Under Construction - the Other 9/11 Mosque: "With eyes on New York, it’s easy to overlook the other ground-zero mosque that is presently being built in Shanksville Pennsylvania at the Flight 93 crash site. That 9/11 site is home to what will soon be the world’s largest open-air mosque disguised as a memorial....

     "The giant half-mile wide Islamic-shaped red crescent of maple trees is slated for completion next year on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.... The 40 brave American heroes who seized control of the plane from Islamic terrorists...are going to be honored with a design that features the major symbol of their murderers - a red Islamic crescent large enough to be seen from aircraft flying overhead....

     "Another feature... is a colossal 93-foot minaret-like tower that Rawls argues indicates time for prayer by functioning as an Islamic sundial. The tower is shaped like a crescent with a crescent-shaped top. More crescents of trees surround the tower and together they too are oriented towards Mecca. The massive size of the tower and crescent displayed on over 2,000 acres of national park land, will undoubtedly convey a message of endorsement, proselytization, and aggrandizement of Islam.... Not a peep from the ACLU – it is too busy purging the country of Christian symbols...

      "...on September 15th, a national security report...concluded that the threat posed by Sharia to America is critical. One way the teachings of Sharia can infiltrate and undermine western civilization is via mosques. ...many American mosques are funded by Saudi Arabia, the country that gave America 15 of the 19 terrorists on 9/11, and are radicalized by its Wahhabi hardliners - meaning that these radicals choose and train the imams and also write or give final approval of the sermons....

     "Paralleling the construction of the Shanksville memorial-mosque is the growing number of mega-mosques across America, especially in rural areas.... 'It does seem to be part of a larger strategy to build mosques in rural areas and create Islamic communities..'"

First They Came for the Cartoonists: "Fear, however, seems to have been at work at The Washington Post and several other newspapers when they decided not to run a 'Non Sequitur' cartoon earlier this month.....The cartoon was so mild even the hair-trigger Council on American-Islamic Relations took no offense. 'The reference [to Muhammad] in this case was so vague that I don't even know if offense comes into it,' said CAIR spokesman....

When Benjamin Franklin was asked what members of the Constitution Convention were creating, he replied, 'A republic, madam, if you can keep it.' ....

     "To the extent that we allow clever people to circumvent the Constitution, while dazzling us with rhetoric, the Constitution will become just a meaningless piece of paper, as our freedoms are stolen from us.... It is not just evil people who would dismantle America. Many people who have no desire to destroy our freedoms simply have their own agendas that are singly or collectively incompatible with the survival of freedom....

 Approving occult corruption. Pagan police get paid pagan holidays [UK]: Police officers have been given the right to take days off to dance naked on the solstices, celebrate fertility rituals and burn Yule logs if they profess pagan beliefs. The Pagan Police Association claimed yesterday that it had been recognised by the Home Office as a 'diversity staff support association' — a status also enjoyed by groups representing female, black, gay, Muslim and disabled officers....

     "The eight pagan festivals include... Lammas (the harvest festival) and the Summer Solstice (when mead drinking and naked dancing are the order of the day). ...the pagan festivals also include Samhain (known to non-pagans as Hallowe’en), a day when police leave is often cancelled because of the high incidence of vandalism, violence and antisocial behaviour.... However, there is unease in policing circles that the widening definition of diversity is creating a morass of organisations based on religion, gender and sexual orientation that appear to emphasise division." Canada: Not Quite Dead: "Let's look at the symptoms. Weeks after student rioters forced the cancellation of Ann Coulter's speech at the University of Ottawa, Canadians are still congratulating themselves for that. Canadian feminist Susan Cole said, 'We don't have a First Amendment, we don't have a religion of free speech… Students sign off on all kinds of agreements as to how they'll behave on campus... in order to respect diversity, equity, all of the values that Canadians really care about. Those are the things that drive our political culture. Not freedom, not rugged individualism, not free speech. It's different, and for us, it works.'

      "Well, it certainly works for some of 'us.' If you're a feminist, a Marxist, a Muslim, or a 'gay' activist in Canada, you have free speech. If you're not, you don't....

     "Quebec has defined as its primary mission the abolition of 'homophobia' (another emotion...). The Canadian Supreme Court defines the federal government's mission...as 'designing society.' To that end, 'human rights' commissions assign themselves the duty to police the 'organizational culture' of a company or an association, right down to the level of 'informal social behavior, such as communication, decision-making and interpersonal relationships... which are the evidence of deeply held and largely unconscious'...values, assumptions and behavioral norms" [quotes from the Ontario Human Rights Commission's website]. Obama Faith Council debates requiring Fed. Fund recipients to remove religious symbols: "President Obama's faith council came to no clear conclusion after an impassioned debate on whether religious organizations receiving federal funds should be required to cover or remove religious symbols in service areas....

     "Donohue called on the administration to close down the faith office whose purpose, he said, has been radically altered from the original vision.... 'This is worse than just simply an insult, they're a fraud - because they're posing as though they are the friends of faith-based programs, when in fact they're not.' ...'When they hear 'religion,' they think 'church and state,' they think 'the separation of,' - they think how we can limit freedom as opposed to expanding freedom.'" Revolution: "...often... revolutions aren't military conflicts, and the good guys are the ones trying to keep the revolution from happening. In January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany by its elected president; he would spend the next two years consolidating his power with the legislative connivance of his political allies in the Reichstag.... Lenin and his Bolsheviks took control of Russia from Kerensky and his Social Democrats -- who had overthrown the Czar earlier that year -- entirely through parliamentary maneuvering....  What defines a revolution... is that when it's over a country has changed not merely its leaders and its laws, but its operating system....

The Character of Nations by Thomas Sowell: "'The Character of Nations' is about far more than the fact that there are different behavior patterns in different countries.... The real point is to show what kinds of behaviors produce what kinds of consequences -- in the economy, in the family, in the government and in other aspects of human life.... Among these patterns have been a concentration of decision-making power in government officials, an undermining of the role of the family, a 'non-judgmental' attitude toward behavior and a dissolution of the common bonds that hold a society together, leading to atomistic self-indulgences and group-identity politics that increasingly pits different segments of society against each other.

    "Those among the intelligentsia who say that we should 'learn from other countries' almost invariably mean that we should imitate what other countries have done. Angelo Codevilla argues that we should learn from other countries' mistakes..."

Muslim Demographics: This video gives us a glimpse of the transformation of the Western world. It sounds credible, but I can't guarantee its accuracy.

U.K.'s Smith known for redefining 'terrorism': "She led a charge to restrict the word 'terrorism,' instead urging government employees to refer to the phenomenon as 'anti-Islamic activity.' ...  '[T]here is nothing Islamic about the wish to terrorize, nothing Islamic about plotting murder, pain and grief,' she said." Christ is Risen! "In modern times Christians are tortured, imprisoned and slaughtered for what they believe in Communist China and in Islamist countries. Christianity, or any other religion for that matter, is not something that a president, no matter how highly held by a cult, can scrub from existence. Even if Obama someday succeeds in what appears to be his plan to drag America kicking and screaming into a wholly Socialist state, people will still worship the Almighty, likely even more so. ... Obama can tear up the Constitution... But... Obama cannot expunge Christianity from the souls of those who believe."

     No, not from the truly born-again Christian. But a lot of so-called Christians (who know neither Jesus nor His Word), are fast shifting sides. Beware of One-Party Classrooms: "Are the American people really willing to let the government be our nanny, manage our economy, federalize our schools, and decide which businesses can keep their doors open, what health care will be permitted, who will get new jobs and how extravagant will be the foreign handouts as Obama 'rejoins the world community'?

     "One answer ... may be what has been taught over the last 30 years in U.S. colleges and universities, where the radicals of the 1960s have become tenured professors.... These so-called academic departments teach students to hate America.... Census Bureau: We’ll Work with ‘Community Organizations’ to Count All Illegal Aliens in 2010: "The Census is used to apportion the seats in the U.S. House of Representatives.... This means that a state harboring more illegal aliens can gain more House seats.... This also means that the illegal alien population resident in the United States during a census year has the potential to alter the regional and philosophical balance of power in Congress. .... So, certainly that’s our goal to count every individual, every resident whether they’re documented, undocumented, whether they are citizens or non-citizens.” He said local community organizations will play a key role in making sure all illegal immigrants are counted." Thomas Sowell: Do Facts Matter?: "'Or is Obama's rhetoric and the media's spin enough to make facts irrelevant? ...It was liberal Democrats, led by Senator Christopher Dodd and Congressman Barney Frank, who for years... denied that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were taking big risks that could lead to a financial crisis. ... who for years refused requests from the Bush administration to set up an agency to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ...who for years pushed for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to go even further in promoting subprime mortgage loans, which are at the heart of today's financial crisis....

       "Then there is the question of being against the 'greed' of CEOs and for 'the people.' Franklin Raines made $90 million while he was head of Fannie Mae and mismanaging that institution into crisis. Who in Congress defended Franklin Raines? Liberal Democrats... at least one of whom referred to the 'lynching' of Raines, as if it was racist to hold him to the same standard as white CEOs.... "A highly disturbing video posted at TheCall’s website describes the extreme nature of this youth movement, and states that 'those who come will be marked forever and they will be history-makers and dreamers of God's dream.' Notice the young men and women in this brownish-greyish video have marks on their foreheads.

Whose Rights?  Hate speech or free speech?: "The British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, which held five days of hearings on those questions in Vancouver last week, will soon rule on whether Maclean's violated a provincial hate speech law by stirring up animosity toward Muslims....The Maclean's article, 'The Future Belongs to Islam,' was an excerpt from a book by Mark Steyn called 'America Alone.'... 'The problem with so-called hate speech laws is that they're not about facts,' [Steyn] said.... 'They're about feelings..... Western governments are becoming increasingly comfortable with the regulation of opinion.'" See the next two links:

Seeds of Persecution.  Biblical message now criminalized: "A new Colorado law is helping homosexual activists achieve their goal of forcing Christians to teach biblical condemnation of homosexuality only behind the closed doors of their sanctuaries.... The law makes it illegal to deny a person access to public accommodations, including restrooms and locker rooms, based on gender identity or the 'perception' of gender identity.... The law provides an exemption allowing religious groups to continue teaching, inside their doors, the Bible's condemnation of homosexuality....

Education.  Scholarship for gay, lesbian, bi teens: "Juan Vazquez graduated from Garinger High Friday, still unsure whether he'll be able to afford his dream of becoming a high school English teacher. But he is $2,500 closer this week, thanks to an unusual new Charlotte-based scholarship dedicated to students who have come out as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered. Called The Griffin Scholarship, it is believed to be the first college fund in the Carolinas awarded on the basis of sexual orientation." See A New Way of Thinking

Bishop says collapse of Christianity is wrecking British society - and Islam is filling the void: "The collapse of Christianity has wrecked British society, a leading Church of England bishop declared yesterday. It has destroyed family life and left the country defenceless against the rise of radical Islam in a moral and spiritual vacuum.

      "...the country was mired in a doctrine of 'endless self-indulgence' that had brought an explosion in public violence and binge-drinking. In a blow to Gordon Brown, he mocked the 'scramblings and scratchings' of politicians who try to cast new British values such as respect and tolerance.

     "The Pakistani-born bishop dated the downfall of Christianity from the 'social and sexual revolution' of the 1960s. He said Church leaders had capitulated to Marxist revolutionary thinking and quoted an academic who blames the loss of 'faith and piety among women' for the steep decline in Christian worship. ... Christian values of human dignity, equality and freedom could be lost as the way is left open for the advance of brands of Islam that do not respect Western values." Tony Blair's Leap of Faith: "On May 30 in New York, Blair, 55, formally unveils The Tony Blair Faith Foundation, which, among other things, is dedicated to proving that collaboration among those of different religious faiths can help address some of the world's most pressing social problems.... For Blair, the goal is to rescue faith from the twin challenges of irrelevance... and extremism.....

     "Blair now wants to tap into the global links that have been built between development activists and people of faith. 'Faith,' he says, 'can be a civilizing force in globalization,' which will doubtless be the theme of the course on the topic that he will be teaching at Yale this fall. His foundation will seek to partner with organizations to advance the U.N.'s eight Millennium Development Goals adopted in 2000....

      "Rick Warren's Saddleback Church, for example, uses church-based clinics to provide basic health care in Africa. (Warren will serve on the foundation's advisory board.)....

      "Blair says his foundation will try to ensure that faiths encounter one another 'through action as much as dialogue.' But the dialogue is important. In our conversations, Blair kept harking back to the idea that people of different faiths need to learn more about one another and understand where they can work in common. The alternative, he thinks, is that religious people will be tempted to define themselves in exclusion to others rather than in cooperation with them—with potentially disastrous results." The Evangelical Manifesto: What It Means [Actually, it means far more than this article states]: "The document, drafted over three years by nine evangelical theologians and writers, is largely the brainchild of social critic Os Guinness, whose most recent book, The Case for Civility: And Why Our Future Depends on It, develops many of the same themes on religion and public life that are addressed in the manifesto....

     "If all that seems to suggest a reasonable middle way, why are some leading evangelical thinkers not adding their names to the manifesto? Richard Land, head of the public policy arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, says he was not invited to sign.... A crucial 10 percent, he says, suffers from language that is 'at the very best imprecise or at the very best obtuse,' problems that he finds typical of most documents written by committees. ...

Rick Warren & Brian McLaren at DAVOS: "Two evangelical leaders, Rick Warren and Brian McLaren, who recently signed the common faith agreement Loving God and Neighbor Together, which called for Christian and Islamic leaders to work together, showed up in Davos, Switzerland, this week at the World Economic Forum.Davos featured a 'West-Islamic World Dialogue' with a 'Council of 100 Leaders (C-100) Promoting dialogue and cooperation between the Western and Islamic worlds.' According to one report, the purpose of the C-100 is sustain 'In-depth Dialogue and Discourse' and leverage 'Global Cooperative Action' with a network designed to:

• Catalyse change and make progress in one of the most pressing global issues of our time

• Advance thought leadership to shape and guide the agenda of West–Islam dialogue

My Trip to the Rethink Conference: "The overall view at the Rethink Conference... is that Christianity, as we have known it, has run its course and must be replaced. Co-hosted by Erwin Mc Manus and Robert Schuller, the conference declared that a paradigm shift is now underway. Speakers insisted that Christianity must be re-thought and re-invented if the name of Jesus Christ is going to survive here on planet earth.....

      "Schuller... explained how pleased he was to be able to look back at the tremendous leaders he had mentored over the years, which include Willow Creek’s...pastor Bill Hybels... Bishop Charles Blake, and Rick Warren....

     "Chuck Colson’s half hour talk was primarily focused on the importance of having faith based on the Scriptures.... But, just before his time was up, Colson... indicated how very encouraged he had become on how the emerging church was 'energizing' Christianity in such a positive way.... 2008: The year of the "Great Shift"? "Below is a selected list of New Year 'prophecies,' messages and conferences from the New Apostolic Reformation leaders in the evangelical world. You will notice the strong Dominionism themes which call for the transformation of culture and nations, bringing heaven to earth, perfecting the Bride of Christ on earth, training Joel's Army, taking over the neo-Kuyperian spheres of society, etc. These messages have little or nothing to do with the Gospel of repentance and the cross...." The Christian Woodstock: "At Explo, Mr. Huckabee also saw evangelicals shedding some of their cultural conservatism. Every night, Christian rock music had the delegates in the Cotton Bowl swaying and singing before Mr. Bright or Mr. Graham took the stage.... Looking back, it is hard to appreciate just how revolutionary these steps were for evangelicals in 1972....

     “Mr. Bright's son Zachary remembers telling his father: 'You can have a conservative view of music and keep what worked for you, or you can win [young people to Christ].' 'I'd rather win,' Campus Crusade's president responded.

     "The organization's embrace of rock music at Explo '72 went a long way toward revolutionizing evangelicalism's relationship with popular culture. Only a few fundamentalists seriously swim against the cultural tide today. Explo may not have changed the world, but it changed American evangelicalism.
