Sharia Law. Murder of Governor in Pakistan Darkens ‘Blasphemy’ Case: "The case of Asia Noreen, the first Christian woman sentenced to death in Pakistan on blasphemy charges, suffered a major setback when her most vocal supporter, the governor of Punjab Province, was gunned down by one of his police bodyguards.... The lives of Noreen and Gov. Salman Taseer were at risk since the day he, his wife and daughter visited her in the Sheikhupura District Jail on Nov. 22, after news of her conviction appeared in the media.

     "Taseer had openly criticized the blasphemy statutes and vowed to try to repeal the 'black laws' in parliament. He also promised Noreen (also called Asia Bibi) that he would recommend a presidential pardon for her. The governor’s assurance and his support for Noreen gave new hope to the impoverished mother of two children and step-mother to three others – and drew violent condemnation from Islamist forces....

     "On [Dec. 31], Taseer had tweeted 'was under huge pressure 2 cow down b4 rightest pressure on blasphemy. Refused. Even if I’m the last man standing.'" This is spiritual warfare!

Muslim leader recruits Americans for jihad: "Choudary exhorted American Muslims to join al-Qaida in its jihad against the West.... The “Green” Mosque Near Ground Zero: "Ibrahim Abdul-Matin, a U.S. environmental policy consultant and one of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s spokesmen for the new mosque being contemplated near Ground Zero, surprisingly announced in August that it will be the first 'green mosque'in the United States. Not only will this structure comply with very strict LEED green standards (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), but it will also become an interfaith cultural center that will emphasize 'the intricate relationships between Islamic teachings and environmentalism.'”

Obama: Islam distorted by a few extremists : "Asserting that Islam embodied a religion of peace, fairness and tolerance, U.S. President Barack Obama said here on Sunday that the religion was being 'distorted' by a few extremists. Mr. Obama was responding to a student who invited his opinion on jihad during his town hall style meeting at Mumbai's St. Xavier's college. 'The phrase jihad has a lot of meaning within Islam and is subject to a lot of different interpretations, but I will say that first Islam is one of the world's great religions. Repeated: Persecution.  After Fatwa, Pastor in Pakistan Beaten with Bricks: "Muslim extremists in Islamabad... beat with bricks and hockey sticks a Christian clergyman who is the subject of a fatwa demanding his death. The Rev. Dr. Suleman Nasri Khan, a former fighter in Afghanistan before his conversion to Christianity in 2000, suffered a serious head injury....

     "Khan, 34, had relocated to a rented apartment in Islamabad after fleeing his home in Gujrat because of death threats against him and his family, he said. The fatwa, a religious order to be obeyed by all Muslims, was issued after Khan protested anti-Christian violence in Kalupura last month. .....

     "Khan had gone out to buy milk for a daughter born on July 19 – named after the daughter who was killed in 2008, Sana Nasri Khan – when...five unidentified Muslim extremists began kicking and pounding on the door. 'When my wife asked who they were, they replied, ‘We have learned that you have disgraced Islam by recanting, therefore we will set your house on fire.... When my wife told them that I was not at home, they left a letter threatening to torch the house and kill my whole family and ordered me to recant Christianity and embrace Islam.'

     "Khan had sold some of his clothes at a pawnshop in order to buy milk for the baby, as he has been financially supporting six Christian families from his congregation who are on a Muslim extremist hit list....Often feeding her 5-month-old daughter water mixed with salt and sugar instead of milk or other supplements, Aster Nasri Khan said she was ready to die of starvation for the sake of Jesus and His church....

     [How he became a Christian:] "While fighting in Afghanistan’s civil war in 2000, he said, he found a New Testament lying on the battlefield. He immediately threw it away, but a divine voice seemed to be extending an invitation to him, he said. Islam vs. Christianity. Burning Qurans and Bibles: "The Obama administration is roundly denouncing plans to burn copies of the Quran. Christian leaders rightly condemn it... So why the silence when Bibles were burned?

      "In 2009, a church in the U.S. saved and held fundraisers to afford the cost of buying and shipping Bibles...to an American sergeant in Afghanistan. The Bibles were confiscated by military personnel, thrown away, and burned....

      "Would they have done that to Qurans?... Now that they have found their voices at the threat that Qurans will be burned, will they express disdain at the disrespectful treatment of Bibles?

'The coming Eid would expectedly be observed on 9/11; this a golden opportunity for President Obama to offer Eid prayers at Ground Zero and become Amir-ul-Momineen or Caliph of Muslims. ABC, NPR and PBS hosts equate Christian and Muslim violence: "After mentioning American Muslim terrorists Maj. Nidal Hasan (who murdered 13 and injured 30 fellow soldiers at Fort Hood) and Faisal Shahzad (who attempted to murder hundreds in Times Square), this dialogue ensued:

      Ali: "Somehow, the idea got into their (Hasan's and Shahzad's) minds that to kill other people is a great thing to do and that they would be rewarded in the hereafter."

      Smiley: "But Christians do that every single day in this country."

      Ali: "Do they blow people up?"
