must-agree-with’ buzz words, the plan ultimately reduces
the freedoms and living conditions of citizens, not to mention
reduce individual and property rights.
“
A
major component of this action plan is to get citizens out of rural
and suburbans areas to get them to live in dense, highly planned
and controlled mega-cities. The elite wants to see citizens
use less space, own less land and real estate and they want them to
fully depend on state-owned public transportation./Corporations like
IBM are highly involved in the creation of these smart cities.…
“Other scenarios conceived by
Forum for the Future are slightly
different but they all have common threads: drastic reduction of rights,
privileges and freedoms; constant reference to an elite having exclusive
rights on cars and other luxuries; state controlling all aspects of life.”

Adapting Your HOME to
“Healthy Housing”
– but who can afford it?
The UN
Conference on Human Habitats (Habitat II) gives us a glimpse of the
planned housing for the New World Order. No doubt our American leaders
have noticed that most old towns and communities are fast becoming
incompatible with their new rules, plans and government education. They
don’t fit the new visions of spiritual compromise. Nor would they be
welcome in the pluralistic community centers envisioned by the leaders
of
Habitat ll.
After all, uncompromising Christians would disrupt the envisioned
solidarity.
Obama’s view of government controlled
housing fits right into this picture of a new global solidarity. A
recent article titled “Mold?
Leaky Roof? Obama Administration Says All Americans Must Have ‘Healthy
Housing:“
“Under the broad banner of ‘health,’ the federal government not only
is telling Americans what to eat, it’s also telling us to make our
homes safer. This week, the Obama administration released a ‘bold
new vision for addressing the nation’s health and economic burdens
caused by preventable hazards associated with the home.’ The project
has a name: ‘Advancing Healthy Housing: A Strategy for Action.’“‘People in the United States spend
about 70% of their time in a home,’ the announcement said….“According to the Obama
administration, the health and economic burdens from preventable
hazards associated with both subsidized and privately owned homes
cost billions of dollars. The new strategy ‘unifies’ federal efforts
to advance healthy housing — ‘demonstrating the connection
between housing conditions and residents health.’…“Currently, millions of U.S. homes
have moderate to severe physical housing problems, including
dilapidated structure; roofing problems; heating, plumbing, and
electrical deficiencies; water leaks and intrusion; pests; damaged
paint; and high radon gas levels. These conditions are associated
with a wide range of health issues, including unintentional
injuries, respiratory illnesses…. as well as lost productivity in
the labor force.“The federal partners pushing healthy
housing include the White House Council on Environmental Quality,
Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Housing and Urban
Development, the Surgeon General, and Energy Department.”[1]
Who hasn’t faced chipped paint, broken
pipes and water leaks on their property? But these problems don’t
require government interference! Besides, who would pay the huge cost of
examining each house and fixing it to comply with Obama’s new rules for
home owners?
Will our individual freedoms be smothered
by the bureaucratic regulations pushed by elite globalists who want to
use and control us as if we were cattle?…
Notes from the 1996 UN Conference on Human
Habitats (Habitat
II)
Thinking back to that conference, I
remember a conversation I overheard at an airport back in 1996. I was
flying home from Istanbul’s
Habitat II
and had just landed in New York. I sat down to wait for my next flight.
Moments later another passenger from the
same flight sat down right in front of me. Soon a second man —
apparently from the UN headquarters or Washington D.C.– came rushing
in and took the chair next to him. It didn’t take long to discover that
both men were government insiders who had planned a brief airport
conference to discuss the latest steps toward mandatory housing and
community standards across America. Apparently, they didn’t notice me.
I pulled out my pen and paper and began
taking notes. As the two men discussed the new plans for housing and
community life, I pondered their schemes. They certainly illustrated
what I had learned during the last two weeks.
They planned to replace cars (at
least for ordinary citizens) with commuter trains. This new form of
rapid transit would stop at each community center along its way. No need
for cars! The shopping area would be near the station. The walk or
bicycle ride back to their compact condominium would be relatively
short. But not too short to provide the daily exercise the new
health care system would demand.
The two men made several references to
“Bill” Richardson, who would soon be U.S. Ambassador to the United
Nations. Apparently, he had some useful ideas to add to the growing
vision of “managed” human habitats and transportation.
Today, the Obama administration is building on decades-old government
blueprints for transformation. For example, our 1999 article on
The UN Plan for Your Mental Health includes a section on “HEALTHY
CITIES and COMMUNITIES.”
“The Healthy Cities project was
launched by WHO [The
World Health Organization] in the early
eighties. Its web site explains its purpose: ‘The Healthy Cities
Project helps change the ways in which individuals, communities,
private and voluntary organizations and local governments think
about, understand and make decisions about health.’“Today, its guidelines are followed
by leaders across America — whether they use the label “Healthy
City” or not. Remember Dr. Satcher’s report at the 1998 Healthy
People Consortium:“Healthy City and
Healthy Community‘ initiatives are being pursued throughout
the country…. Healthy People 2010 is the United States’
contribution to the World Health Organization‘s call to
the nations of the world to renew their commitment to health
for all.”[3]
It’s no accident that the last three
words, “health for all,” sound like
UNESCO‘s 1990 World Conference on Education for All (EFA).
The latter introduced the same
six education goals President Bush announced in 1991. EFA’s
counterpart in the health arena is WHO’s Health for All (HFA). And, like
Goals 2000, the US branch of UNESCO’s outcome-based education system, “a
Healthy City is defined in terms of process and outcome.”[4]
“WHO’s Healthy Cities program works
with America’s Coalition for Healthier Cities and Communities,
whose members may or may not use the WHO labels. But they must all
follow the
Total
Quality Management process which calls for continual monitoring
of change and progress. They must also agree to:
- “measure our progress.”
- “address the root causes of
problems.”- “promote a broader definition of
health that includes physical, mental, social, and
spiritual dimensions.“- “focus on prevention,
wellness and change incentives.”[4]
Like the above message,
the recent article on “Mold?
Leaky Roof? Obama Administration Says All Americans Must Have ‘Healthy
Housing” warns us that “Healthy Housing” involves five
important government steps. And each step begs these questions:
At what personal cost for the owner?
How perfect must it be? Keep in mind, most private homes will at times
face temporary challenges such as rats, mice, heavy rain… even a
broken ventilation system.
- Establish healthy homes
recommendations (homes should be dry, clean, pest-free,
safe, contaminant-free, well-ventilated, and well-maintained and
thermally controlled);- Encourage adoption of healthy
homes recommendations (federal, state and local regulations);- Create and support training and
workforce development to address health hazards in housing
(train people for new jobs in green energy and
construction);- Educate the public about healthy
homes (advertising campaigns telling Americans how their
homes ought to be)- Support research that advances
healthy housing in a cost-effective manner (taxpayer-funded
grants to study the problem).”[1]
Many homeowners who have cared for their
homes through the decades are now unable to pay the added expenses of
the countless “federal, state and local regulations!” Was this calamity
planned? Does our government hide a more sinister plan that would be
carried out when multitudes fail to pay the cost of expensive new
regulations?
We don’t know the answers, but our Lord
does!
Therefore do not
worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink?…
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all
these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about
tomorrow….” Matthew 6:31-34
“And my God shall
supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ
Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever.”
Philippians 4:19-2
