Three lists
(from different sources) of
sections most dangerous to your health, privacy and freedom:

Notes and background
information: Not included in those
three lists is
the section on “Mental Health,”
which introduces “Medical home
pilot program
(Sec.
1302,
page 218). The following warning illustrates its use of
today’s malleable pseudo-science. For more information, see

this article soon with new information)

Negative superlatives define healthcare opponents:
“A Rhode Island Democrat has implied that those who oppose government-run
healthcare are nothing more than racists. The following remarks, made by
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse from the Senate floor on Sunday, were aimed
at conservative opponents of the healthcare reform legislation
: ‘Why
all this discord and discourtesy [and] all this unprecedented destructive
action?’… Senator Whitehouse then got specific with who he thinks is behind
the opposition, pointing to ‘the birthers, the fanatics, [and] the
people running around in right-wing militias and Aryan support
groups.'”

Does that statement
remind you of our Homeland Security Secretary’s view of those who value
the founding values of our nation?

House Health-Care Bill Would Establish ‘Medical Homes’ for the Elderly and Disabled
:
“The House health-care reform bill proposes to decrease hospital visits by establishing a
‘medical home pilot program’ for elderly and disabled Americans.

Such a medical home would not require a physician to be on the staff, and therefore could be run solely by nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Medical homes also would practice
evidence-based’ medicine [EBM], which advocates only the use of medical treatments that are supported by effectiveness research.

… It also may lead to dumping Medicare/Medicaid patients in facilities that are not required to have physicians on staff.

     “

The Center for Medicine in the Public Interest (CMPI) expressed its concerns….
‘Unfortunately, EBM now is being distorted by government bureaucrats and HMOs in ways that impose top-down, one-size-fits-all restrictions on patients and their healthcare providers.’”

Rationing for Dummies:
“It’s beginning to sink in that Obama’s nationalized health care will lead directly
to rationing, which Americans desire about as much as a case of salmonella….
[Princeton ethicist Peter Singer]…who advocates the right of parents to kill
their newborns even several days later if the babies disappoint them, poses
a series of ethical dilemmas that resemble the
lifeboat analogy.
The boat is sinking and holds only so many. Who stays
aboard and who’s thrown to the sharks?

      “

‘…we
might say that the good achieved by health care is the number of lives saved.
But that is too crude. The death of a teenager is a greater tragedy than the
death of an 85-year-old, and this should be reflected in our priorities. We
can accommodate that difference by calculating the number of life-years saved,
rather than simply the number of lives saved.
If a teenager can be expected
to live another 70 years, saving her life counts as a gain of 70 life-years,
whereas if a person of 85 can be expected to live another 5 years, then saving
the 85-year-old will count as a gain of only 5 life-years.”

Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan

:
“Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama’s
stimulus
bill
contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash…. Tragically, no one from
either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion.
These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee
to head the Health and Human Services Department….

“Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system….
One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology,
will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government
deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and ‘guide’
your doctor’s decisions…. According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy
and ‘learn to operate less like solo practitioners.’…Hospitals and doctors
that are not ‘meaningful users’ of the new system will face penalties.

“‘Meaningful user’ isn’t defined in the bill. That will be left to the HHS secretary,
who will be empowered to impose ‘more stringent measures of meaningful use over
time.’… In his book, Daschle proposed an
appointed body with vast powers to
make the ‘tough’ decisions elected politicians won’t make
….He praises Europeans
for being more willing to accept ‘hopeless diagnoses’ and ‘forgo experimental
treatments,’ and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care
system….

“In 2006, a U.K. health board decreed that elderly patients with macular degeneration
had to wait until they went blind in one eye before they could get a costly
new drug to save the other eye.”

The Economic Argument for Euthanasia:
“One idea that politicians on neither the left nor the right will touch due
to political sensibilities, however, could be the easiest way to save billions
of dollars without affecting health care quality at all: legalizing euthanasia.
…those with terminal illnesses are resource sinks for society. End of life
care is incredibly expensive…. Obviously, those in the final stages of a terminal
illness are no longer in any position to contribute economically to society.
Their continued existence may be personally meaningful to the those who love
them, but from a economic perspective they are all cost and no benefit.
…”

The same calloused view
of life fueled last century’s eugenics movement among American leaders during
much of the last century, which found its most cruel expression in Nazi Germany
— with much financial help from America.

What
Obama Doesn’t Know Can Hurt the Rest of Us

by Ernest Istook. Posted 7/27/09 at

How? By outlawing the methods used by private insurance to control costs
and hold down the premiums you pay:

• Section 101 outlaws new health benefits plans
that don’t meet the new federal requirements.

• Section 102 requires existing employer group
plans to meet the new requirements within five years.

• Section 111 requires insurers to accept anyone
regardless of previous health, without limits or conditions. Presumably, you
could enroll after arriving at the hospital and still be covered for
whatever problem sent you there.

• Section 113 requires charging the same premium to
everyone, varying only by age and geography. No discounts for non-smokers,
non-drinkers, fitness buffs, healthy eaters or anything else. It also limits
higher premiums based on age, thereby increasing the premiums charged to
younger people.

• Section 114 outlaws any limits on coverage of
mental health and substance abuse.

• Section 115 shifts authority over networks of
health care providers, moving them from state regulation to federal control.

•

Section 116 is the real kicker. If insurers are
able to turn a profit despite the federal restrictions and public plan
competition, they must give back much of that profit to their customers, as
dictated by a new federal bureaucrat. This so-called “medical loss ratio”
gives power to a presidential appointee, the new Health Choices
Commissioner, to dictate the permitted level of administrative costs and
profits.

Even without these provisions, the bill gives an automatic advantage to
the new public health plan. The public plan uses price controls, requiring
doctors and hospitals to accept Medicare-designated payment amounts.
Typically, these are significantly lower than private plan payments, often
paying less than the cost of providing the care. (This is why so many
doctors today refuse Medicare patients.)

Private plans lack this power, so doctors, hospitals and clinics will
offset their public plan losses by shifting the costs onto the bills of
their other patients — making private plans even costlier. The Lewin study
estimates this cost-shifting will add an extra $460 per person per year to
the cost of private insurance. That worsens the automatic disadvantage they
have of competing against a taxpayer-subsidized government plan.

Trying to rush this 1,018-page bill through Congress before the public
disenchantment grows worse is like a midnight burglar trying to grab all the
goods before the homeowners wake up. When the president doesn’t know what’s
in a bill, that’s a sign everybody else should start finding out. Ignorance
may be bliss for some, but not for the rest of us.

But God tells His people,

“‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made
perfect in weakness
.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather
boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest
upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in
reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for
Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
